Chloë Thurlow's debut novel, A Girl's Adventure , proclaims the "new erotica"-- writing rooted in memorable characters and strong female leads in charge of their own destiny...her work described by Andrew Kaiser in The New Nude as "enticing, sexy and just plain fun to read."
Being A Late for a vital interview on a sweltering day, casting agent Jean-Luc Cartier pours Milly some water and holds the glass to her lips. When the water soaks her blouse, he instructs her to take it off before putting her over his knee for a spanking. Her resulting orgasm--the first from such an experience--awakens her to the mysteries of discipline, launching her on an erotic journey that takes her from a convent school to a black magic coven in the heart of Cambridge academia and on into the secret world of fetishism and bondage on the dark side of a movie camera.
After uni, I started working in PR and got bored to tears. It was more fun being a waitress and writing in the dark silent hours from 2am to 6. I managed to complete a novel I called "Being A Girl" and fell over in the street after Nexus published it and the editor gave me a bottle of champagne I drank too quickly. Now, here we are, penning away night and day, five novels and three naughty-shorties on the shelf with a study of EL James called "The Fifty Shades of Grey Phenomena" just out.
Warning: This book contains a lot of very sexy, HOT fun!
The action starts early, when Camilla, or Millie, hot-foots it across London from her final school year exams to an interview with a casting agent. She arrives hot, sticky and dishevelled. The agent impresses the importance of discipline upon Milly, who soon finds herself naked and stretched across the interviewer's knee.
To her surprise, she enjoys the experience more than she could ever have imagined, and is taken to sexual heights of arousal that inspire her subsequent life.
Her experiences take her and her younger sister, Binky, to the rough wilderness of the Highlands of Scotland, where they submit to the mercy of a laird and his factor. Then on to the star-studded and obscenely rich town of Cannes for the famous film festival, where they both relish experiences which perhaps could only flow from the pen or keyboard of Chloe Thurlow. I certainly couldn't dream some of these fantasies up on my own, and I can only wonder at the author's creativeness.
There was, however, one scene early on in the book which made me think too much and bugged me all of the way through. The two girls are standing facing each other and Milly recounts, "As I moved my tongue down between Binky's breasts, she did the same to me." I could not, for the life of me, work out how even the greatest contortionists in the history of mankind could achieve such a feat.
Never mind, this is just a small flaw in a hugely entertaining and erotic book, and it may only be down to the limitations of my tiny mind.
I thoroughly recommend this book, and I'll definitely be reading more of Chloe's books in the future.
put simply... a bible of new erotica. sensational! chloe thurlow takes the boundaries formed in first book 'a girls adventure' and pushes them, or should that be caresses them to a point where the reader feels a warm glow of naughtiness as the story unfolds. erotica doesn't get any more satisfying than this. Definitely my favourite Chloe Thurlow book.
Hot Hot Hot!!!! Probably my favourite Chloe novel. I just feel sad that I have to wait for the next one! Thank you Chloe, when I come to London in June, I shall look for the garret in Chelsae :) xx
A girl's education is well explored with this wildly hot page-turner from Thurlow.
Dripping wet and full of sensuality as well-flowing writing should be from a great writer of eroticism. The story of sexy sisters delving into areas of hidden sexuality creates a book of 'ache-all over' sensations from start to finish.
A fabulous ride filled with exciting exploration of bondage and naughtiness will leave most readers gasping for breath.
Certainly not one for the feint-hearted - spilling with teasing pages!
I've found out that this is not the kind of erotica I like to read. Maybe it's the sisters thing that turned me off. I don't like incest between siblings who have grown up together. I would love to see this author write a stepbrother book, though, one in which they meet when the protagonist is a teenager or adult. I'm rating this book on the writing, not the story. This author is a good writer, and I'll check the descriptions of her other books to see if anything appeals to me.
Wow! So steamy I had to open a window. Being a Girl follows Milly on a journey of sexual discovery and the film industry. Hot, saucy yet incredibly well written, Chloe Thurlow does it again with style.
