I dunno about 'ultimate.' More appropriate to say 'various assorted styles of basic home decorating.' Good suggestions of what to ponder when you're about to splash out on making an impression.

30 July 2018: Just had another re-read, and I'm truly impressed as to how this guide stands the test of time. Perhaps 'ultimate' may be more correct than I previously gave credit.
