“Delicious reading! Sasha Summers writes books brimming with warmth, humor, and the kind of love that lasts a lifetime.” —Cathy Maxwell, New York Times bestselling author

Can best friends become something even better?

Coming home to Honey, Texas, for her aunt’s wedding should be a joyful experience, but Rosemary Hill’s heart is low. She’s lost funding for her bee genomics project and has been betrayed by her trusted mentor. Reuniting with Everett, her best friend, helps take the sting out. Soon, Rosemary is helping Everett plan bee-friendly park events—and getting oddly jealous when he’s pursued by her high school nemesis.

Honey’s most eligible bachelor has a secret—he’s loved Rosemary for as long as he can remember. Everett always hesitated to risk their friendship by asking for more, but at last he’s ready. That is, until Rosemary is offered her dream job. What kind of best friend would ask her to give that up? Or perhaps the butterflies they’re both feeling mean something has changed—in the sweetest possible way…

Honey be Mine by Sasha Summers
Book #3 of the Honey Acres series. Contemporary romance. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series as characters from the prior books are part of the family dynamics. Closed door.
Rosemary Hill returns home to Honey Hills Farm after losing her job because of funding. On top of her job, she is betrayed by her mentor when he uses all her bee genomics research and takes full credit for it himself. She’s supposed to be a genius but she didn’t see either thing happening. Being back home in Honey Acres is exactly what she needs to heal her abused trust.
Everett Taggert is the county parks and recreation director as well as covering for the exiting mayor. He barely has time for anything personal these days and yet, he’s on the front page of the local newspaper as the most eligible bachelor, making his life that much more difficult. As best friends with Rosemary, he’s glad she’s back in town. Though his heart is yearning for more, he commits himself, again and again, to the friend zone, knowing it’s what’s best.
Rosemary is immersed in town events and bee tending, writing a children’s book and reconnecting with family. Is that enough? Or should there be more?

Best friends troupe. Always a winner. They both want more but don’t want to lose what they have. They think they know what the other needs or wants, but do they?
I loved the family support around Rosemary. They are so happy to have her home. And of course, the children are precious. The scene at the convention when the niece proudly shares her copy of her aunt’s book is so darned cute. When the session is over and there is no mention of handing the book back to the child had me ready to email someone. 🤣
I won’t say more to spoil anything, but suffice it to say - awwww. HEA and family for the win.

Ebook and print versions have more than a dozen honey based recipes at the end.

"Honey Be Mine" is book three in the "Honey Acres" series by Sasha Summers. This was a super cute read about long-time friends, Rosemary and Everett. Rosemary is back in town, and Everett is trying to keep their friendship as just that a friendship. He is having a hard time because he has had feelings for "Rosebud" (I absolutely love this nickname) for years. He is also afraid that she will leave town again for a job. There are so many parts of this book that made me smile, but my absolute favorite was the second book that Rosemary wrote. When she was reading it to Everett, it made my face hurt from smiling so much. I enjoyed reading this series by Sasha.

Honey Be Mine is book 3 in the Honey Acres series by Sasha Summers. The third Bee sister, Rosemary is back in Honey, TX much to the delight of her family and the best friend she never knew loved her. Circumstances brought her home, but she begins to realize that maybe this is where she had always belonged and that the advice she gives Everett about setting boundaries and enjoying life may very well be advice she needs to take herself.

The family shines as they support Rosemary and promote their honey business. Rosemary is a beautiful spirit who may have been more lost than she ever realized and it is amazing to watch her decide where she wants to put down roots and cultivate a future.

Good book. Rosemary came home to Texas for her aunt's wedding but is staying to decide about her future. The bee genome project she worked on in California lost its funding and, adding insult to injury, her mentor and team lead claimed her research as his own. She's happy to be home in her family's loving and supportive arms and to spend time with her best friend, Everett.

Everett stayed in Honey and is now the parks and rec director, as well as backup for the mayor. He has also been named the town's most eligible bachelor, further complicating his life. He's happy Rosemary is back but also concerned about keeping his stronger feelings for her a secret.

I enjoyed watching the development of the relationship between Rosemary and Everett. They've always been friends who could tell each other anything. However, Everett has been in love with Rosemary for years but doesn't want to say anything and ruin their friendship. Rosemary always considered Everett her friend, so why did she suddenly notice him as a man? I loved watching them spend time together. Rosemary is determined to help Everett in her new job as an event planner, even if it means dealing with her high school bully, Libby. Everett's support of Rosemary when she encountered her old boss/mentor at the bee convention was outstanding. Unexpected opportunities give Rosemary something to consider, and Everett must decide if he wants to speak up. I liked the ending and seeing them finally talk to each other about their feelings instead of assuming they know what is best for the other person.

There was a side story about a group of paintballers going around and vandalizing towns in the county. For some reason, many people seemed to think it was Everett's job to stop them. I could feel his frustration each time they struck. The resolution was about what I expected.

I loved the part about the alphabet book that Rosemary wrote and illustrated for Bea and Nova. The children's joy in the book was infectious, and Everett's reading was adorable. I would love to see that book published for real.

Amber Recommends: Honey Be Mine, book three in the Honey Acres series by Sasha Summers

What I expected going in:
There is so much to love about Sasha Summer's Bee books and book three was my favorite of the bunch. The setting of Honey Texas is a true escape, surrounded by family, community, and so much Honey!

What I loved:
These books make me want to be a Bee girl, take my sister's to the country and start a business. There are enough beekeeping details sprinkled throughout the book that you do feel as if you could start your own hive, especially by the end of book three in the series. I love learning mixed in with my fiction reading.
I also love the large cast of characters we have picked up by book three. All of the other couples are in and out and around. All the kids from the school and from the previous two books are front and center. It felt like a big family reunion just in time for Rosemary's homecoming. If you don't typically like kids in stories, I challenge you to try one by Sasha Summers (any one, they're all well done). She can win you over, whether it's an adorable toddler or an angst ridden teenager.
The romance between Everett and Rosemary was, as always, perfection. I loved that they already had the friendship from their past built in, which made them feel like a very solid couple once they finally figured out what it seems everyone else knew all along!

What I didn’t love:
Not a single thing.

Final Thoughts:
If you love sweet, friends to lovers romance then you will love Honey Be Mine by Sasha Summers. Check out the whole series and fall in love with Honey, Texas, bees, and the whole entire Hill family!

When I saw this book with the gorgeous yellow on it, i knew I had to read it.
I did a little dance when I received it.
Here's a quote I wanted to share because this author has it right on the nose.
“Life is all about change. And making the best of things.”
A great saying but not so easily done.
I've always felt that change is hard.
Sometimes it's necessary for the good.
I know just how Rosemary feels right about now. Hurt, scared, nervous and sad. Change is scary.
I like the bees in the story too. I learned quite a bit about them which I thought was pretty cool!
I really enjoyed the mystery of the paintball lol. That had me turning the pages to see who did it.
Frankly, I was surprised but then again I really wasn't. I just don't understand why people have to destroy properties especially when it wasn't theirs to begin with. Not worth a cheap thrill.
I did love how everything wrapped up nicely in this story. I stayed up late to finish it because Rosemary and Everett wanted me to.
Loved every minute of it! I kept rooting for them lol.
I'm giving this sweet story 5 stars for keeping me entertained. I highly recommend.
My thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Awesome Friends to Lovers!

Absolutely loved returning to the world of Honey Hill Farms.
Everyone always said Rosemary was bound for great things and Everett wanted to make sure his dreams didn't stop her from achieving them, so he kept himself in the friend zone.
Now she's home and she's still wondering what great thing she's meant to do. All she knows, with the assists from her family, is it's time for her to find herself, her happiness. Conquering anxieties and setting goals she never thought of...at home or does she want the opportunities she believed others expected of her...
Everett still believes he needs to stay back, that being just a friend is his way to help her find her goals,...but what she needs to make him realize is home and his heart are what make her happy.

Love how these two wake up to their feelings, resisting them because they assumed the timing, the emotions weren't reciprocated. While everyone around them are rolling their eyes while being supportive. Sweet heart touching small town friends to lovers!

Can Rosemary and Everett finally admit they are in love?

Rosemary Hill had returned to Honey, Texas for her aunt’s wedding and to figure out what she wanted to do after her research project lost funding when the lead researcher took all the credit. Rosemary is glad to be home because she gets to spend time with her family and her best friend Everett Taggert.

Everett Taggert had been in love with Rosemary forever but would never tell her because he didn’t want to lose her friendship. But everything changed when after the Annual Texas Beekeepers Convention and she was offered her dream job of teaching at Texas A&M University.

There is a small mystery about paintball vandalism that adds to the story.

I loved all of the bee information that was in the story!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Rosemary Hill has returned to Honey, Texas for her aunt's wedding. She is out of a job and not certain what her future holds. He grandfather always told her she was meant for great things and she feels she has not lived up to his vision. Everette has always been her best friend and he has always secretly loved her. Since Rosemary is now home, she needs to decide where she is going next in her career. Everette is trying to stay away as much as possible due to his love for her. Everette offers her a temp job working for him until she decides on what her future holds. Her family wants her to stay in town, but don't want to hold her back in her career. Rosemary is really her happiest in a long time by being home in Honey.
The more time she spends with Everette she is seeing him in a new light and is having feelings for him. When she is offered two opportunities out of town will they finally find their way to each other.

HONEY BE MINE On sale June 25/24

Rosemary has returned from California to her home town of Honey, Texas, because the team she was working on studying bees, has lost its funding. She returns to her loving family of sisters, brother in laws, nieces, nephews and aunts and to her best friend, Everett.

Then she finds out her former team leader, Dr. Voight, has taken all her research work and claimed it as his own.

As much as she loves being home with her family, she feels that the love she feels for Everett is unrealistic as she thinks he just wants to be friends…

When she gets an offer to teach at her former university, she has to decide if she should leave Honey or stay even if Everett only wants to be friends.

Everett, in an effort to let Rosemary ( or Rosebud as he always called her) decide what she wants to do, must downplay is undying love for her.

This checked all my boxes off for romances. I am eager to watch the town and characters grow within the Honey Acres series. I absolutely loved the small town of Honey Texas, and every little event / person that was part of the town. There were quite a few characters and it got a little confusing at parts, but once you went along you could understand who was who. I think if I started the series with the first book, I would have been able to follow who was who more. Grandma Dot was by far my favorite character, and I sadly was able to relate her to my late Grandma which made it even more touching. The end of the book, the author added in so many good recipes with honey in them which I loved!

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book, and all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you Net Galley and Sasha Summers for the ARC copy of this book.

A sweet romance-with an underlying bit of bite. Rosemary is back in town after she lost the funding for her bee study (I love the bees) and she's reconnected with Everett. Not as a romantic partner but as a BFF. But what she doesn't know is that Everett has been in love with her since forever. Yep- a trope of a set up but what a delightful read this becomes especially when Rosemary decides to stand up for herself. Will there be a romance? No spoilers but well, we all know there's smiles ahead. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC. This is good clean fun that will make you smile.

Rosemary has her story this time. She has come back home to Honey Acres to be with her family after being stabbed in the back by a work partner..

While home she and her best friend Everett start spending time together. She and he have been friends since they were little.

When he drops a bomb on her she sees him in a different light.

While drawing and writing books for her nieces and nephews she finds what she likes besides being home with her family! She also finds she has feelings for her best friend..Can they be more than friends?

Another wonderful read in this series!

This is a good book. The two main characters are Rosemary and Everett. They have known each other for all their lives. They secretly loved each other in their teenage years. Rosemary went away to college and moved out west. Several years later she came home. She sees Everett and the mutual attraction is still there. Everett has a part time job for Rosemary. She accepts the job offer. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

Good book. I liked Rosemary and Everett’s story, although I was telling them “just talk to each other!” I’m glad they finally decided that they were the most important thing to each other.

It's cute, and I liked the writing style, but not too much happens. The main couple doesn't get together until the last few pages. I'm impressed the book was so long with so little to read about.
