- Praise - 4.5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Daaaaaaamn!!!!!! It was SO SO SO HOT in there!!!!’
“You want me to f… u.. c…k you in the front seat of this car, in front of people passing by, so we both get sent to jail? Because if you touch it, that’s exactly where this is going.” “Worth it,” I mumble, reaching again.
Emerson and Charlotte(Charlie)‘s story was so spicy but had a nice flow between them. He might be older than her, her ex dad but had that playful side she enjoyed and also, helped her to bloom from her insecurities. They had a nice relationship as Emerson (the official version) and Charlotte and as Emerson (just a regular guy) and Charlie.
“How long have you and Emerson been together?” she asks casually. “We’re not. I’m just his secretary,” “You have a bite mark on your ass cheek, Charlotte.” 💋
- Eyes on me - 3/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It took me a while to get into this book. It was not as easy as it was with the first one . Maybe cos I’m not into step-siblings that much even tho they were not blood related. Spice was really good tho. Well, definitely some things happened really fast between them.
Ps. Gerratt’s depression wasn’t really “shown” in the story but mentioned nearly at the end. (I understand why some people don’t like this)
My Favourtie Series of 2023!! What's your kink? The Salacious Players Club is a safe place for both men and women to truly explore and find what turns you one.
Spice:🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
Oh my god this series is a true work of art!! It's truly my favorite smut series ever a total of 6 books and they were all masterpieces. You really do get all the smut and spice you could ever dream of literally in every chapter, and you fall in love with the characters in each book. The best part is they are both stand alones but they read well I order because you get to learn what each of the owners of SPC kinks are.
But you really do fall in love with the characters and even though some of these Relationships are kind of out there you can't help but love all of them together because all the couples are perfect for one another in their own tabo ways.
Forgive me fellow romance readers, for I have sinned. I have read hundreds of romance books over the years, but not one has been a Sara Cate book 😱Though this was not my intention, I must be held accountable to my community. I’ve seen the err of my ways thanks to @hambright_pr who so graciously provided me with a copy of The Anti-Hero to review. I shall not make this mistake again.
You’ll love this if you enjoy: 🫦 Fake dating 🔥 Opposites attract ⛪︎ Preacher ⛓️ Degradation kink 📹 Cam work/sex tapes For real though, who doesn’t love a little religious trauma and degradation in their romance?!😂
It’s honestly been a while since I read something so down and dirty, and this was a good time. Adam and Sage were a cool couple that made absolutely no sense on paper, but that is what made them so much fun to read. Adam’s progression from good boy to bad boy was a fun twist on the usual reformed playboy trope and Sage…I just wanted her happy, safe and loved which she was by the end. I will def be reading more Sara Cate in the future!! 🫡
This was written really well. I fell in love with Emerson along with Charlie. I especially loved how he really tried to put Beau first and was a great Dad. There were strong emotions, steamy scenes and overall great writing!
EYES ON ME: Fun and Sexy
This book was on fire! It jumps right into the story and captured me right from the beginning. Garett and Mia are so perfectly flawed and such a good match. I loved all the scenes with them and growth of their relationship and each other! It has the right amount of steamy scenes that made it even better! I like how it addressed depression and self image issues many of us suffer from and importance of living yourself. Soooo looking forward to Hunter/Isabel and Drake’s book next!!
At first, I was a little unsure the dynamics between the characters felt a bit strange, and I was honestly unhinged at the beginning 😅. Still, I couldn’t STOP reading. Sarah Cate’s writing has that OMG effect that keeps pulling you in. Her writing is smooth and addictive, making both books very easy and fast to read. The tension is built perfectly, and the spice is intense but it really gives depth into the stories , its well written🔥, if you like spicy books go ahead and open the book , otherwise put it down 😅. Overall, I really enjoyed my read and would absolutely recommend these books 😍📖
To my friends I described this series as "50 shades on steroids" I loved the style of writing and the series had me hooked, I found them hard to put down. All of the books are linked together but telling everyone's versions of their lives after becoming owners or players at the salacious players club each with their own exciting and sexy tale to tell. These are books you didnt know you needed. Enjoy Lx
Ok, the ex-boyfriends’ hot dad trope I was ok with… even though age-gap romances with older men and much younger women give me the ick. I just felt like Charlie and Emerson worked somehow. That said, Garett and Mia absolutely did not work for me and I couldn’t get past the age-gap and unchecked power dynamics. 🤢 got the ick so baddddd, step-siblings to lovers is just not for me. 🫣
It was okay. I haven't read a book like this in such a long time, also I've kinda moved from this type of book, so halfway through the book I got bored with it being the same. It was an okay and short read. Maybe just not my type of book anymore.
Why are there so many 4/5 star reviews for this book/series? lol. Don’t get me wrong I think the author can write well, I just don’t like the story. It was a bookclub read so I didn’t DNF it but I probably would have otherwise. I guess I’m just not into the step sibling trope lol idk
