My Rating: ★★★★
What can I say about this story other than I love it...a lot. The passion and the intrigue kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were multidimensional and exceptionally well done. You didn't know whether to smack or kiss Anton at times. And Marci was just so loveable that you just wanted to hug her. I enjoyed how the story was an easy read but was full of unexpected twists and turns. Ms. Leo definitely has another winner with Predator's Refuge!

VERY GOOD: The characteristics of a 4 star book include: a great story; I loved the characters; and there was an interesting plot and unique story elements; there may have been a few odd things kept the story from being amazing. I would read it again and I would recommend it to a friend.I am such a fan of Rosanna Leo's Gemini Island Shifters series. Both of the stories before Predator's Refuge were engaging, fun, and very sexy. And happily, Predator's Refuge fits right in with the series. I love that we get to see Marci's evolution over three books. She goes from a geeky and shy mouse to a gorgeous and confident bombshell. And she needs all that new found confidence when she meets Anton Gaspar. Anton is from a very long line of royal Hungarian tigers. He's a prince and his misogyny is quite apparent when he meets Marci. But, as fate would have it, the two are inexplicably drawn to one another. As Marci and Anton get to know one another, they come to respect each other in ways they would have never expected. Circumstances throw them together when a sinister force comes to the island. In spite of the circumstances, their desire grows and their passion combusts in a night of ultimate pleasure. When Marci becomes the next victim in an evil plot, Anton must decide where his loyalty lies...in his present with her or his past.

When I saw what this book was about I was so excited! I have loved Marci since #1 in The Gemini Island series. She's grown it to quite the sexy, smart, funny lynx! We have watched her grow from a shy young woman to a OMG woman! I loved it!
In this story Marci meets a OMG tiger who has her lynx shaking her booty! Anton is a PRINCE Tiger!! He's from such a messed up family! So messed up he let them to go to a monastery! Then he takes a job on Gemini Island working with the young shifters and when he sees Marci everything STOPS!! It does also for Marci but, she's in charge while Ryland is on vacation with his mate but, no matter how much she tries to fight it she just can't get the oh so sexy tiger out of her head!
In this book shifters are being attacked! Who's doing it? Why? You MUST READ to find out why!
As with all of Leo's books this one is funny, oh so sexy, and warms your heart! This book is for all who love the paranormal romance with YUMMINESS!

Gemini Island….A safe haven for shifters. They’re free to be themselves and find their way. Have a little fun.
Anton has come to Gemini Island to start over. He’s royalty but has no plans to claim the throne. In fact, he would rather it all went away.
Marci has worked at Ursa Lodge for years. She’s always been awkward and she’s a late bloomer. She’s finally come into her lynx and she’s been trusted to run the lodge.
The problem? Marci’s lynx is in heat and wants Anton. Anton however won’t give in to Marci. He’s afraid to. He wants her, oh how he wants her, but he won’t do it!
New problem? Someone is attacking the shifters on the island, including Marci.
I love Marci’s lynx! That is one wild cat. She knows what she wants and will do anything to get it. Now she just has to get Anton to agree.
The chemistry between Anton and Marci leapt off the pages. They were so hot together. I found myself wanting to take a 2x4 to Anton! He was so stubborn! What is up with these stubborn men! But, once he gave in, it was HOT HOT HOT!
The mystery of the attacks on the shifters added a layer to the story and gave us some tension. The tension added to the story. It gave Anton the push he needed. The tension of the attacks didn’t over power the story of Marci and Anton, it enhanced it.
I’m loving this series. I’m looking forward to another story from Rosanna Leo. She just needs to write faster!

Book 3 in the Gemini Island Shifter Series and this time we get Marci's Story, a Lynx Shifter currently on heat!
The resort is getting a new employee, enter Anton a Prince trying to escape his family and title. His a Tiger shifter, but in human form his just the total Alpha Male package!
We all know they'll get together eventually but before that there's some severe sexual tension, especially for poor Marci who's on heat. To make things worse she's in charge of the resort, while trying to control her inner feline and deal with how she feels for Anton. It's a good job she's a strong character!
If that wasn't enough of course there's some more drama thrown in, we can't have an easy flowing romance, we need some angst and tension, which we all love.
I have to mention sex, yes it's hot and lots of it, just the right amount for a shifter romance book, shifters are passionate creatures!
I enjoyed this book and stayed up until 2 am to finish it!
Another great read from Rosanna Leo, I'm awarding this book 4.5 strong vampy and racey stars.

I love shifter books. Well-written shifter books, and Rosanna Leo's Gemini Island Shifters series is one of my go-to reads.
Predator's Ridge hits all my buzzers and bells. Spunky heroine in lynx shifter Marci. Hunky hero in tiger shifter Anton. And an evil shifter villain wanting to hurt them both. The romance and sex between Marci and Anton is HAWT and their happy ever after is well deserved and satisfying.
I can't wait for the next book in this series!

What can I say? I love Gemini Island Shifters! I fell in love with Rosanna Leo's BearShifters in her first two books in this series (if you haven't read them you really MUST) and now she presents me with a damaged TigerShifter with an accent who is royalty..how can a girl resist!!!
In the first two books of the series we met Marci, a young LynxShifter who was sweet, fun and a bit daring. Her play for Soren in book 2 didn't work out and she found herself in an embarrassing situation but she put that behind her and focused on doing her best to succeed at the Ursa Lodge. I loved Marci she was the definite ingenue of the Island. In this story Marci became a fully dimensional character, we learned more about her feelings and why she worked so hard. I connected with her character and was completely there when she was feeling frustrated, angry and humiliated. It was wonderful to watch her attraction grow from physical lust to deeper and more meaningful love as she interacted with Anton.
Anton our TigerShifter was damaged as a child and I just adore damaged heroes. He chose to escape his past and the feelings it brought out in him by removing himself from his past behaviours and now geographically to Gemini Island. It was truly refreshing to find a big dominate alpha hero with insecurities and who over thought everything. We often see this in our heroines but not our heroes. The great thing is that these thoughts and feelings did not take away from his masculinity and "alphaness". Connecting with Anton and getting to understand him throughout the novel was a journey and when we reached the conclusion the reader just could do nothing but feel overjoyed that he found what he needed to be at peace with himself and happy with his life.
The plot moved along at a rapid rate and that made this a fast and enjoyable read. The intrigue, twists and turns of the plot brought a new dimension to this series. I loved that there was more suspense and that the whodunit aspect became more mysterious.
I love Rosanna Leo's writing style it is fun and easy to read but it is even more fun as I follow this series seeing her grow and become more adventurous. Kudo's my friend for another wonderful story and I can't wait until the next Gemini Island Shifter novel!
4.5 stars for this fun, refreshing, immersing read! If you haven't met the Shifters of Gemini Island I recommend you run out and get them now. One of the best shifter series to step into the market in a long time. Predator's Refuge could be read as a standalone but the Snow brothers are well worth the investment. Don't miss out!

This is it the final installment of our favorite storyline Gemini Island and Shifters Predator’s Refuse by Rosanna Leo (for now). Now before you get your hopes up there is no Ryland or Soren to drool over, this one is about our lovely Marci.
Remember her?
Marci was the lovely girl in Predator’s kiss that worked at the front counter who had braces and was going through her awkward teenage years being a half-breed. Half shifter half human.
Nothing?
Ok how about the hot girl, a shifter Lynx that Soren couldn’t even recognize and wanted to bed as soon as he arrived at Ursa Fishing Lodge in Northern Ontario before he meet his lovely mate in Predator’s Serenade.
Marci has grown up to be a lovely woman but unfortunately her shifter side rules her hormones and wants her to jump any available male within rage, but Marci doesn’t want to be that girl. Deep down she wants love and romance and everything most girl wants. But what happens when Anton Gaspar appears?
She is immediately attracted to him and her lynx drives her mad every time he is close to her. If you’ve read Rosanna Leo’s other two-shifter books you know that the attraction is not something that the shifters can fight no matter how hard they try, especially if they meet their mate.
Throughout the story we see Marci’s personality, her thoughts and feelings and we really get to know her better than the girl that made a pass a Soren only to crash and burn. We see the interaction between them and her lust for his physical appearance grown into something more and less fleeting.
But Rosanna never just give us fluff and flowers, she makes it interesting by adding a past to the mysterious Anton, a past that can come and bit him and anyone close to him in the ass.

A beautifully written paranormal romance, matching an aristocratic tiger-shifter with a feisty lynx in an exotic location. I love big cat shifters and this story delivered what I enjoy in shifter stories, smexiness loaded with suspense.
This author uses words to great effect, painting pictures that are almost cinematic and transporting you to locations, making you a front row audience as the scenes unfold. The characters are immensely likeable and well developed. There were moments that made me laugh out loud and moments where I wanted to smack a character in the head. There were moments that were sexy hot and moments that were heart-warming.
All in all, a great story and I recommend this book easily. If you love paranormal romance or romantic suspense, then you will love this book.

If you have not read any of Rosanna's series then DO SO NOW !!! Hot guys, strong heroines, actual good story line !!!!
I have enjoyed EVERY single book in this particular series and secretly, I have been waiting Marci's book in particular.
I always had a soft spot for her and Anton as our leading male in her story was a REAL WOW for me. Huba, huba girlies - gorgeous alpha hunk!!
I carn't wait for book 4.
Seriously people try this series and her others - the Greek God series and the Orkney Selkies well done again Rosanna xx ;0)

Loved Marcie in the previous book. Felt so bad for her when she tried to seduce Rileys brother and got a bit mad t her till I understood what was happening to her. Anton I felt so bad for the miserable childhood he had. What a family he had. I was really in suspense who was doing the attacks until three fourth of the book then I figured it had to be Gabi ,Anton's brother. Great series keep them coming.

Rosanna has done it again! I was excited to revisit Gemini Island again with Marci and Anton. This story had nice buildup and development with the characters. Also loved the suspense surrounding the plot. I was on the edge of my seat guessing the entire time and it was not what I expected so kudos to the author for that.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable PNR!

Rosanna Leo's books rarely disappoint, and such is very true of this third addition to her Gemini Island Shifters series. This time we get Marci's story, a woman that we've met in the previous books, though she had yet to come into her own then. In this one she's all grown up though and finally starting to realize her potential. The choices she ends up making, however, are a bit surprising, not only to the reader but to Marci herself.
In the previous books we saw Marci as an awkward young shifter woman who was desperate for approval and desperate to prove herself capable not only of doing her job but of doing more besides. She had yet to truly find the self-confidence she needed to succeed. Much of that has changed by the beginning of this book, for while she still has plenty of insecurities, she's finally begun to truly find herself and is far more confident and self-assured than she has been in the previous books. She has started to assert her independence and to pursue her ambitions with even more determination than ever. It hasn't come without a price, however, and that price has been the over-repression of her Lynx, particularly as regards her sexuality and need to get down and dirty with someone. Thus, though she's on the verge of achieving the position she's been coveting for some time, that of Assistant Manager at the Ursa Lodge, she's also on the verge of a complete breakdown caused by her self-denial. Anton is the heir to a "throne" in Hungary, though it's a position he wants no part of, primarily because of his depraved family and their history of violent despotism. He has spent the last two years at a monastery hoping to find peace and to distance himself from his family, and it's worked to a certain degree. He accepts a mentor position at the Ursa Lodge to try to make a fresh start with his life, and to try to do some good in the world to hopefully counteract the evil his family has perpetrated for far too long. Little goes as planned for him, however, as his resolve is first challenged by the intense attraction he feels for Marci upon first meeting her, and later by his past catching up to him. It isn't long before he has some several choices he must make, and while some are relatively easy, others aren't, and his choices in the end aren't really what you'd expect.
The story moved along fairly quickly in this one, though certainly not at the expense of characterization. Even with the characters that we already knew from previous books, Ms. Leo gave them further life and depth, showing us new facets to their personalities, as well as demonstrating some of the ways they too have changed in the last...however long it's been since we first met them (the timeline here is a tad vague, though it's entirely possible I just missed some of the references to how much time has elapsed over the series). Though there's certainly plenty going on plot-wise with events on the island and elsewhere, the focus remains on the characters and how they deal with their internal problems, interpersonal conflicts, and the events going on around them. This attention to detail when it comes to her characters' thoughts, mannerisms, actions, and words as she constructs their personalities for us is one of the things I most admire in Ms. Leo's writing.
Overall I thought this book a very fitting addition to the series as it definitely preserves the atmosphere and tone of the previous books. It helps to bring Gemini Island and the people who live and work there into more vibrant focus as we see yet again that even though they do a lot of good for the shifter community, it's still no utopia and the problems of the outside world are never very far away. It's easy to see how the series is maturing along with its characters in the way that we get to see more of the grit and imperfections of life on Gemini than we have before. We're also taken to some much darker places in this book, darker perhaps than I've seen in any of Ms. Leo's previous works (those I've read anyway...I am admittedly not fully up to date with all her works) and though I cherish her normal lighthearted, sassy style of writing I'm also pleased to see how she's continuing to mature as an author and take on darker topics and integrate them into her stories in a way that is still uniquely her style.
For all that I thoroughly enjoyed Marci and Anton and the rest of the cast here, it still wasn't fully a five star read for me. While I felt that the conflict resolution here seemed much more appropriate and satisfying than has been the case at times, still I felt that certain aspects got slightly simplified. There was no last minute twist to lift this from the realm of "this is really good" into "wow!" like there was with the previous book, and it wasn't all that difficult to figure out whodunit well before the final reveal and showdown. Still, the excellent characterization and storytelling deserves a solid 4½ stars and a definite recommendation.
In the previous books we saw Marci as an awkward young shifter woman who was desperate for approval and desperate to prove herself capable not only of doing her job but of doing more besides. She had yet to truly find the self-confidence she needed to succeed. Marci Lennox is a Lynx shifter with a serious problem. Her Lynx is in the mood to mate and is getting pretty fiesty about it, while Marci just wants to do her job at Ursa Fishing Lodge and Resort the best she can. That does not mean thinking any new unattached male is a possible mate and that she should try them out. When Marci is given the chance to become the assistant manager at the lodge if she runs it successfully while her boss is on vacation, Marci is more than up for the job. That is until she meets the sexy new hire.
Anton Gaspar, a tiger shifter, is hoping to start a new life far away from his homeland and family responsibilities. The new job doesn’t start off well when Anton mistakes Marci for just a worker and not his temporary boss when he arrives at the Ursa. Tensions are really high as Marci and Anton finally put all the clues together and discover just what a twisted mind is behind the attacks. But have they discovered the answer fast enough to keep everyone safe?
Love found at a hunting lodge is not the only thing that keeps Marci and Anton sparking in Predator’s Refuge. I knew that Marci was in a difficult position in her life after the last book in this series. I really liked how hard Marci fought her inner Lynx to try and keep her heat from affecting those around her. To me it showed just how strong and principled a woman she was, but I also loved that she knew when to accept what she felt between her and Anton. Anton’s past horrified me as I learned all he had gone through during his life to try and protect people weaker than him. Watching as Marci and Anton battled to keep those at the lodge safe and discover just who was behind the attacks showed me that this is one powerful couple. Now that I know what their future is going to be, this combined strength will be a help as they go forward. Marci and Anton’s lives were totally changed just as they discovered each other and their love. Predator’s Refuge is fully of suspense and smoldering passions that explode in more than one way by the time the final page is turned. A great continuation of a series I am coming to love.

PREDATOR'S REFUGE is the story of Anton and Marci, and I'll just add that I think it is the sexiest so far in the Gemini Island Series. Marci, the awkward lynx shifter that we briefly met in the previous Gemini Island books, has a bigger role on the island now. She's coming into her own and trying to deal with her late blooming lynx. Poor thing. I felt her struggles with this lynx in need.
Anton, a tiger shifter in all his male glory, emerges onto Gemini Island as a new employee with a bang. He has a very masculine attitude (and the body of a God, I might add), tinged with the pain of his past that draws Marci's maturing lynx to him the instant she lays her eyes on him, and the scent of Marci's lynx just about drives Anton and his tiger mad with desire.
If you enjoy shifter books, you must pick up some of Ms. Leo's work to read. You won't be able to put them down. I always set aside a whole day to read when I've got one of Ms. Leo's books because I know when I open it up, I'm not going to be able to put it down. No distractions. No chores. Just me and her wonderful characters taking a trip into Ms. Leo's imagination. It doesn't get much better than that.
This is the 6th book I've read by Ms. Leo and I just love her writing style. Do yourself a favor and pick this magical book up. I highly recommend it.

Predator’s Refuge by Rosanna Leo is the third installment to the Gemini Island Shifter series. Her we have a Lynx shifter Marci she is fiercely independent. She wants to be in complete control of everything even her animal, though that is not always possible. Her Lynx wants out and sometimes she slips the leash Marci has on her control.
Anton- Prince by birth, but has been so abused by his family that I was shocked at his depth of kindness and understanding he was able to retain after that. What would have broke most make this man stronger and kinder. I really adored him. Strong, proud, and passionate. Perfect combination.
He is not looking for love when he comes to Gemini Island he is looking for a refuge from life in general. What he gets though is what he needs Marci. She is a ball of trouble he cannot stop wanting more of. Together they learn sometimes letting go of control is the best thing anyone can do.
I liked how this story also weaves in characters we know from the previous books, while continuing a story I cannot get enough of. You really do need to read this series in order, but you will love it, all the books so far are really well done and keepers.
The love, and understanding couple with the heat and passion really made this book outstanding. For me this one is my favorite so far. I loved the total arc of this story and how well everything was incorporated. I cannot wait for more from this series and I am so glad I have been introduced to Ms Leo’s work. I will be looking for more in the future.

I was given this book, the third in Rosanna's Gemini Island Shifters series to read in return for an honest review.
I have not read either of the two prevoius books, but that made no difference to the reading of this one
I will however, have to read the first two books, as this is a really great story.
I've read Rosanna's Selkie books and loved them, and once again she doesn't fail to entertain.
The only down I can find is , the cover just doesnt do Anton justice!
This is an entertaining tale of Shifters, running a camp on Gemini Island to educate and help out young shifters,
and while doing so, we get the stories of their Happy Ever After.
Rosanna has developed a world of shapeshifters of all sorts imaginable, living, learning and loving together.
Anton is delicious, and despite all he has been through in his disfunctional upbringing, he remains an honest,
careing and loving person. He knows from his first meeting with Marci that she will be his, and although
she feels the pull as well, she tries to deny it, because she feels getting involved will intrude on her job
she has been entrusted with. marcie is a sweet character, and I want to go back and read a bit more about her background.
Great stand alone book, and I dont feel any loss for not having read the previous books.

Predator's Refuge (Gemini Island Shifters #3)
SO- What do you get when you take a lynx in heat, a beautiful resort where you can let your fur down, some danger and combine it with a smexy as sin Tiger? A tale that will pull you in and keep you hooked, (line and sinker).
Rosanna Leo develops her vivid world in a vibrant manner once again.
I found myself lost in a world that she creates for us. For a while I was amongst the characters and I was able to escape reality for a few hours.
The characters, Marci and Anton were well put together and developed in a manner that makes them seem real and believable. If you read the other two books in the series you can really see how Marci has grown and develop, and come into her own. I really enjoyed the secondary characters as well especially Charlotte and Bart.
The story never lagged. It was a solidly developed storyline, leading you further into the series that kept me wholly captivated throughout.
Side note, I also loved the cover (just had to add that tidbit).

Ohhhhh....Siberian Tiger man is so freaking sexy....I am partial to cat shifters and big-cat shifters just make me shiver all over.
Marci & Anton are super sexy together, once they both get their heads out of the asses and start sniffing each others....;D
This was a fun introduction to a new character that helped to add to a few characters that I can't wait to learn more about. So, Anton is royalty, a prince running from his sadistic family. He has been on the run for a few years and after hiding out in a monastery for a few years he has finally come to Gemini Island as an instructor. While Ryland and Lia are on a much deserved honeymoon, Ryland has left Marci in charge and asked her to make the new guy feel welcome. Of course Marci's Lynx has the hots for the sexy Tiger from the get go. But, Marci is trying to keep things professional as Ryland has practically promised her the assistant managers job if everything runs smoothly during her watch.
Since when do things run smoothly in shifter world....Anton has some baggage of his own and it seems to have followed him to the island.
This was a fun story and the sexy times are lip smacking delish.

I am so I love with the Gemini Shifters! We were first introduced to Marci in book 1, as a young, shy girl. It was nice to see her grow in book 2 to become a confident, strong woman in book 3, Predator's Refuge. Marci Lennox finally has the chance to show her boss that she has the potential to run a shifter-centred resort when he goes on vacation. Unfortunately, she doesn't count on a hot tiger shifter, Anton, to join the staff... whom her inner lynx particularly likes even though Marci is infuriated by his sexist views on women. When danger threatens the lodge, however, it will take both of them to make sure that no more blood is spilt.
I loved the chemistry between Marci and Anton: even while their outer selves argued, it was fun to watch them struggle with their attraction for one another and their pride. The Canadian references struck home for me, as I live in Ontario and could relate easily... even though I'm not a shifter. I haven't read the others in the series (yet), but you don't need to. I look forward to pursuing this series, rawr.

I really enjoyed this book, Marci really came into her own as the star of the book and I loved Anton as well! There was definitely some really explosive chemistry between the two of them! I wasn't quite expecting the villain to be who they were so that was a bit of a twist at the end but I'm happy for Marci and Anton though I hope they'll return permanently to Gemini Island at some point. I do understand Anton having to return to his homeland and Marci needing to go with him but I'm sure Ryland and everyone will really miss her and I wonder who'll get her position now cause I doubt Ryland would trust his brother long term in Marci's role! Though it would be amusing to see him try! Lol! Can't wait for the next book in this series!

I really enjoy this series. Rosanna has a way of making you feel close to the characters. Marci is perfectly ambitious and in heat. It makes her more focused on helping Ryland out while he is on his honeymoon. Anton. Wow. Hot. Mysterious. A bit damaged. But was able to keep his soul through a painful past. The mystery of who was attacking women was well done. I was able to predict whodunit before the reveal but it was not too early for it to ruin the story. The sex scenes... Hot damn. Each book they just get better and better. Anton and Marci have a lot of fun. ;). I would loved to have visited an bit more with Ryland but that is just a personal preference. Fabulous story. Keep it up, Rosanna!

Another wonderful read. This story is Marci's who Ryland left her in charge while him and Lia went to their honeymoon. Anton, a royal prince in Hungary left his home to work for Ryland. Anton had a troubled past. Seeing him and Marci getting to know each other with other employees and her friends involved was fun to see. This book was full of mystery and doubts but in the end, it all worked out and Marci found what she needed to do and that is standing beside her tiger and rule the tribe in Budapest. And Anton finally accepted his role and responsibilities and live happily ever after with his kitten, Marci.

Another incredible book written by shift extraordinaire, Rosanna Leo. I have been hooked on this series since the very first book, and I was so excited to see that Marci finally got her very own story! The lovely lady lynx finds her mate in handsome, damaged tiger shifter, Anton.

Loved loved loved this book. IMHO it was the best so far in this series, hands down. Marci was adorable and sweet without being annoyingly innocent and Anton was tall dark and hot! Phew, tiger shifters... gimmie more of that, please! There was also a really good mystery weaved into the story that left this reader guessing. There were a few times I had to stop myself from peeking at the end to see who done it.
Definitely highly recommended to anyone who like shifter books!

Marcy has grown throughout the series, and she finally gets her own book. Everything she ever wanted was on Predator Island, but her mate comes from a different world. The poor girl's torn between long held ambition and love.Not that she wants to mix with European royalty, but fate takes a hand.
I was unsure about buying this, as I loved Rosanna's bear shifters. I shouldn't have worried. It hooked me in from the first page.. I can't recommend this book enough.

After reading this book I have officially switched from Team Bear Shifter to Team Tiger. Purrrr! I really enjoyed getting to see Marci finally come into her own, and her broken tiger was the perfect mate for the sexy lynx.
It's a great read, with enough twists, turns and chemistry to keep you turning the pages until the very end.

Another brilliant book by Rosanna I loved the by play between the characters, I'm now awaiting the Charlotte/Bart story as you can't leave us hanging Rosanna!!

i love this one. i love the tension between them. and how they work thru it. There other half's were so funny. U couldn't put it down. can't wait to keep reading more from this author she had one of my top authors to read .
