They said my presence changed the atmosphere in any room I entered.

According to my mother—it was in my name. According to my twin brother—it was in my soul.

The truth could be found somewhere in between. I led with love in all of my endeavors. I found it softened the most irate of mankind—regardless of the situation, love calmed, turned frowns into smiles, flattered, gave second chances, resulted in less anxiety, and, yes, swelled the hearts of women around the globe.

As co-owner of a popular nightclub in Houston, Texas, I built a reputation as one of the city's most successful and respected entrepreneurs. Nothing rocked my axis—until I saw the most striking woman—a beauty with sienna skin and a pouty mouth enter the double doors.

She was a mystery to my knowledge, but something about her made me follow her every move. Distress and fear were etched across her face as a man at her side clutched her tighter than I liked.

Intervening in situations that didn’t invite me was never my style, but this night, I did, and despite the chaos that grew around me because of it, I couldn't ignore our connection, even though it meant putting myself in danger. Even though it meant putting love to the side for war.

Eros was really good and in some ways I liked it even more than the first book because there was a lot more action and drama. I even thought I'd give it five stars, but I can't because of the whole fight club storyline.

At first it was so interesting, and overall wasn't a bad idea, but I think Amara's obsession with taking back her father's position (which he also won from someone else, mind you) was a bit ridiculous. She acted like the gang was her right or her legacy, as if there'd been several generations of her family in it etc, it really was not that serious.

She was supposed to be a badass character, but that really ruined it for me. And generally I felt like she wasn't trying hard enough to get away from Ezra when he took her, she was all like "well there's nothing I can do but I will still keep fighting you if you try to touch me". Even after meeting Érōs it still took her a long time to do something about her situation.

I did like the romance though, and it's not technically cheating if she didn't agree to Ezra's plan I don't care!!!

Which reminds me, Ezra really was lenient with her (while still being awful and a jerk, trust me I'm not defending him) because okay, he took her, and then he just agreed to let her plan her engagement with another man without a struggle? And he let her go out and spend hours away from him almost every day??? It doesn't add up.

There's a very weak (in my opinion) explanation for this in the story, it doesn't seem like something Ezra would do. It almost felt like the author didn't want to make the book "too" dark, because it was already darker than Ares to start off with.

Now, am I relieved it didn't go all the way dark, particularly when ? Absolutely, I just think it should've been fleshed out more.

And I get that Érōs & Amara would've had a much more difficult time getting to know each other had Ezra been less...tame then, but...yeah. It just felt too convenient.

Another minor issue is that this is the second book in a series, so Árēs would've already been with Nyx, but she's nowhere to be found in this. And if you chose to read this first, and then Árēs's book, you'd find the same to be true for Amara. So while they are set in the same world with some of the same characters, there isn't a concrete timeline that connects the two books.

Still though it was worth the read. It's my second book by this author and I liked it a lot more than the first book I read by her.

First read by this author, and she did not come to play! Although I loved Eres, Eros whew! 😍 These Mitchell twins are the truth, and not to be f'd with! Eros, known as the lover, the calm twin, a God-fearing man, a creative, always able to make people smile and had a heart of gold. Seeing a woman in distress on the arm of the most dangerous man in town disturbed him, but when their eyes connected, he thought, who is this woman? He knew then that she was special and deserved to be protected.

Amara has experienced so much hurt and trauma in her life, that has left her angry, broken and on a mission. In an attempt to take back what she believes was stolen from her father, has put her in another precarious situation. That damn Ezra was the devil personified! 🤬 Walking around invoking fear in everyone in and around Houston, except Eros.

While Amara tries to figure out a way to get out of this situation without her mother being harmed, she has to deal with the monster that is Ezra. However, she is not going to cower to him! He wants her to submit, and she ain't having it! That defiance turns him into more of a beast!

The chemistry between Eros and Amara is instant, they try to stay away from the other, as they both knew the potential consequences. But when the heart is involved, all bets are off.

I didn't know Eros had it in him, to go head-to-head with the devil, to protect the woman he loved. It was sexy as hell too! 😂 Then Amara does the unthinkable, after all Eros put everything on the line to save her! I was pissed for Eros, cause what the hell Amara? 😡 Although I later learned why she did what she did, but damn you couldn't talk to yo man? You had to go about it THAT way, and break his heart? I was certain that this was the end of this love story. But won't he, do it?

Now! Will there be more to this story? Those comments about Jacob near the end, left the door open for more, and I would love that. I really enjoyed this read and will take a look at other reads in Ms. Norris' catalog. 👍👍👍

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was halfway through the book when I noticed that it wasn’t written by Asia Monique. The book was good overall I liked it a lot although the this book was very different from the first and I didn’t like it much. But nonetheless it’s still a pretty high rating for me I just felt like it was missing something.

Loved this!

Eros and Amara were everything.
I went into this story a little blind because I saw some posts on social media about a SNN and Asia Monique collab and was instantly sold. This first book (for me) did not disappoint. There was action, suspense, not only romance but forbidden romance!😍 and it didn't hurt that there was a literal fight for the love of a woman.
Sign. Me. Up!
Truly enjoyed this story and can't wait to read Eries(I think that's the spelling) I'm already half in love with him.

3.7 ⭐️ In order to protect her mother, Amara was forced into a deal with Ezra. Ezra was set on making Amara love and obey him, but she hated his ass too much. The tension and lust between them the night she met Eros was fascinating, particularly because Eros was planning Amara's engagement party. Although normally an in-control guy, Eros seemed to lose it whenever he was with Amara. It was as if, once they were together, the rest of the world faded away. As they spend more and more time together on this party, they can't help but get closer to one another. Mr. Steal Your Girl himself, Eros would battle for the women he loved.

Fighting for Love

My first read from this author and i ain’t mad at it. I feel the book flowed well and the author really gave us a story. Gave me the vibes of like F the patriarchy when it came to Amara. Eros was the silent but deadly storm that is going to protect. Let’s not forget we love a man that has God as the head of their life. Also this book reminds me of Blood & Bone ( that’s a good movie).

Now Amara did get on my nerves a little toward the end but i love that she wanted to honor her father. Let’s be real girl, your father just got what he did to the person before him. Ezra is just as disgusting as some of these humans that want to be labeled as men. It was cute seeing her and Eros love story come alive. Eros is definitely giving BDE in the best way. Really like how his spirit and faith shines through. All the good he does in the city all reflects. The spice was like that. Especially at the club.

Eros was a true king

This book felt a bit too short for me. This was a Forbidden Love/ Cheating trope and tbh I was ok with it. Ezra the villain was trash but honestly, usually his role is one I would root for. The forced marriage is one I love to read. Eros and Amara’s love story was sweet but idk why I didn’t care for Amara. She did the most challenging him when she could’ve done the same by his side. This book although not my fave from Ms Norris still was a fun time. She does excellent with writing the fight/action and romantic intimate scenes in this book!

Eros and Amara were the exact opposite of Ares and Nyx. I think I might have liked them more because I’m a sucker for angst and pining. I haven’t read much from Stephanie but this book definitely makes me want to dive into her catalog. Eros was softer than I was expecting but when he needed to go off he did, I wasn’t expecting that. Amara was so headstrong, she had a chip on her shoulder, rightfully so but I wanted to shake her toward the end. Glad she got herself together. These two just felt right from the first interaction. S/O to Ezra getting everything he deserved!!

Eros was very different from Ares but one thing about this man he did not play about Amara. I loved how they spent time together and started falling for each other. Eros deeply cared for Amara and he would honestly do anything for Amara. The saying “he would give the shirt off his back” reminds me of Eros so much, he was protective in a way that wasn’t overbearing and would have given up anything if it made her happy🥺 Also his unwavering faith in God? Whew.

Good story! The Mitchell twins delivered two unique stories written by different authors. Each author delivered their version of the twins. It was a slight disconnect because you can't tell if or how their stories intersect. Ares definitely showed his lover side, his love for God, his family , and the woman whole won his heart. Amara was strong and conflicted. Waiting for the day to avenge her father's death and nothing was gonna stop her, not even the love of her life.

Pretty decent read, but …

I know Eros and Ares’ books were written by two different authors but the stories didn’t feel cohesive. With this book is the first time I’ve taken notes so that I could actually write a review with my complete thoughts.

I don’t know why, but one thing that irked me about this book was the verbiage used by the author. Sometimes it felt like she was trying for poetic prose or something. There will be spoilers, so here’s your forewarning. This whole book just went left for me and here’s what did it;

The whole idea that Amara thought that she was gonna beat Ezra when he beat her father and had all these years of experience in this underworld while she was in college and just only got into the fighting thing after her father was murdered. As her mother said he had more power that her and if he hit her, which was likely since his reach was longer, she would be done for. Then when Ezra and Eros fight they have weapons when it seems during Amara’s she didn’t, which I think was just dumb!

Nyx, who is Ares’ significant other is never mentioned even at their family dinner, it’s like she doesn’t exist.

Eros taking over this underground gang that runs guns, then in the next chapter sounding like a youth pastor or something.

Amara talking about her family should be running the Iron Fist like they established it and its a legacy or something.

Her dad losing his job at a plant then when money gets tight him and his housekeeping wife decide, yeah, we’ll take our martial skills, where’d they get those from, join this gang then take charge of it so we can take a bigger cut of the pay.

Last, but not least the way Amara takes down the gang is just so cut and dried like it’s just so easy to shut this operation down with, as she said earlier in the book, people in high places with power. Like really, come on

Absolutely Awesomeness

OH WOW! This is a fantastic story! The title gives you a impression of romance and violence and that's what this is and much more. It has vengeance and sexness which will bring a smile to your face plus you may need a fan or two while you read. The characters are awesome and their chemistry burns up the pages. It's full of emotions with a handsome drop your pantyes for hero and a beautiful feisty kick butt heroic woman. I can bet you that you will enjoy this story, especially if you don't mind that every page will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. I enjoy characters like these that always draw me in to see how much their character will grow throughout the story and of course I wasn't disappointed it was just as I expected and much more. This is definitely a captivating story! Again I must say WOW this book is awesome and that I really enjoyed every page its such a great romance with a great dialogue. It's full of intrigue and a fantastic twist with emotional drama. Because of their sizzling hot chemistry it will keep you turning pages after page. The women are strong and the men are willing to protect and help their women feel the love of their life with steamy love. But believe me you will enjoyed every moment of their relationship as I did. I know I'm repeating myself but I can't help it. This is definitely a entertaining interesting storyline that will make you talk to characters out loud. But all the books are by this author is just as awesome, I'm happy I have started binging her books they are intriguing with lots of drama and this is another one I that I couldn't put my reader down until I finished the story. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!!😍❤

I read book one and loved it. The disclaimer said book two would bring the drama. And I was excited. For me, it brought the annoyance. I know they were written by two different authors but it was almost as if Stephanie just used the same character names and settings and nothing more. Eros was reckless as hell. Like bro your father is a mayor that’s up for re-election and you’re just like oh well, I love this woman so let me go start a war. Gun running fight club…I’m gonna just skip right past that because I simply cannot.

Amara was comical and not in a good way. “It’s my father’s position. It deserves to be in our family.” Girl stfu. Your father knew the game he was playing. He did the same exact thing to someone else. What about their family? He knew the rules. He lost his spot and his life. Cry me a river. I had no sympathy for her whatsoever. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. The delusion in this one was strong. She was actually a perfect match for Ezra.

Also if Ares was book one and Eros was two…where was Nyx?? Like dang, she couldn’t even get invited to the family dinner? I get that she had her story with Ares but they’re so big on family yet his twin’s WIFE was never mentioned or even invited to dinner. (Maybe I skipped that part…cuz I did skip a few parts.)

I would’ve preferred that the authors worked on both books together to make the personalities more cohesive instead of writing them individually. I probably wouldn’t read another book written by this author.

Eros…What a Man What a Man!!

Chile…Eros is a mighty good man!!! If you are contemplating reading this book, go on a get it. You won’t be disappointed. Eros brings it! Trust and believe. He is a dedicated, dirty talking, praying, dangerous man! 🥰

Eros meets Amara when she shows up at his club with her fiancé. 🙄🙄 He takes one look at her and is intrigued because he is instantly drawn to her. She is also drawn to him. You see, Amara is a fiancé under duress. She hates Ezra but she is being forced to marry him for her mom’s safety. As Eros and Amara hang out preparing for her engagement party, they become friends. They eventually become more. Amara shares her situation with Eros. She gets the shock of her life when he demands to fight for her freedom. She doesn’t think that he can handle it and she’s afraid to lose another man she loves. Eros will not be deterred. He stands up for his woman but their road to love is still uncertain. Amara has things she needs to handle. Will she push her man away? Did Eros risk it all for naught? I’m not telling y’all. Read the damned book!!

In classic SNN fashion, this book is hella naughty. This woman knows how to get you hooked and caught up! I loved it. 5 blinged out stars!!

Fight For The One You Love!

Eros and Amara met each other at he and his twin brother's Ares' nightclub. She was there with Ezra. He was her fiance, but not by her choice! He basically strong armed her in being with him. If she didn't agree to marry him, he threatened to kill her mother. She was left with no choice. There was a spark between Eros and Amara when they met at his night club. Ezra hired Eros to help plan the engagement party. Eros and Amara spent so much time together planning the party, that they actually fell in love with each other. It would break their hearts each time she had to leave him to return to Ezra. Ezra was the leader of the underground fight club called the Iron Fist. Eros challenged Ezra to a fight so he could claim the leadership position of the Iron Fist. If Eros won, Ezra would have to release his hold on Amara. The winner could kill the loser, or he could spare his life. Needless to say, Eros was the victor! Even though he shouldn't have, Eros spared Ezra's life. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The only part I didn't like, was that Ezra didn't get what he deserved a lot sooner! This book was the total package!! Thank you Stephanie!! ❤🔥

This wasn't bad. I don't think it was as good as Ares. My biggest issues were 1. Why didn't Eros just kill Ezra after he defeated him? I hate the cliché of letting the enemy go after whooping their ass. They always come back for revenge. Just end it the first time.

2. Why wasn't Nyx in this book? I know that Stephanie didn't write her story but this series is a collaborative project between her and Asia. Did she not read Ares's book? Because Nyx was nowhere mentioned or seen. Why do a collaborative project and not integrate all the characters.

3. The suspense. I don't think SNN is a strong suspense and action author. She's a true blue romance lovey dovey author. Nothing wrong with that but because she's not strong in the first category, it made the final showdown read as very lackluster.

4. Why didn't Amara try other methods to get rid of Ezra. The whole time I was reading, I kept thinking, why won't she poison him or something? It just didn't seem to me that she tried hard to save herself and her mom after she lost against him.

Again, this book wasn't bad. I really liked Eros and thought him and Amara were cute but this book isn't as good as Ares and Nyx's imo.

A BATTLE OF THE HEARTS AND THE MIND❤️

This story about Eros Matthews and the Women he unexpectedly falls in love with, is very different from that sweetness and light love story of his twin Brother Ares.
Eros is a man who has a strong belief in the power of prayer and God. He found himself drawing from strength and power in order to win a war of the heart and the mind. Amara found herself in Avery precarious situation when she challenged the viscous Leader of the Iron Fist ,Ezra Black ,to a fight in order to regain the position that once belong to her father. Little did she know that losing that fight would lead her down the dangers Road to the love of her life.

I enjoyed how Eros dealt with the battle of the heart and mind
Of Amara. I admired how he handled the challenges and disappointment he face in pursuit of the women he loved.

I enjoyed this collaboration between these prolific writers. I would have liked to have seen a little more interaction between Eros and his brother. Those twins could easily be a dream come true for any girl 🥰

"EROS" by Stephanie Nicole Norris

My Sentiments:

'Eros' was one pleasing sweet fantastic story that featured both Eros and Amara. We find Eros was a good person with a good heart and had God on his side 'in knowing with God all things are possible.' Now if only he could bring Amara around to this thinking. These two fell in rather fast. Will this be realistic due to the circumstances we find Amara in? Be ready for a story that will have lots of action, drama, twists, entertainment, and suspense as the story moves on and the love that these two have for each other. We find that Amara was not a joke...being able to hold her on with Ezra was quite a piece of work.

By the end of the story, we are given quite an interesting story that will keep one entertained till the very end.

If only it were possible for me to live in this book with Eros! I’d be a better partner than Amara lol.

To say I loved this book was an understatement. At the start I wasn’t that excited about it but as I learned more about Eros and him being a man of God, my heart just melted. This book grew on me like no other.

I loved the first book about Ares, Eros’ twin brother but Eros stole my heart. The only thing that could have made this book better was finding out about Ares’ relationship, which was omitted from this book.

I’ve noted a few of Eros’ prayers and will use. There’s nothing sexier than a praying, handsome black man, that’s also a provider and protector 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾. Eros wasn’t afraid to love his woman and fought for her mentally and physically. Lord hear my prayer!

There’s nothing more to say apart from congratulations to the author. You done your thing and brought Eros to life!

Who doesn't love a Protector.

WHEW! Just when I thought Ares was something serious, here comes Eros. Eros, God of Desire is a very fitting name. He can definitely have a spot on the Book Bae roster. Eros is a nurturing man and fiercely protective of those he cares for. It's safe to say Ezra didn't stand a chance after Eros and Amara first met (as if he had one to begin LOL). Amara is fierce and has experienced her share of heartbreak, loss, and pain. These two share an intense chemistry visible to all with the gift of sight. Only one thing stands in their way, Ezra. Eros may be the kinder of the twins. Yet we saw how quickly things can escalate when you mess with those he cares for. These two had so many variables working against them, but love is a powerful weapon as well.

Romance and Suspense

This book had me on the edge of my seat...lawd hammercy. Before I dive in on the romance and suspense I need to make a request. May I have twin power activated Eros and Ares on a platter because...whew...BDE wrapped up deliciously having a sister looking for them with flashlights in the daytime. They are so swoon worthy. Back to Eros and Amara. From the onset the chemistry was explosive despite the forbidden nature of their meeting. Ezra was the proverbial thorn in the side. While Ezra was powerful he was not more powerful than Eros, a man of love but will go to war with God on his side. This story was both steamy and action filled and I was there for it all. The author owes me nothing. Well done.

Poor Eros

I didn't really like this book, and I absolutely hated Amara from page one, and it never got any better. Every piece of drama in this book was her fault. Her misguided belief that the club belonged to her father was completely unfounded. The same way her father killed his predecessor is the same way he was killed. It's not like Ezra cheated and stole the club from him. After reading Ares, I was prepared for a love story with a little drama. This was over the top terrible, to me. Especially that stunt she pulled at the end of the book as if having a conversation with her man couldn't have solved all the extra drama she felt the need to start. Absolutely hated her. Eros deserves so much more.

Good Read 📚 👍🏾 ❣️

Eros was everything. Amara was loving but had communication issues that derailed them for some time. I certainly didn't like how the organization was dealt with as there were members who wanted to do the right thing abd go legit to help keep their lives moving forward....it wasn't handled well IMO. Amara being emotionally unstable and making major life decisions caused chaos throughout the book. Their chemistry was undeniable but I never got the sense Eros got to the center of who Amara really was and so I found their relationship too one sided. The author is phenomenal as I've read her other works, this book felt incomplete and rushed. There were enough elements to make it a good read 📚 👍🏾 but it had the potential to be so much more.

Wow!

A man that puts his all into his being. Stephanie Nicole Norris never disappoints. This well written book was exciting, flowed well and definitely kept my attention. Eros love for God was present in everything that he did. Love and war was definitely into play. He first encountered Amara when she entered his club to plan an engagement party for her and her so called fiancé, Ezra. He was enamored by her in the very beginning. Many things were into play, but he decided to fight Ezra so that he could have Amara. Things took on a lot of issues afterwards , but in the end, love did prevail. This book was everything and then some. Kudos to Ms. Norris.

Exciting

Eros and Amara love story is full of excitement, suspense, action a real page turner
Eros was no joke, he loved Amara with a fierceness and was willing and did go to war for her
Seeing his brother Ares step up and have his back as usual brought additional energy to the storyline
It is worth the five stars and more
Amara was a badass and willing to do what she had to survive and protect her family
She and Eros were “hot” together and deserved their HEA
Great job Stephanie
You and Asia Monique pulled it off with this join collaboration, Ares was an awesome read too
I highly recommend both books

I wanted more, but yet I’m still satisfied

I thought Ares was my man, but nope, it’s definitely Eros. The way he loved on Amara and stepped in to protect her was everything. His positive outlook and unwavering faith in God was admirable. Amara was determined to avenge her father’s death, and she was willing to risk her life and her love to do it. Whew. It was a lot. Ezra was a complete psychopath and I’m glad he got what he got because I was nervous for minute. The only thing I think was missing was a small cameo from my girl Nyx. I’m sure her star gazing persona could’ve lighten them mood.
