She was the epitome of forbidden fruit. And I wanted a taste.
Liam Being the oldest Ravage brother means I’ve always been the fixer, handling everyone else’s mess. But the one problem I can’t solve? Keeping my hands off Zoe, my best friend’s daughter. Hidden away in my remote cabin, writing is my escape until duty thrusts her into my life. Over the years, Zoe evolves into a tempting taboo–the one person I crave but can never claim, despite what she tells me about her… inclinations. I vowed protection at any cost–even if it’s from myself.
Zoe Orphaned and thrust into adulthood, I bury myself in school work and keep my eyes trained on the prize. Now, with law school and an uncertain future looming, I’m used to doing everything myself and pushing back against Liam’s stoic, overprotective resolve. Until I learn that the vanilla, cinnamon roll of a man I’ve known my whole life isn’t so vanilla after all. Now, instead of infuriating me, his strict, commanding presence sends shivers down my spine. I soon realize his resistance was never about denying desire for him–it was about fulfilling a different kind of hunger.
Ward Willing is a full-length, age gap, guardian/ward billionaire romance with BDSM themes. It is book three in the Ravaged Castle series. All books can be read as standalones.
Warning: This book contains an overprotective/possessive hero, explicit sexual situations, and strong language. There is a HEA.
When Zoe Arma’s parents are kìlled in a freak accident, she’s left in the care of their best friend, Liam Ravage.
For years they’ve both struggled with the grief, trudging along in the best ways they can. Neither expected to bond over their shared grief nor did they expect for the caretaker role to transform as Zoe grew older.
There was nothing easy about Liam and Zoe’s relationship. While it was hard to watch him struggle with his feelings and the, perceived, wrongness of it, I appreciated that he wasn’t driven solely on emotions or passion. He truly only ever wanted the best for her.
I really loved these two, especially with Zoe as the aggressor. I think they might be my favorite Ravages so far!

A great smutty read! Would totally recommend if you're into taboo/forbidden romance🥰
safety squad: - guardian x ward - age gap (20/21 years) - dad's best friend - BDSM (dom x sub) - no OW drama/cheating/sharing - minor OM drama (h was casually but not exclusively dating OM + was with other people while learning about BDSM after losing her virginity to H a year before the story takes place. H was celibate for a year after sleeping with the h - possibly even longer) - third act breakup-ish scene/low angst - HEA with marriage + a baby
4⭐️ I absolutely looove these books!!!! I love age gaps where the fmc is mature, confident, and knows what she wants. Zoe is the one in this who’s in the b d s m lifestyle and Liam is the inexperienced one. The tension is top tier!!!!!
This should be my sign to stop trusting recs from Instagram 💀.
The fact that there was a big smut scene 7% into the book (considering this is around 400 pages long), and that their dynamic didn't really do it for me- I'm going to go ahead and stop there 😭.
I was so excited bc of the tropes- but I could just tell that the back and forth in this one would be crazy 🏃♀️.
This was horrible. Not only were they 18 and 39 when he took her virginity against a wall. But when she admits she (a then minor) had a crush on him for years, he tells her he was also into her. WoopWoop that the sound of the police. He literally saw her grow up since she was his best friends daughter but he also became her legal guardian, what made her completely dependent on him. The power imbalance is so icky. Also they decided to have a kid at like 20. She can’t even drink and he is double her age, but they decide to make another kid? Great idea. Her parents would be turning in their graves. Also just because your also creepy brothers justifies it, doesn’t make it ok
Amanda Richardson honestly has some of the best smut I've read in a while. She's making tropes that sometimes have me a little dubious, extremely hot.
Liam Ravage, the oldest brother of the Ravage family, loses his best friend and ends up the guardian of his 16 year old daughter. The books follow their relationship after a one night stand in Catalina. Liam discovers that Zoe is a submissive and is slowly dragged into the BDSM world by her.
I'm so glad that this book starts with Zoe at 18, and she's been 18 for a few months which I prefer! I think if I'd seen Liam and Zoe interact when she was underage, I might have struggled with this book. And I loved their relationship development, it was extremely well written so bravo to the author! I never got the ick over their age-gap and she somehow managed to balance the guardian x ward, student x teacher and dom x sub well.
The third-act break-up felt justified in this book, and it never felt messy. It allowed both of them to grow as people and learn how to communicate and understand each other's needs. Liam is struggling with his guilt around his relationship with Zoe, and Zoe is still healing from her parents death and becoming independent/finding herself. When they finally came back together, it made sense.
I need to go back and read book 1 but I'm extremely excited for Orion's story. Step-sister romance... SIGN ME UP.
Tropes included: - Age-gap (20+ years) ( 19/40) - just to note, nothing happens between the characters whilst the FMC is underage. - Guardian x ward - BDSM - pleasure dom x submissive - Teacher x student - Third-act break-up
As a teenager, Zoe lost both her parents. She was then sent to live with Liam, her father’s best friend.
That book starts with a bang. And then it's will they or won't they throughout the book, which builds up frustration.
I had a fantastic experience and enjoyed every minute of reading this book. I loved the unique dynamic of the two with the BDSM elements. What I mean by that is the Sub was much more experienced than the Dom and the Kink Awakening.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ She tastes like sin and bad decisions, and I love every fucking thing about it.
I adored Liam and Zoe’s story! This book is angsty with mutual pining: a forbidden relationship, >20-year age gap, father’s best friend, and guardian/ward dynamics. While their love is sweet, they don’t have the easiest journey to their HEA (expect some stumbles along the way).
My favorite part was Liam's pleasure Dom awakening. Every scene made me green with envy – Zoe is one lucky woman. This book makes me wish I weren’t happily married with two kids so I could go find my own version of Liam.
Overall, this is not a dark book. It deals with mental health issues and loss of life. Liam and Zoe share in joint healing, escaping loneliness, and learning to grab life by the horns.
Mixed burn and spicy, there is kink-scene exploration, first times, and lots and lots of dirty talk. It starts out fast (can we say Prologue smut?), but then it slows down to a simmer – Amanda sure loves to edge her readers!
Ward Willing is part of an interconnected series following a set of brothers. It can be read as a complete standalone, even with the character crossovers. Liam and Zoe get their HEA.
Genre: Contemporary Romance Tropes/Features: forbidden romance, father’s best friend, large age gap (>20 years), guardian/ward, virgin FMC, pining, pleasure dom, kink awakening, BDSM elements, dirty talk POV: Dual 1st Person POV Relationship Type: MF, mixed burn, spicy (kinks) Book Type/Ending: Interconnected standalone in Ravaged Castle series, HEA TW/CW: Available in book
DNF’d at 27%… this book started with a bang! I was hooked… but the more unsure Liam was and the more Zoe talked about her relationships to learn she was a submissive just threw me off. I guess I wanted Liam to be her reason for finding her sexuality/submissive side and I wanted Liam to already know he was a Dom? I hated that his brother knew more about Zoe… and don’t even get me started on her bratty side. This book made me uncomfortable and I have read PLENTY to know why I feel this way. The first two books in the series were SO good, but this one fell SO flat for me. Sorry.

DNF at 60%. I’m a DNF machine lately. This book has no business being 460 pages. The FMC was annoying and if I hear one more thing about “the lifestyle” I’m going to scream. What self indulgent crap. The MMC was stiff, but had some wasted potential. I liked it in the beginning but grew bored. I did like the authors writing so maybe I’ll try something else of hers.
TW - parental death (flashbacks, mentioned and discussed throughout, plot point), grief, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, violence (incl knives), hospitalisation (due to a minor injury), PTSD (incl fear of storms), drugs & alcohol, parental neglect (past, implied incl alcoholilism)
CW - D/s, forced orgasms, power play, edging, sex under the influence, spanking, light role play, restraints
Tropes - age gap (20yrs), dad's best friend, guardian x ward , teacher x student, forbidden, possessive, jealous, hurt x comfort
Liam (MMC) and Zoe (FMC) have shared trauma - Zoe lost her parents and Liam lost his best friend only to find out that they appointed him Zoe's guardian. Zoe spent most of her time away at school and when she was back, her accelerated education route meant the pair barely saw each other but it didn't stop Zoe's feelings. A trip abroad, some edibles and some alcohol brought everything to a head only to be pushed under the rug and forgotten... for a year.
I got the vibe that Liam was demisexual, he defo needed he emotional connection to be with someone and explained why he hadn't until now. He felt like he was betraying his best friend, he didn't want to cross any boundaries but Zoe was persistent in her pursuit and simply put, they are both consenting adults.
I was hooked by their story and their journey together and wanted to see what would happen between them, they have shared trauma and I thought the hurt x comfort scenes were cute. It was also nice to see that Liam didn't shy away from his own trauma and how it has impacted him and his mental health; it was refreshing.
Having the whole Ravage family + their partners and kids is always a great time. They really are a strong unit and I'm so happy we got to see more of Orion in this book! He is a very interesting character and his guest lecture on BDSM really pushed Liam and Zoe in the right direction; I cannot wait for his book!!
This is such a random thought I got while writing this review but I will scream if Kai's book is him + Juliet's brother and that guy he was seeing 👀
Scale: ⭐️ - would've DNF'ed / continued out of spite ⭐️⭐️ - shit, but whatever ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - meh, could've been better ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - lit 👅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - loved it, inject this shit into my veins 🤪
🫑 - no smut 🌶 - no point 🌶🌶 - mediocre at best 🌶🌶🌶 - standard smut, hot 🌶🌶🌶🌶 - 🥵 okay, some CW 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 - fuck me 🥵🥵 CWs / filthy with a side of filth - see Poison / Room Twenty-Two: Hide and Seek/ The Naughty List
I’ve really come to enjoy my time with the Ravage brothers so far, but I have to admit this one was my least favourite, and why I’m unsure on how to rate it. I just couldn’t connect with Zoe or Liam—they felt quite one-dimensional. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but Liam either talked too much or spent too much time in his own head, if that makes sense. He just felt abit wooden and dull.
I would have liked to see more of Zoe’s character development, particularly a deeper exploration of how she got into the kink world; it was after all their first time together that had made her realise what she was into. Her experiences were mentioned, but not really delved into. Not to compare it to Chase and Juliet’s relationship because their dynamic was different, but in terms of the dominant aspect and Liam’s discovery of his kink and pleasure dom side; it just didn’t flow as well as it could.
I know Zoe lost both her parents, and the Ravage siblings and their partners have taken her under their wing, but she didn’t seem to have many friends of her own, which again just made her feel very surface level to me.
Their interactions felt a bit off—not exactly uncomfortable, just unnatural. It didn’t feel forbidden at all, as I had expected, either. At times, they even came across as quite codependent.
Overall, I’m still very much excited for what’s to come for Orion and Malakai’s books; they’re two of my favourite tropes, taboo, step siblings and MMF romance!

I love these books. They just hit every single time. This one was no exception. Give me a forbidden age gap all day errrryyy day. Professor Ravage ladies and gents 🥵🥵🥵
Can we talk about that prologue 🥵🥵🔥
Loved Zoe’s character! Worth the wait! Go read it nowwwww!
I liked the story and how it was written. And also age gap!! But I'm still not sure what to feel about him knowing her when she was a baby. Though I liked how that was addressed. I also liked that we get see the previous couples and their babies too! I missed their meddling though. I was looking forward to their family bets. Excited to read about Orion and Layla's book!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I LOVED this book. I’m a sucker for age gap, forbidden love and dom/sub dynamic…. So this, ticked all the boxes. This is the first book I’ve read of the author’s and i really enjoyed her writing style. I’ll totally explore her other books. Highly recommend.
Dropped when FMC started talking how she was sleeping with few people at the same time while her boyfriend did same. And at the same time she had audacity to get jealous of the MC.
Though it’s relatively early in 2024, “Ward Willing” ranks pretty high as one of my top favorite Age Gap romances of the year. The book has a significant age gap. Zoe is 19, and Liam is 40. It’s a guardian/ward trope, dad’s best friend, and professor/student. But wait, there’s more, “Ward Willing” has an “undiscovered” pleasure D0m.
Zoe and Liam hook up when she is 18, but an awkward year passes, only for her to push her way even more into his life. Though they live in the same house, they’ve dodged each other. Attraction only builds more when they take a bee dee es m test, and the results are pretty telling. He is a pleasure D0m, and she is a submissive.
Author Amanda Richardson does not skimp on the spice in “Ward Willing,” but one thing that stands out from other stories I’ve read is the mishaps that may happen during bee dee es m scenes. She also addresses issues of anxiety and depression with the characters. “Ward Willing” was just wrapped up quite nicely for me and was wonderful experience to unfold.
I’m at a loss, if I’m being honest. This was one of my most anticipated reads, I’ve been waiting for months and months for this one. And y’all… I fucking hated it. What happened?! The age gap was a bit too gappy for me, but that wasn’t even the issue. The issue is that Liam was such a bore, and Zoe wasn’t anything special either. Also, why does a HEA have to include marriage and babies? And they name their kid Bronte?! Not Brontë… nope, no accent. Just Bronte. So how am I even supposed to pronounce that?! Was that something that should have be caught in editing? Was it done on purpose?
When Zoe's parents die in a freak accident, she's placed in the care of their close friend, Liam Ravage. For years, they’ve both grappled with their grief, each finding their own way to cope. Neither of them expected to bond through their shared pain, and as Zoe grew older, the dynamic between them subtly began to change. But one night, after a few too many drinks, everything between them changes in a way they never saw coming.
Safety Dad's best friend H(39), h(18) Virgin h OM drama HEA
i was so excited for this book because i enjoyed the other 2 but this one was too weird. i love an age gap as much as anyone else but the fact that he basically helped raise her from birth and is her guardian??? them having their first sexual interaction when she was freshly 18??? and everyone just accepting them together because they’re in love??? yeah, no. this book was icky from start to finish.
This book wasn't a horrible read, but it felt like there wasn't much plot development. The FMC got on my nerves quite a bit, she was so childish and immature that it made getting through the book really difficult. There were a few plot holes that I also didn't enjoy being the discussion with the FMC's aunt and how tf the MMC got custody of Zoe over literally anyone else in the bloodline. This book should be on Wattpad. Maybe then it'll make sense lol.
Liam is a man broken by the past. Given charge over his deceased best friend’s daughter, he tries to find purpose and meaning in protecting her. But Zoe isn’t a child anymore. She knows what she wants. And it starts and ends with Liam Ravage.
I loved this story, as I knew I would! I was already acquainted with Liam from book 2, Marry Lies, and I loved him so much more completely after reading his story! He is sensitive, possessive, dominate, and bookish. What’s not to love?!
Zoe is spirited and determined, but combine that with creative and smart and you have a dynamic FMC. I loved watching her evolve during the course of the book!
Their love story is both heart breaking and beautiful. I teared up a lot, and although somewhat predictable at times, the story was full of so much reflection and depth!
The intensity of the spice in this book is itself dominating and difficult to forget!!! And even though age gap is not my preference, I didn’t find it distasteful or off putting. It was true and necessary to the story!
In this HEA book, you’ll find… • Guardian/Ward • Professor/Student • Possessive MMC • Age Gap (almost 20 years) • Found Family • Discovery Dom • BDSM lifestyle and actions • Loads of Well-Written Spice • Angst and emotion
I recommend this, and the whole series so far, to anyone who adores spicy, angsty romance with depth.
{Thank you to the author for an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest opinion.}
"Liam." "You're mine to protect. Let me do that for you, Zoe."
Another perfect Ravaged Castle book. Liam and Zoe... oh my god, I've been waiting for their story for so long and I loved every second of it. After seeing glimpses of them in the previous books, I was dying to dive into their story. An age gap, professor-student, ward-guarding romance was everything I needed.
Liam was best friends with Zoe's dad when a tragic accident took him and her mother from her, making Liam her guardian. However, it's not as easy as that, Zoe had her rebel side that always came out around Liam, especially when she got older, and wow the sparks between them... Liam fought his feelings and desires as much as he could, and Zoe would push him and poke the beast every single time. She was the forbidden fruit and Liam did everything he could to resist her, until he couldn't anymore.
Ward Willing was absolutely amazing! Book 3 of the Ravaged Castle series delivered everything! I loved seeing Chase and Miles again, and seeing Juliet giving Liam advice was so cute! I loved everything about Liam and Zoe's story and I can't wait to read Orion's. After all the hints and seeing him in this book, I'm so curious and invested in his story! Ward Willing is a full-length, age gap, guardian/ward billionaire romance with BDSM themes. It is book three in the Ravaged Castle series. All books can be read as standalones.
