Danny and Dixie Fortune are propelled into a frightening new world when they set out on a treacherous search for their missing father, who is trapped somewhere in the past.
Gilbert Morris was one of today's best-known Christian novelists. He lived in Gulf Shores, Alabama, with his wife, Johnnie. He is the father to Lynn Morris and Alan Morris
14 year-old twins Danny and Dixie Fortune return for another adventure through time. This time, they explore the American frontier in the early 1700s, first in the Ohio Valley and next in western Virginia. Along the way, they encounter attacks by wild animals and Indians before joining a young George Washington during the French and Indian War. We also get a look at the social life in Danny and Dixie's high school, with Danny coming to odds with his history teacher about the Mayflower, as well as his admiration (from afar) for Courtney, a popular rich girl. In the end, the search for James Fortune, their missing father, is narrowed down, and the stage is set for a grand finale in the next book.
