I love how this series keeps me hooked. There are always so many ways that Aeon is pursuing goals, and it's technical, entertaining, and fun. I like that his court is changing some. I was glad at the somewhat positive meetings, but there are some large bombshells. The cometworld was informative, as well as raised more questions.
I really enjoy reading this series and I started reading it around the time the first book was released on KU. It was one of the first books in the litrpg genre that I read and it really won me over.
I like the series because there is a lot of character growth with the MC and supporting characters. The world building has been wonderful and to see how things change over the centuries based on the knowledge the MC has gained or the levels and skills or based on who the enemy is. A common enemy is demon kings and their minions and they have abilities to completely change the landscape and other enemies have been kingdoms or churches.
In the beginning of the story Aeon barely survived attacks from the demon kings but is now on a mission to become a god and end the cycle of demons and heroes on their world. The MC had found new friends and followers, has traveled to other worlds, and even saved a population from their world ending event.
The story could easily start to feel repetitive with the nature of cycles but the author does a great job of keeping the story interesting and bringing new elements to challenges that might otherwise be the same. There are a lot of rich and diverse characters as well. Sometimes we only know them for a short time, some are consistently part of the story for a time, and others are in and out of the story. I’ve read a lot of books and I’ve seen a lot of MC fall flat let alone supporting characters but I don’t see that at all in this story. Even the characters that only show up briefly get some time and attention that just rounds out the plot or storyline they are a part of.
I can’t think of any complaints I have about the series and I will continue to follow this to it’s end.

Took me a few chapters to get used to the setting (and the summary type chapters that cover roughly a span of one year). I keep wishing there was lot more depth to the characters and events that happen, but given the time scale that'd blow up the already long books.
Anyway, what I enjoy most is all the magical crafting/progression that Aeon organizes to deal with demons and other political problems. A few scenes that allowed us to see through side-characters POV were nice to have (I'd prefer a lot more of these). The ending was cool, would be interesting to see how the new powers/locations shape up in the next book.
This was okay. I don't know if I'm in a rut at the moment, or lost interest in this talking tree. It's more Geopolitics than the tree trying to make stuff work, or solve problems with organic/bio magic.
Hmm. I wonder if this is going where I think it is.
I would like to see Aeon capture and expand across the cosmos and use the demon rod he captured so long ago. I would also like to see Aeon do something with the dungeon core he captured and body of the Dryad he has in his Treasury. Overall well written there were a few grammar errors but nothing major, looking forward to book 5 when it releases in April.
As this story continues it’s not bad but very slow. Some points in it just drags on and on, to a point where you have to skip ahead to see how much more you need to read before something happens that draws you back into the story. But when the story picks up it’s really hard to put down. So overall it’s a good story but it can be very hard to get through at some points.
The battle new heroes and demons continues and Aeon strives to end it. He creates some high leveled followers and begins planet hopping trying to find resources to fight the demons and end the cycle.
Still a fun series. Steady pacing. Expanding world view. Not a standalone. Please enjoy
This series is a masterclass on how to keep a reader engaged throughout a long progression story without absolutely drowning them in minutiae. I am Incredibly impressed with the entire series.
This book reads terribly. Literally every third line is a garbled mess that breaks the story flow. The summary of the previous book is 2 lines which cover the last few chapters of the previous book and leave you trying to remember what happened. It seems all effort when out the window on this one- very disappointing.
