My Life As a Bystander: For Better or Worse And Everything in Between
Jeff Allen says, "Some days all we want to do is butter our waffle. But life doesn’t always cooperate." My Life as a Bystander is about these kind of days. Jeff also adds, "It’s also about trying to decode the secret code of women. It’s about grandparents who buy your three-year-old a BB gun. And it’s about arguments over cheese." Sound familiar? As one who has been married for over two decades and has raised sons, Jeff feels he has something to say on the subject. As a comedian, it’s usually something funny. And it is always interesting, maybe even a little profound.

This book is hilarious stories from the life of Jeff Allen, who is a professional comedian. Jeff Allen is actually coming to my husband's and my church in a couple weeks to do a show, and we happened to find this book on the shelf of a bookstore we were in shortly before Christmas, so now we're both excited about him coming. This is definitely the best and funniest book I've read in a while. I highly recommend it!

Jeff Allen is one of my favorite comedians. He's not *quite* as good on paper as he is on TV, but I was laughing pretty hard at times. Jeff also has some good moments that have you thinking between chuckles. I found it an enjoyable book!
