About the author

Philippe Dupasquier is an author and illustrator of children’s books. He attended art school in Lyon, France, after which he became a freelance illustrator in London, England.

For his illustrations in Bill's New Frock, he received the Smarties Prize (1989) and the Carnegie Medal commendation (1989) from the British Library Association, and the Oak Tree Award (1990), from Nottinghamshire Libraries.

Look for other books by this illustrator, he's great. It doesn't matter what the text is when the drawings give so much content.

A day at the airport. Passes quickly over private planes, jetplanes, loading baggage, fueling up, and the various people at an airport. Good, detailed pictures.

My two-year-old loves this, but it's also appropriate for a young reader (first or second grade).
