Rate this book
Welcome to Faerie Apothecary, tucked deep in the woods in the trunk of a tree. As a menagerie of folklore creatures like a selkie, a pixie, and a troll pay visit, the faeries provide remedies for each ailment the visitors face. Readers are introduced to the healing benefits of herbs and plants like Chamomile, St. John’s Wort, Pine, Elder, and more in this charming tale, which lightly weaves knowledge into a story that will enchant both children and adults.

Featuring stunning hand-painted watercolor illustrations by Gaby Verdooren and rhythmic, rhyming text by Andrea Stein ( C is for Coven, Sunday the Sea Witch ) The Faerie Apothecary is a gentle introduction to plant medicine.

The rhymes are a bit uneven, but this is a sweet book about using natural remedies to treat the ailments of a variety of fantastical creatures, from harpies to a kikimora.
