The world is collapsing. Planesfall is imminent. Cha Ming and friends have returned to the Inkwell Plane. They are much strengthened from their experiences in the Heartforge Realm and ready to make a difference. But it’s not just them who have returned—their enemies have as well. What’s worse, the Churches of Jezeriah and Harid Dej have captured the Monkey King. It falls to his student, Cha Ming, to save him. Yet all this pales in comparison to the true the rise of the Inkwell Clan and their leader’s mysterious rebirth. The Inkwell Plane is crumbling at the seams, and only Cha Ming, the wielder of the Clear Sky Brush, can save it.
Many longer series lose the feeling of progression and start to become a chore to finish. Although this world is quite complex, it hasn't fallen into that trap. I also love the quick summary at the start of each book and wish other series did the same.
Each book is a little better and a little cooler. Obviously very similar story plots happen multiple times but with different characters and with different emotional twists. It’s awesome. Can’t wait for book 19.
I blew through this series. I'll probably reread them because I love the characters so much. This latest book shows that Patrick is growing as an author much like Vha Ming is growing as painter.
Finally, we moved on to the world of immortals and didn't expect a lot of things that happened. I love the series and am very addicted to it. I can't wait for next saga to begin to keep up the great work !!!!
