Only one word can describe the man who performs online as HRD4U.... FILTHY. He really knows how to work that massive asset on camera. Couple that with the dirty talk he uses to describe his fantasies while he does it.... It’s enough to drive me mad while I watch. Because just like my screenname says, INEEDSOMED. Too bad men like HRD4U don’t exist in real life. Apparently, finding a nice guy with a nasty mouth and a mammoth gift between the legs is asking too much. Instead, I just get snooze-inducing lovers and dates with no chemistry. Having my BFF Flynn McAllister right next door helps ease some of the pain of breakup after breakup. But he can’t know what I really want or why my relationships always fail. I just want to be dirty. But now, all my dreams might be coming true.... All because of my filthy friend.
Fabulous Filthy Friend is the second book in The Fury Family Series from USA Today Bestselling Author Gwyn McNamee. Grab this steamy best friends to lovers romance about a man with a hidden talent and the woman searching for her happily ever after only to find it next door.
Ebook. Purchased. (Freebie). 60% of terrible communication and being oblivious idiots. 40% of awkward spice and an unnecessary “twist”. Another case of blurb was better than the book.
Flynn was a stockbroker and financial consultant but the market crash hit him and his clients hard. After an offhand joke at the gym about how the women must love what he's packing Flynn started a webcam where he could live out his bad side anonymously. As HRD4U his subscribers could watch as he went about his normal tasks in the buff and as he pleasured himself never showing his face and having a voice modulator.
Rachel had tripped over the site HRD4U wishing she could find a man as gorgeous and built as HRD4U with his dirty-talking mouth. As INEEDSOMED she was able to live out her fantasies.
Flynn fell in love with the girl next door the second she stepped out of her car five years before, but being best friends was as far as it would ever go. Rachel was a kindergarten teacher and his sexual needs would have her running for the hills in disgust.
When she opened her best friend Flynn's door she caught him coming out of the shower and her jaw dropped. She knew he was fit, but the god standing before her was ripped. Too bad he was a nice Catholic mama's boy. He would be horrified if he knew what she yearned for in a man.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are FULLY developed and relatable. This book can be read as a standalone, but I recommend that you start reading this series from the beginning as the characters are recurring. Rachel is Bash's sister and her story is even steamier than his and his was pretty hot.
Rachel is so disappointed in dating and relationships. Why can't she find a nice guy who can be dirty in the bedroom? Is it too much to ask for a man to be a bad boy in bed instead of the normal mediocre ones she has dated?
Flynn is so full of guilt. Every time he steps into church with his mother he feels the eyes of Jesus passing judgment and after his last confession revealing his secrets and the pointed stares from the priest as he stands behind the pulpit delivering his sermon the pit in his stomach just grows deeper.
This book is smoking hot. The suspense of the EXPOSURE of Flynn's huge secret and the danger following him will keep you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommend!
Fabulous Filthy Friend is the second book in the Fury Family Series by Gwyn McNamee, featuring a steamy best friends to lovers romance for Rachel and Flynn. Rachel Fury is in a rut. She wants to find the perfect man— a nice guy with a dirty mouth. Until she finds him, she’ll watch her favorite webcam guy at night and hang out with her straight-laced BFF Flynn next door the rest of the time. Could her ideal man have been right in front of her along? Will they figure things out before it’s too late?
Rachel and Flynn definitely rocked the slow burn, bringing the angst and tension in spades! I wanted to scream at them multiple times to just talk to each other!! To be honest, I’m just not a fan of the miscommunication trope, but this plot line was definitely a unique one, was well-written, and was fun to read. The spice is pretty high throughout, whether they were together or not. Flynn brings the fire, for sure.🥵 I also enjoyed the extra suspense layer that was woven in that resulted in quite a dramatic twist. It was cool to see some dialogue with Bash and Jameson, and I look forward to diving into Jameson’s story next. He’s been quite the enigma!
I received a free ARC, and am leaving this review voluntarily. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶🌶
WOW!! This book was AMAZING!! I absolutely love the Fury family! They are amazing! My all time favorite trope is enemies to lovers but when an author (like Gwyn) writes friends-to-lovers and it’s so well done I become obsessed! I love Gwyn McNamee because she always gives us plot with the spice and WOW is this book spicy!! Flynn is a dirty talker and I’m obsessed! If only I could watch his webcam preformance 🥵
Believe it or not this book has a slight miscommunication trope, but Kaija you love it! I know I typically HATE that trope but man Flynn and his dirty talking completely hooked! And the anticipation of what’s going to happen keeps you going page after page!
Fabulous Filthy Friend is the second book in Gwyn McNamee’s The Fury Family series. This time, readers will get Rachel’s Fury story, and this one was a fun one to read, especially since it’s a Best Friends to Lovers and He Falls First story.
Look, I’m a huge Enemies to Lovers fan, but I’ve always been a sucker for a good Friends to Lovers story, especially if it’s written well. Fabulous Filthy Friend was the perfect spicy Best Friends to Lovers book I needed in my life. It does have the Miscommunication trope that I tend not to like in my romance books, but when it came to Flynn and Rachel’s slow-burn romance story, it didn’t bother me as much. I did get upset a couple of times because I wanted the characters to talk it out. After all, it was obvious they had feelings for one another, but they needed those secrets to stay secret until, eventually, everything was revealed. The anticipation is what had me turning the pages, and I was excited for these two characters to be together finally. It does take some time, and there may be some minor and major issues along the way, but believe me, it’s worth it. They needed to stop being so stubborn with one another.
This book was a lot spicier than the first book, but that’s due to Gwyn giving us Flynn’s webcam performances with his fans and letting us know ahead of time that he’s a dirty talker. The whole time he’s performing, he thinks about one woman who happens to be his best friend. I loved Flynn in his book because he was a sweet guy during the daytime, but at night, he changed completely, something Rachel didn’t get to see in person.
Overall, this is another great read from Gwyn McNamee, and I can’t wait for Jameson’s story next because he’s the mysterious Fury family member. He’s mentioned in this book, but only Bash Fury makes an appearance, and that’s over phone calls with Rachel because Rachel is missing home and her brothers.
Would I recommend this book? Yes. I recommend this to fans of Gwyn McNamee’s books and readers who love a spicy Best Friends to Lovers story that has lots of tension and angst.
“It’s like we were always meant to be like this. Two puzzle pieces that fit together perfectly.”
Fabulous Filthy Friend was fun, flirty and oh so steamy. This is the second story in the Fury Family series and revolves around Rachel and her best friend and neighbor, Flynn. These two best friends are perfect for each other, but it takes a chance encounter for them to realize it.
“It’s hard to think you’re worth it all when no one treats you that way. And it always seems I open my heart to people who won’t—except Flynn, of course.”
Rachel has always been attracted to Flynn, but she doesn’t think he can give her what she needs and she doesn’t want to ruin their friendship. She’s feisty and full of the Fury stubbornness so it’s hard for her to see what’s right in front of her face.
“I would never leave her if she needs me—in any way. Ever.”
Flynn has been in love with Rachel since the moment he met her, but he struggles with feelings of guilt over his secret life and he doesn’t think he’s good enough for Rachel. I loved how sweet and self-sacrificing he was.
“Every second. Every minute. Every hour. Every day we spent together just…made me love her.”
This was definitely a slow burn romance, but once the spark was ignited, the fire was explosive. These two were the perfect match for each other and I loved how they discovered the other facets to each other’s personalities. The steam level was off the charts and I enjoyed reading this fun and spicy story.
What a trip this was! Oh my goodness! I loved this one and further proves why I love Gwyn’s books. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this book. I loved Flynn and I loved Rachel. She surprised me in this story and what her needs are when it comes to what she wants in the bedroom. There was heat, emotion and lots of intense moments that you just felt with every fiber of your being. It was explosive, dirty and just the type of book I enjoy. I could see how it would play out which I didn’t take as a bad thing with this story. I welcomed it and accepted it with open arms. I love how Flynn has his two personas. With his upbringing, I’m not exactly surprised but I can definitely see how it can trigger his need to do videos. I always love reading about the hero or heroine’s identity that they hide from the real world and keep to themselves for protection over society. Flynn and Rachel epitomized this. Both thoughts and actions that are considered not acceptable in today’s world were embraced in each other and I loved being a part of it. It opens the door to things you like but wouldn’t necessarily act on for either fear of not doing it properly, or judgement. Heck, it may even because while you like reading about it, you can’t act on it yourself though you would love to try. Some people seamlessly know how to do it properly and enjoy it while others struggle just expressing what they want. I hope Jameson’s story and the last book have more of whatever this was. I’m excited!
❤️Best friends to lovers ❤️Angst ❤️Webcam worker ❤️Neighbor Romance
Fabulous Filthy Friend is book 2 in the Fury Family Series and is a best friend/neighbors to lovers situation.
Rachel is a kindergarten teacher looking for love in all the wrong places. She wants a man that can talk dirty and dominate her in the bedroom. She is afraid to express this to anyone, including her BFF Flynn for fear of judgement.
“I’ve been his the whole time; I just didn’t know it.”
Flynn is a “mama’s boy” who goes to mass and to brunch with his mom every Sunday and is what Rachel thinks is the perfect good guy. He has a whole secret life that he is keeping from her that has him feeling guilty and it begins to affect their relationship.
“Only one word can describe the man who performs online as HRD4U…Filthy.”
I have never wanted to scream at two characters in a book so much in my life!!! These two have been in love with each other for YEARS and both fighting it for fear of losing each other. This book was definitely a slow burn but I love how their story builds because when they finally gave in…holy 🥵🥵🥵 did it heat up! He’s not a filthy friend for nothing. The words coming out of his mouth had me melting.
“She tastes exactly like I always imagined she would-sweet and perfect. She tastes like home. Like forever. Like everything I’ve been waiting and praying for my entire f*cking life.”
Fabulous Filthy Friend is the second book in the Fury family saga, and I was not disappointed. It’s featuring a steamy best friends to lovers romance for Rachel and Flynn. Definitely great chemistry and character progression. I absolutely love the Fury family!!!
Flynn and Rachel are best friends and even though they are attracted to each other, they know it'll never work out if they decided to cross that line. Rachel and Flynn definitely rocked the slow burn, and also bringing the angst and tension in spades. She's a kindergarten teacher who loves dirty talk and he's the sweet catholic mama's boy who has a dirty mouth. Rachel is feeling a bit lonely and needs to find a man, one similar to the man she’s been following on an adults only site. Flynn ends up being the same guy she’s been following on the webcam site. It was funny to watch Flynn and Rachel discover that everything that they thought about each other, was not true. This book has a slight miscommunication trope and it’s not usually one of my favorite tropes, but Gwyn makes this one maybe change my mind.
I loved watching these two interact with each other unknowingly online. This plotline was definitely a unique one, it was well-written and was fun to read. This is currently my favorite best friends to lovers story!! Another amazing story from Gwyn McNamee!! I look forward to diving into Jameson’s story next.
THE FURY FAMILY SERIES BOOK 2 Fabulous Filthy Friend
Seriously, who doesn't love a well done alliteration. FURY FAMILY FABULOUS FILTHY FRIEND hehehe it tickles the lips when you say it out loud.
Here is my review; THERE IS A TON OF SEX IN THIS STORY - LIKE OTT SEXY TIMES. If that's your jam, this is the book for you.
In addition to all the sex, there is an aspect of this story that is really cool. I do not want to give anything away (besides the fact that it's filled - FILLED with sex) so won't go into it here, but the fact that you can look at something and interpret it so many different ways.
THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPED OVER THE LAZY DOG - is that statement telling us that the dog is lazy and the fox, being so quick, had to jump over it? or is it saying that that dog had a long hard day and deserves to be lazy and the a$$ whole fox was being a jerk jumping over the dog? Who knows because we didn't invent the sentence. I think it's all in the "eye of the beholder" and yet we are held to standards that we have no idea who is interpreting. EGADS - ok, jumping down from my pulpit.
~Deep Breathe~ In conclusion, this is one sitting, one handed read, that can absolutely be read as a stand-alone as it has very well defined lines.
📷 Best Friends to Lovers 📷 Neighbors 📷 Two person POV 📷 Great build up and tension 📷 Angst 📷 Text dialogue, banter, and sooo much dirty talk!
Flynn McAllister has a side hustle that is fueled by his biggest secret. Will he risk everything to reveal the truth?
Rachel Fury is struggling to find a guy that can fulfill all her desires. Until then, she'll have to settle for the one guy who she can't talk about to her best friend. If she only knew ;).
When Rachel and Flynn take matters into their own hands will they discover that their inner desires are the same?
Risks, secrets, and a whole lot of sexy goodness in a story about friendships, boundaries, and taking chances.
While this is part of a series and can be read as a standalone if you loved Bash Fury, you're not going to want to miss his sister Rachel! Oh, and be warned .... you'll never look at a shower the same way again ;).
Scorchin Hot Read (☕🔥🔥🔥🔥) Caution, may lead to unexpected need to turn on the A/C. So steamy the pages ignite. May include a dash of Erotic elements or allude to further exploration of desire and need.
Thank you Gwyn McNamee for the advance reader copy for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
This is the second book in The Fury Family series and it is an entertaining read. Flynn is a good boy for all accounts and purposes, but he has a wild side that he keeps hidden from everyone. Rachel is Flynn’s best friend, and she is a kindergarten teacher who is looking for love in all the wrong places. Flynn is to Rachel what jelly is to peanut butter. They are always there for the other in that ride or die kind of way. Their attraction is off the charts but neither one is willing to risk the friendship that they have built. Adding insult to injury, each one is keeping a secret from the other that has the potential to derail it all. Can these two weather any storm? Overall, the storyline has a lot of steam, and the writing style flows well but there was just something about these two characters that, at times, I kept feeling a disconnect. This is a slow burn with mega drama to keep a reader turning the page.
So if you've read Dirty Pucking Player, then you'll know Bash's sister Rachel, this is her book. You don't have to have read it first, this is a complete standalone.
You just know these two were perfect for each other, and everyone around them did too. But they are both too blind to see what's in front of them. They both have a dirty side to their sex life, but to the outside world, they are both squeaky clean. Both thinking the other is too good for them, was sweet, although it was repeated a lot in the story and was just bordering on me thinking... how many times can you say this.... when the story changed and it stopped.
So I loved the way they actually found out about each other, it was brilliant! And just when I think it's all happy endings, Flynn manages to put a spanner in the works. I was biting my nails, hoping they could get everything sorted between them.
Holy moly!!!!! I think I need a change of clothes. Flynn's dirty talk had me melting!!!! This whole story had me giggling and anticipating when they would figure it out. Flynn and Rachel are best friends and even though they are attracted to each other they know it'll never work out if they decided to cross that line. They both have dirty secrets they keep from each other. She's a kindergarten teacher who loves dirty talk and he's the sweet catholic mama's boy who has a dirty mouth and a webcam site. They hide who they really are from each other and settle for the minimum in life.
This story was so unique and what are the chances your best friend AND next-door neighbor is the guy you've been watching online. Like the night at the bar. How?!!!!! And when they finally do figure it out... so hot!!! This was sooooo good!
Where to start, where to start?! So this is another book I’m adding to my ABSOLUTE SWOONWORTHY collection-books that give me the absolute warm and fuzzies just based on how they’re written. I loved this book and my only regret was that I wished I could’ve finished it earlier!!
The read is more plot heavy and just like it’s predecessor, really takes the time out to develop characters and give them genuine flaws that aren’t easy to overcome. I haven’t read too many best-friends to lovers in a while, but this easily takes the number 1 spot for that trope! I love how well written it is and I love the main & secondary characters even though Flynn & Rachel are knuckleheads in their own rights. Y’all seriously need to buy this book like NOW! It’s sweet, steamy, and an amazingly developed love story!
I've never been a big fan of friends to lovers, but the whole web cam thing totally had me hooked. I just didn't understand how she didn't know it was him. I'm sure she knew his body, but more than that.. did she not know the layout of his house? Or how about he said he would make pancakes in the AM and then she walked in on him basically naked about to make.. pancakes. like .... how you that oblivious woman! lmao.
The ending was awesome, though, I would've chosen reverse cowgirl facing the cam to end it. All about the best view, right? lol
Seriously, it was a good story. I didn't read book one and you don't need to for you to understand book two, but there are characters and things mentioned that you would probably understand and get if you read book one first.
Spice 2.5/5 Emotional .5/5 Humor .5/5 World Building 3.5/5 Overall 4/5
Fabulous Filthy Friend is the second installment of The Fury Family series by Gwyn McNamee. I loved getting to know Rachel and her best friend, Flynn. This novel was a slow burn if I've ever read one, but once the burn ignited, it truly was fire!
I loved the uniqueness of Flynn's alter ego, so to speak, and his struggle to balance that with his upbringing and job and the rest of his image.
I really enjoyed Rachel's character, too! She sure is a Fury through and through. She is strong willed and doesn't want to settle, but also in denial about what is right in front of her.
I loved the dynamic between Rachel and Flynn. From best friends to more with some personal growth in between! I cannot wait to get to know Jameson in the next novel!
All the lovers of dirty talk unite! This is an absolute must if you love to hear some dirty talk in the bedroom! A best friends to lovers romance full of angst and tension until it all bubbles over into an intense and steamy relationship. Flynn and Rachel deal with struggles and twists along the way, but the HEA at the end is well worth it! I’m not a personal fan of the miscommunication trope, but I know that many people out there are because it causes so much tension, and Gwynn McNamee delivered in this book. It was spicy and the character backgrounds were different than anything I’ve read before. Book 2 in the Fury family series is a must if you like best friends who become lovers when they find out their preconceived notions about each other were very, very wrong ♥️.
I've never read this author before but something about this blurb called to me. I saw an ad on Instagram and just needed Flynn in my life.
Flynn hides the true nature and his BDE. His mild mannered best friend nature and his sexy dirty talking self are two sides to this man. He doesn't let them both out to play until her...INEEDSOMED.
Tuns out he isn't the only one with secrets.
This book is more sweet than sexy and it works. I must be in a more raunchy mood because it was fun but not what I expected. The mystery aspect felt like it was unnecessary and the ending to close that out was rushed. But it's complete with an HEA and her getting the D so...
This was so bad. What book did everyone else read?
Here's the best way to read this book, it will take you like 20 minutes: read one section from each of their POVs and then just read the dialogue. Because they literally have all the exact same thoughts throughout pretty much the entire book. Everything is so repetitive and nothing is new. Like, I am SO MAD that I bothered to read this book.
Also, WTF with the "mystery"? That was the only reason I kept reading and it turned out to be so utterly stupid and unnecessary. The two MCs were boring, just horny, and really kind of dumb. Also, this book is not super spicy, not really even sexy, and there is some super skeeviness. I don't think I could even give this author a second chance. Ugh.
Holy hotness. I love that this Fury story is about Rachel...the female Fury. The one who misses her Mom and her Dad, even though he was not the world's greatest dad.
To have your best friend right next door is the best ever. Rachel doesn't want to do anything to wreck her friendship with Flynn. He's been with her for so long now and helped her navigate many failed relationsbips.
Flynn is aching for his best friend. There is no way he's going to mess up the relationship with his best friend even if it means he never gets his happy ending.
Lots of fantasies and amazingly hot screen sex. Perfect reading for a weekend.
What happens when you fall in love your best friend of five years. Nothing, because she deserves a wholesome, good guy who will be gentle with her. Rachel has dated ‘good guys’ and the relationship never lasts. What she craves is a good guy who will be sinfully bad in bed. Her best friend Flynn is hot, but he’s a good church-going mama’s boy… or is he? Throw in a mystery stalker and you have an amazing story that will have you pulling out your hair with the need to yell at these two apparently clueless people! 5 ⭐️ for this book! I LOVE all 3 books in this trilogy. No cliffhanger in each book.
Flynn & Rachel have been best friends for five years and have feelings for each other but don't discuss it or act on it (sigh) Flynn secretly has a porn site he performs anonymously on to earn extra money & a WHOLE lot of catholic guilt. Rachel can't seem to find a man to take care of her needs and logs in one night not knowing it's him and is hooked. Identities are revealed along with misunderstandings, trust issues, and fabulous sex. Nothing new that hasn't been written before and there was too much inner dialogue on feelings that should have just been told to each other in the first place
The story line is good, up until for whatever reason, he refuses to let go of the site that he started to distract himself from her. It caused him a lot of guilt, and he thought he had a stalker from the site that put him in danger. And when she, and another person suggested he shut it down, he got defensive. She also told him the first night it was a dealbreaker for her, and instead of listening, he insisted he thinks she would enjoy being on the site too. Some red flags that never really got talked out between them, that she ends up having to deal with.
🔥🔥🔥 🥵 Rachel and Flynn are best friends/neighbors. Rachel and Flynn have ideas about what the other deserves or is like behind closed doors. It just goes to show that you don’t know unless you ask! HRD4U brings the heat and naughty pleasure. INEEDSOMED steps out of her comfort zone and with anonymity can finally say what she really wants. These two are matched perfectly in every way but the journey to that realization is a ride that I am willing to take again! Gwyn out did herself with this one with a balance between hot/steamy and sweet/wholesome.
Filthy Friend is everything that you can expect from Gwyn McNamee!
Best friends to lovers. This story is FILTHY, but we wouldn’t want it any other way. I loved watching these two interact with each other unknowingly online. My #1 scene is when Flynn goes and confesses his sins to the priest, finding verses in the Bible to try to justify what he has been doing. And the way the priest looks at him during Mass. Its funny to watch Flynn and Racheal discover that everything that they thought of the other person was not true. Another amazing story from Gwyn McNamee
Rachel and Flynn are mouth watering good, sexy, steamy, and a page turner. Best friends, there for each other, each with feelings for the other, never to act on it, because they both feel the other is looking for someone specific. If they only knew the truth. Flynn is keeping a HUGE secret from Rachel and she has a small one of her own. Both wanting the other, but too scared to do something about it. That is until one moment when it all clicked for them. Can they trust what they feel is real or will they regret losing their friendship? Awesome read by this author, loved it.
Flynn and Rachel have been best friends for years never crossing the line. Flynn has been in love with Rachel for years. He thinks of her as innocent and sweet. He bears a lot of guilt due to his secret life. Rachel has the worst luck when it comes to relationships. Too goody. Too vanilla. Flynn would be perfect except he was raised in a Catholic school and is somewhat a Mama's boy. HRD4U.com live is an outlet. Never responds to viewers dms. Until.... INEEDSOMED posted a few comments. A unique friends to lovers story with a sprinkle of suspense.
