I wish there are examples of real songs to practice along.

Excellent book, offering a systematic and analytical approach while keeping a very understable and practical method. If you want to get a clear help how to arrange your comping in pop/rnb/rock/new age style (focusing especially on ballads, bot not only), get a copy :)
