A solid grasp of Christian doctrine is just as important for the youngest believers as it is for adults. Preschool and elementary school-age children will love learning about the most foundational teachings of the Christian faith in the Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers series. The Trinity teaches the Christian doctrine that there is one God who exists as three persons the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This teaching is important for children to understand because our ideas about God affect every area of our lives. Written in simple but precise language and on a level that small children can understand, the book teaches God-centered theology. Featuring charming illustrations, The Trinity makes for a fun but educational read.

This is a good way to introduce the difficult concept of The Trinity to Pre-K through early elementary grades. My only caution is explaining God as “three persons” as cults use this as an excuse for polytheism. The book follows up with “God is not like anything in this world” but should still be used cautiously. Still, one of the better books out there covering a difficult topic.

I ordered these books to use with my kinder classroom so this is my honest review.

Also read to my niece. Again, good for Christians sharing their faith with their children. Again not sure about the balance of pictures and words, but is definitely clear. Seemed pretty repetitive in content from the gospel book I read, actually.
