About the author

Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips was born in Jamaica, but grew up in Canada where he accepted Islam in 1972. He completed a diploma in Arabic and a B.A. from the College of Theology (Usool-ud-Deen) at the Islamic University of Madeenah in 1979. At the University of Riyadh, College of Education, he completed a M.A. in Islamic Theology in 1985 and in the department of Islamic Studies at the University of Wales, U.K. he also completed a Ph.D. in Islamic Theology in 1994. He taught Islamic Education and Arabic in private schools in Riyadh for over ten years and for the past three year he has been lecturing M.Ed. students in the Islamic Studies department of Shariff Kabunsuan Islamic University in Cotabato City, Mindanao, Philippines. Since 1994 he has founded and directed The Islamic Information Center in Dubai, U.A.E. and the Department of Foreign Languages at Dar al Fatah Islamic Press in Sharjah, U.A.E. I absolutely enjoyed this audiobook because it combines simple and clear language, a logical arrangement of topics and adequately referenced facts to produce a convincing yet concise presentation of the truth about Jesus (peace be upon him) and his message. A truly balanced perspective.

I listened to the audiobook edition on Islamic Audiobooks Central. Compared to the print edition which I have read previously, this audiobook version appears to have some revisions as well as some expanded content at the end.

before we define the true message Jesus, we should know who is Jesus according to the scriptures. Bilal Philips let the reader think how to get the authentic resource about Jesus.so, authenticity of the Bible and Quran were tested. i would recommend this book as a guide for those who interested in da'wah.

Buku ini nipis sahaja tapi padat dengan hujah yang bermanfaat. Pada mulanya aku fikir buku ini mesti akan ‘bias’ disebabkan penulis ini adalah seorang muslim tapi aku lupa yang penulis ini juga bekas penganut Kristian. Hujahannya berdasarkan dari ketiga-tiga kitab, taurah, injil dan al-quran. Malah penulis juga lebih banyakkan rujukan dari kitab taurah dan injil, itu yang membuatkan aku tertarik membaca buku ini.

Bagi mereka yang baru berjinak dalam subjek perbandingan agama, aku sarankan membaca buku ini.

If it wasn't just a small booklet, I would have said it was a waste of time. Regarding the matter under discussion, I recommend reading more in-depth books like "Misquoting Jesus" and "What did Jesus really say."

There was a section in the middle where there were some stretches that I felt weren’t necessary considering how many facts there are to prove the points being made. Other than that I highly recommend this book.
