Yet holding him back from giving his recommendation to her passing the final assessment is her obsession with serial-killer Daniel Groves, whom she firmly believes is responsible for the kidnap of her elder sister Joslyn...missing for 10 long years.

Fiona is divided between her desire to find her sister and her FBI training cases. She and Jake are sent to Texas to help find the culprit who is leaving dead women embracing trees where cicadas are loudly singing. They'll face many dead ends before reaching leads that will produce positive results. Let Her Pray has a good plot and is entertaining.

After following another lead to find her sister, Fiona & Jake came to another dead end. Fiona goes home to rest. Jake goes after ice cream but gets a call about a new case. Fiona meets him at headquarters and they go to a case in Texas where the killer places the victims hugging the base of a tree. Cicadas have come out of a 17-year hibernation. Their sound seems louder each time a woman is killed & found. Could the Cicadas be giving them a clue to the murderer? Really enjoyed this book!
