Santa Claus calls upon Albert and his Pleasant Valley pit stop crew to aid him in his midnight ride around the world, and as the clock ticks away, the gang mends, feeds, and squeegees the reindeer and sleigh, until it is all systems go.
It was cute, the pictures were good, but over all average satisfaction with the story. It's hard to figure out exactly why, but something felt lacking. It wasn't bad, but I'm not likely to reread it and it wouldn't be at the top of my list of recommendations.
This is an entertaining story that combines the excitement of a NASCAR pit stop with Christmas Eve fun. I had no idea what this story was about when I borrowed it from the library and as I am not a car racing fan, I'm not sure I would've borrowed it if I had known. Still, it's an entertaining tale with bold, colorful illustrations and a fun rhyming narrative. We enjoyed reading this book together.
