Alpha reindeer shifter, Dancer, long time member of one of the best Santa sleigh teams, is in need of a vacation–not according to him, but what Santa says goes. He books a relaxing fall color tour throughout gorgeous Michigan hoping to relax and rejuvenate, even if he doesn’t really feel that he needs to.
Too bad fate has other plans.
Omega reindeer shifter, Milton, long time member of I-hate-Christmas Club, has spent his whole life avoiding members of Santa’s sleigh teams. It was easy, until he booked a vacation and somehow landed in the same cabin as Christmas personified.
Milton doesn’t enjoy the holiday season, and he doesn’t enjoy the pompous, self-importance that radiates from Santa’s reindeer. Being stuck on vacation with one of them is his worst nightmare.
Unless he can open his heart to heal past hurts and Dancer can open his mind to realize the holiday season is hard on a lot of people…

Jena began writing in January of 2013 as a New Year's Resolution--and so far she has stuck to it!
She lives in Michigan. By day she works as a web developer, and at night she writes. Born and raised on a farm, she spends most of her free time outdoors, playing in the garden, or riding her horses. She also helps run the family dairy farm.
This was so sweet and fun! I loved that the universe kept pushing Dancer and Milton together at every single opportunity. I also loved that they were opposites in almost every aspect and yet they found themselves falling for each other. This was really sweet and the world building was really interesting. Dancer is getting four out of five stars!
Dancer is from the Dancer line of reindeer shifters and is part of one of the Santa's reindeer team. Instead of living in Christmas town, most of the year he runs his own tree farm in Michigan. When he returns to Christmas Town to get ready from the Christmas Eve run, he learns that most of the reindeer shifters on Santa's team have been sent on a forced vacation. He decides to spend his vacation on a leaf peeking tour of the UP. When he arrives at the airport, he finds out his seat has been double booked. He meets Milton a nonflying reindeer shifter who had the same seat. Dancer is drawn to Milton and offers to upgrade both of them to first class. He hopes to spend more time with Milton but her seems mad at him. Then he arrives at the resort to find out his cabin is double booked with Milton. Something seems to be forcing the two together.
Milton is a nonflying reindeer shifter. He has always resented all the attention that Santa's reindeer get. When he finds his seat on his vacation flight is doubled booked with Dancer, he is very annoyed. He can't afford to upgrade to first class. However Dancer pays for the upgrade for both of them. Milton is appreciative but still resents Dancer and rudely turns him down when he asks to exchange numbers. On his way to the resort he starts to feel guilty about how he treated Dancer and decides to apologize if he meets him again. When he arrives at the resort, he learns that his cabin has been double booked with Dancer. They decide to share the cabin and Milton apologizes. That is the start to a fantastic vacation fling.

This book is part of the series Mated at the North Pole and can be enjoyed as a stand alone. This is a great Christmas story that will help you get into the holiday spirit. This is the story of Milton and Dancer. Milton is an omega reindeer shifter who can't fly. As well, he is the epitome of grumpy, negative and sarcastic. Dancer on the other hand is an alpha reindeer shifter that does have the ability to pull Santa's Sleigh. He is happy, laid back and the glass is always half full in his eyes. Both are opposites on the spectrum. They meet while enroute to enjoy the fall colours in northern Michigan. You just know the elves or Santa had a hand in making sure they keep meeting. Dancer thinks Milton is perfect as he is. Milton thinks that Dancer is way out of his league so rejecting him first seems like the smartest play. This is their story. There is lots of chemistry between them both. The story is well written and easy to read. I really enjoyed it. I loved the grumpiness and the acceptance. I am looking forward to more books in this series.

Alpha reindeer shifter Dancer takes a mandatory vacation from his North Pole duties and decides to enjoy a fall color tour of Northern Michigan. Some travel mix-ups have him repeatedly crossing paths with omega reindeer shifter Milton and the two wind up sharing a cabin together. Milton takes a much more measured approach to life than Dancer, nor does he share the same love for the Christmas season, but things quickly heat up between two and their connection grows as they get to know one another. Dancer is so positive and supportive of Milton, as he brings out the best in his companion, even as he tries to convince Milton that what they share is more than a vacation fling. Loved Dancer helping to fulfill Gloria’s dream and Milton’s love and support of those in his care. Sweet Christmastime reindeer shifter romance with a little bit of Christmas magic, loving parents, and a lil reindeer calf.
Dancer, an alpha reindeer shifter, takes a break from his duties at the North Pole to explore the beautiful autumn foliage of Northern Michigan. However, due to some travel mishaps, he keeps running into Milton, an omega reindeer shifter. Eventually, the two end up sharing a cozy cabin. Despite their differences in outlook on life and the Christmas season, they both develop a strong attraction towards each other. Dancer is always there to encourage and support Milton, helping him become the best version of himself, and they both realize that their connection is more than just a vacation fling. The story also highlights Dancer’s efforts to fulfill Gloria’s dream and Milton’s caring nature towards those around him. It’s a heartwarming Christmas-themed romance, featuring reindeer shifters, holiday magic, loving parents, and an adorable reindeer calf.
“Look, it was great meeting you, and you know what, what you do is pretty cool. It is very admirable, and you make a lot of people very happy. But I’m not taking your number.” “You don’t believe in fate?” I snorted. “If this happens again, I’ll believe in fate. See you around, Dancer.”
All I can say to that, is challenge accepted! ;)
I enjoyed this book. I previously read Dasher and loved the concept of Santa's reindeer- as well as a great many Santas- so I was looking forward to reading more from this multi-author series. Another forced vacation brings our couple together. I liked the dynamic of Dasher, an alpha reindeer of Santa's sleigh, and Milton, his anti-Christmas exact opposite. The attraction was definitely mutual. Throw in having to share a cabin, and only one bed, and this was a fun read. 4 stars.
Alpha reindeer shifter Dancer has been a member of a Santa sleigh team for a long time. He needs to take a vacation because Santa is insisting so he decides on a Michigan autumn tour. Milton is an Omega reindeer shifter who hates Christmas but has somehow landed on vacation in a cabin with Dancer. Can Milton open his heart to heal past hurts and Dancer can open his mind to realize the holiday season is hard on a lot of people…
This was a sweet holiday story with opposites attract kind of feeling considering the dislike of Milton for Dasher and what he stands for. I loved that Milton slowly came around and that they found a way to direct all of that passion into something different. This was easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content with Mpreg as it is set in the Omegaverse.

******* SPOILER ALERT ****** I Love the reindeer books. I also love Jena Wade's writing. I loved that Dancer was the super, super optimist which balanced out Milton's proclivity towards everything pessimistic and negative. Although once they started doing things on their vacation and "sleeping together " at night, some of the negatives became positives. Milton and Dancer were perfect together. The only thing that bothered me was it was clear that they were fated because they were smelling each other's special smell that no one else has if you are fated. So if they are fated, even knowing that at the end, why didn't they bite each other's neck to make it permanent.
Take time to read through both books. What are your thoughts about Dasher and Dancer?
I have read this book via Kindle Unlimited and this is my honest opinion of the story. I saw this book on my Kindle Unlimited suggestion list and thought I would give it a try. Milton is a bit of a grouch, it becomes apparent why he's like that. It was refreshing to see, for some people, Christmas isn't just about the children, but for all people, even the elderly. Milton's and Dancer's personalities complimented each other. As one of my "go to" favourite authors, Jena has excelled yet again. I'd encourage everyone to read it. On a side note, I'm just waiting for Jena to complete the MC Book in the Bake Auction series!
What's not to love about the grumpy sunshine trope mixed with reindeer mpreg! Jena combined my love of fall foliage for the backdrop of this courtship along with the holiday cheer of being ready for the Christmas holidays! It's a perfect balance to show these two you accept each other as you are, and you can find happiness anywhere. Love that both Milton & Prancer live away from the North Pole and find their homes in Michigan where fate intervenes putting them in each other's past multiple times to show they were meant to give it a go. It's a fun low angst holiday read that I'm looking forward to in this combined universe.
Have been loving reading about Santa’s reindeer. Dancer is told he needs to book a vacation and even though he doesn’t live at the North Pole, but in Michigan, he decides to go for a fall tour. Milton also lives in Michigan and wants to go for a fall tour further North. There is a mixup at the airport for his flight and meets Dancer. When Dancer says he will pay for both of them to fly first class, he agrees. This started their story with how they spent their week together and fell in love. Love this world building, great chemistry and heat. Love this world and look forward to reading the other books in the series.
Learning how the other half live can be fun. Dancer, alpha reindeer on one of the best sleigh teams is required by Santa to take a vacation. He reluctantly books a fall color tour through Michigan. Omega reindeer shifter is not a great fan of Christmas, he especially doesn't like the Alpha reindeers on the Santas' teams. So, it's a shocker when a mixup lands him sharing a cabin with Dancer. We get to see how two guys we never expect to find a friendship work toward a little bit more. Nice story, sweet characters, good flow. Great additon to the series. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a fun quick story featuring a pessimistic non flying reindeer shifter and one of Santa's flying reindeer shifters. Milton and Dancer were both booked for the same airplane seat. Then they discovered they were both booked for the same cabin. Trying to make the best of the situation, Milton and Dancer decide to share the cabin. They definitely had a wonderful and spicy time together but Milton isn't sure he can commit to anything beyond their vacation fling. This sweet story was full of Christmas magic. I loved Dancer's positive attitude and his love for sugar cookies.
The typos!!!! Very frustrating !! Likes instead of lips !! Come on !!! Don't author and editor read the book before publishing ?
The story was not very good !! Very shallow writing ! One example : Milton wants to meet Dancer while he's in Michigan but Dancer is in the North Pole. What's the solution ? Think about it ! I mean, it's so easy !!! Just WISH to be in the North Pole !!!! Tadam !! Milton just miraculously appeared in North Pole !! See what I mean ? Everything happens too rapidly. It's just surfing on things ! Bad and cheap !! Sorry !!

Totally enjoyed book 2 in this series. Not too many times you get somewhat of a grumpy omega but I will say Milton has major attitude. So when Dancer shows up with all the mix ups which I would call fate, he re evaluates himself. Dancer is definitely sunshiny to Milton's grump which makes this all the more entertaining. Their romance was fun and sweet. Oh yeah...both are reindeer shifters...BONUS...Loved IT!.

"Dancer" by Jena Wade is a sweet little MM Christmas novella. Even though it's short in length, the story didn't feel overly rushed or like anything was missing. Milton and Dancer's love story got off to a bumpy start, with a couple of serendipitous run-ins. But things started to smooth over once Milton let go and let himself believe that good things could happen. Expect a pessimistic little omega, a jolly alpha, and a low-angst romance that you can digest in an evening.

This was a fun story about two reindeer that meet through a series of misadventures. Milton is a non flying reindeer who is suspicious of everything and works through all the what ifs before making decisions. Dancer is more of a fly by the seat of his pants kind of guy, so of course Milton questions every one of Fate’s moves, but you can’t fight Fate! I loved Dancer’s patience with Milton and his unwavering love. I could easily identify with Milton, and the Christmas magic and there HEA were wonderful!
This was a such a cute Christmas story I adored both main characters so much!
Character breakdown;
Dancer: I didn’t expect for Dancer to be a fun loving sugar cookie type of dude! But I absolutely adored his take on life and the enthusiasm he showed throughout the book.
Milton: I can relate to Milton too much I tend to be the pessimist in everything. But I liked how things changed with dancer for him, I believe the match was near perfection.
Definitely recommend this quick almost insta-love story especially if you love Christmas love stories. 8.5/10 ⭐️
An entertaining story about two reindeer shifters. Dancer is a direct descendent from the original reindeers pulling Santa's sleigh. Dancer is told that all the reindeer pulling sleighs have to go on holiday before Christmas to prevent burn out so he books a fall colour tour of Montana, the state he lives in anyway. Milton works in an elderly care home not far from where Dancer lives but they never met until he books the same tour and they find their flights and cabin are double booked with each other. Their HEA is witty and highly recommended reading.
Booked on his mandatory vacation, cheerful Dancer keeps crossing paths with grumpy Milton whom he eventually ends up sharing a cabin with. When the attraction between them builds to undeniable levels, they quickly discover that opposites attract.
A lovely, grumpy/sunshine read about Christmas wishes coming trues, being supportive of one’s partner and building each other to be the best they be and finding love when you least expect it. An enjoyable read.
This one was a pretty quick read. I have read the books out of order, and didn’t feel lost. I haven’t seen any of the other couples as they have their own Santa. The only thing I didn’t like was we didn’t get to spend time with them in their shifted forms. Both of them are shifters and it would have been fun if they would have spent a little time together while at the cabin.
I am thoroughly enjoying this multi-author series!!! This book is Dancer and Milton's story. I love everything from their meet-cute to their HEA. These two are really sweet, and their story is fun. I would definitely recommend this book if you love shifters but also if you're not sure you love shifters. This book is light on the shifter aspect so maybe a good intro if you're unsure. Great fun either way!
I loved Dancer by Jena Wade. I loved Dancer and Milton's story. I loved how happy and carefree Dancer is and how opposite Milton is. I also loved that Dancer got Santa to do a flyby at Milton's workplace, knowing that one of the residents sits by the window each year hoping to see Santa and his sleigh again.

I like how they spent their vacation together with a Christmas surprise. Even though Milton was cautious, they fell in love. I especially liked the gift given to Gloria.
This is a quick and easy-to-read Christmas romance story. The two main characters are both reindeer shifters. Dancer, is a sunshine alpha, and Milton, is a grumpy omega. Serendipity finds them in forced proximity, sharing a cabin, the one bed, and all that follows. Eventually leading to a baby and HEA.
Dancer and Milton were such a sweet couple. Double-bookings and coincidences forced them to spend time and space together. I loved how Dancer actually enjoyed Milton’s grumpiness. It was a quick read but very satisfying for lovers of mpreg shifter romances. It had no angst, low heat, and an HEA.

Great book about finding love and friendship at the same time. Dancer's forced vacation nets him a mate and family! Things work fast for the grumpy Milton but he is in love so he is where he wants to be with his happily ever after.

How can anyone know in advance who is the alpha and who is the omega? Also, why are Humans aware of it? why humans would be alpha and omega? and why are men alpha and woman omega but the shapeshifter can be both? a bit discriminating from my point of view :) This is the second book of the series, better than the 1st, but I see some inconsistencies also here hence the 2 starts.
