By far the worst thing I have come across in a long while; and I read garbage.
Simply put, pretty much ever character (including the MC) is a dumb ass, narcissist or a psychopath. The fact that they are functioning collection of people that is living in a "civilized" community, is a miracle. Everybody hates everybody; they all want revenge on each other for the most smallest and or for the most dumbest of slights. Even the MC, who is possessing some half dead meat suit of a schlulb.
The jest of the story; the MC is waking up from his comma from his medical procedure and is complaint about the unconformable environment. Oh boy, does his he complain...for like 8 minuets straight; an instant red flag. Reason? he is too rich to be uncomfortable. Usually when a Westerner wakes up in Xianxia, they sometimes inhabit the body of a young master. This guy, was preloaded as a young master in a trash body. By chapter one, everyone is already thinking or planning how to kill off whole families. The first MC's first obstetrical, is by far pretty disturbing. This all goes beyond regular Xianxia cruelty. The guy's grand mother is pretty much wants to kill him in the most brutal method, because she know the MC is possessed and ...that's all the tip of the ice berg. The worse part of it is, the MC thinks he is damn smart and seem to have skill of an exacting situation. "Oh there is a farm? when, even though i was blind and super rich, I know a lot of farming. Oh, there is crafting? well, before I was blind and super rich, I did crafting for 70 years." You get the point. I just stop reading after a very weak, powerless (without any cultivation, less than mortal strength) tries to kill his bully by sending him to bandits. Guess what, he survive and threaten to have his 10 year old sister raped and murdered. Xianxia in stories are usually brutal as they have a messed up version of honor, they lawyer up in sects and live on weird version of Darwinism. Path to immortality is pretty much a joke; is it usually kills 99.99% who tries to achieve immortality or lose all actually freedom once they challenge the heavens. This was not Xianxia. This is some dark messed up Xianxia world and it was not fun to read. Also, the way the author mixes it with the other series...was super weird. It all felt awkward.

not good

I’m used to pretty bad writing in the litrpg genre, but this is too much, I only made it 5 pages.

Here’s an excerpt:

“Another red flag was that the air purifier didn’t seem to work. The intense smell of the unknown thing was choking him to death. It smelled like a burned air purifier emitting black smoke instead of purified air. In college, he had worked as a part-timer in an air purifier company, and he had seen many such cases. Some models busted continuously, and he had to clean their nasty filters up every day. Anyway, it seemed like the hospital had used something similar, and it was nasty.”

Okay. This series seems to be a spin off of the lazy immortal series.

Unfortunately, the main protagonist, Allen Ming is very unlikeable at the start as he seems whiney and is a horrible coward. I am not a big fan of him being isekaied from Earth either as care not at all about his stories and stupid references. Even his cultivation is absolutely undeserved as it is paid for by gifted money!

His new clan seems really horrible. It's sad that even the grandmother of his inherited body dreams about killing him for being possessed..

The first half of the book is rather uneventful and tedious. It would be much more tolerable if it would be shorten down from 200+ pages to 20..

The 2nd half is luckily much better if one can ignore the preposterously fast progress of the protagonist and the extreme make believe that cultivation progress means instant drastically improved fighting skills without any training..

Worthy Read

I love I love the other series by these authors the lazy immortal And I like the interplay between that's in that series And I like the interplay between that series and this one. It doesn't seem to be that you have to have read the lazy immortal in order to understand Path of time So don't worry about that If you're getting into it I don't think it would really matter which order you read these in There is a little spoiler in this book in regards to lazy and mortal but nothing to earth shattering Now this series I think has gotten off to a great start It's intriguing and fun and I'm extremely excited to read the second book and find out Where Alan mings journey is gonna leave Where Alan Ming's journey is gonna leave us Which is exactly what I'm gonna do right now So I hope you give this a shot and and Enjoy

I was going to say the author writes knockoffs of their own series, then I saw the protagonist from the other series show up. Now I understand what is going on.

I wonder if I should have read this after I finished the other series, because it is obvious the protag that showed up from the other series is post book three (what I read up to).

I'm not sure if I want to continue this series or not. Unlike the last series by the author, the protag in this did get powerful quickly (which I liked), and there wasn't too much suffering like the other series.
What I didn't like was that a few things were left unanswered by the end of the book.

We will see how the future goes, maybe I will pick it up.

Undecided

Throughout most of the book, the story felt like one of those really bad online cultivation stories. First, the main character is dislikable and a bit of an A-Hole with only a few redeeming qualities. Also, the storyline borrows some of the worst qualities from the cultivation genre. The only thing that elevated this up to three stars was the fact that the story was well written, and it had a fairly good ending. It’s worth checking out the next-book in the series but if the main character personality still feels like sandpaper, I don’t think I’ll be getting anymore of the series.

Decent first book

It's decent. Characters have good chemistry and emotional depth. It's a bonus to have a couple of scenes from Li Wei. When I was reading the main series, and Li Wei returned with Chen Chi lookalike, I was surprised and felt that I missed reading a book in the series. Now it was giving me necessary context.

So it’s your classic isekai cultivation, but everyone in it is a complete butt. Apart from the women, who appear to have had their brains removed. It’s a pain to hunt down the unfollow button on Kindle, but I’m going to do it.

Very good

I'm a bit slow finishing this book, but I'm really glad I read it. It was quite a bit of fun. If you like cultivation books, then just pick this one up.

Highly recommended.

Story is good so far but the pacing is not great, also (in the audio book version) the narrator for the women's parts uses "señor" instead of senior, even though she's said it correctly in prior chapters. so that's annoying

nope

Not worth my time.
It could have been better. The start was clumsy.

Read at your own risk, or don’t is better.
