This book spoke to me. I connected to the immigrant experience, and I saw myself as a member of the high achiever club. I love the insightful questions that made me think about my past and help me see a better future. It’s made me reflect on my greater purpose and my ultimate legacy, and I already see the steps I can take to start living more aligned with the things that matter to me. It reads like a conversation with a friend that’s helping you through a tough time and believes in you more than you do yourself. And more than just empty recommendations, this book gives you the how — concrete steps to make real change.

Inspiring and entertaining from beginning to end, Dr. Esther Zeledon's "Creating Your Limitless Life" is one of those rare books that makes you want to change your life there and then. Her story is relatable whether you are chasing the American Dream or not, and speaks to you about how to live a life of happiness through alignment. It encourages you to be true to yourself no matter what society tries to tell you, and makes you believe in limitless possibilities.

Self-Help is a weird category of book. There is an inherent vulnerability but also wasteland of effort that plagues the entire genre. It's a thousand people screaming into the empty void that they have the answers. It kind of has this 70s bojo Messianic aspect to it. Very Simon and Garfunkel screaming about Neon Gods on tenement walls. An inherent selfishness and ego drive that is meant to cut through the silence while being bolstered by sheer confidence.
This is why this caught me a little different.
It's affordable for one. Usually the Oprah circuit is asking for an arm to give you a penny for your thoughts. Empty platitudes from a pool in Malibu as they pose with a fancy car and tell you that this can be you. Just as long as you pay 19.99 for the hardcover. Spend money to make money babeyyy, don't run from the grind and hustle.
This book's different. It's an autobiography really of a life lived and trudged through. It's real and bare and things opened up to and admitted into while also searching for meaning. That search is a theme that runs deep in the book. What is it to live? What is the point of living on this Earth as it spins aimlessly into the void.
Dr. Zeledon is like an astronaut navigating it as she talks about fate, luck and chance. A Gladwell-like search into the outliers that define life and where the strings guide us from the velvet rope that is the merry-go-round of living.
It's a book about being really, well, Millennial. The things that we all have to live with. A collapsing star of broken dreams and setting ourselves on fire to keep those around us warm. As a teacher, I see myself in that. That constant desire to people-please and burn myself out for those around me. How the American Dream has in many ways lied to us while masking how much of it is just fortune and chance. As well as much of it is a stacked deck in the casino of this country where the dealer has all the cards tucked beneath his sleeve.
That (and the workbook) tackles that feeling. That inherently millennial search for meaning in the sheer random happenstance of existence. How unfulfilling it is to live other people's dreams, a common refrain of the first gen immigrant kid. The burden of those expectations and the existential horror of never living up to them because the pool ladder had been yanked from you so long ago and now there you are. A sim as you float endlessly until the second it the code gives in.
It splits into two ways of looking at things. Legacy. What are you leaving? Someone else's dreams or your own? As well as what you want.
Like as a teacher, I've heard a lot of this stuff before. "Fixed and Growth Mindset" and "Find your Why." I've heard these terms so often that I immediately cringe because the image of an overzealous white lady who has never stepped foot in an inner city school is telling me that 'you should tell kids to change their mindset!' and to know my why. Why why why. You are a why. You are no longer a person. You are a walking ball of ideals so we can continue not paying your worth and you will feel guilty otherwise. It's Alec Baldwin in Glengary Glenn Ross. Admin's who read one leadership book and don't pick up what's being said.
Dr. Zeledon reframes this. Not about that these things are an end-all be-all but that it's really about finding your what. What drives you? What do you want to do? And what are the limits and things that we place on ourselves to stop us from being our best selves? It ties back to the millennial desire to people please. To become a martyr for others and try to live for an American Dream that doesn't really exist anymore. That this was the secret to the Norman Rockwell paintings of our youth or the NYT puff pieces I see in my morning e-mail.
It's about finding your boundaries and the limits you set for yourself. The little workbook helps identify them too! Then, it talks about breaking past them. Looking at who you are as an individual and really actually chasing after your goals and dreams. Like you have one life to live, why waste it living for someone else?
It ties into that millennial gifted kid dread. The feeling of failure and breaking away from those feelings of a life less lived because you didn't live up to a certain 'potential.' How it hurts POC kids because of that feeling that you have to live to some first gen anxiety that you still exist with because you didn't follow some kind of plan.

The book is divided into three parts: The first one is an autobiography, where Dr. EZ details the path she took to arrive at a place of enlightenment. The second part lays out the theory of her alignment system, point by point, until she takes you through the application of this theory in practical exercises (purchasing her accompanying workbook would greatly enhance the experience), designed to help you identify and organize the various aspects of your Purpose Sun (a clever tool used to make the abstract tangible) into an action plan to achieve alignment with your purpose. The third part details the practical application of what you learned and how it can be scaled without self-imposed limits. I found this approach particularly ingenious because Dr. EZ builds a relationship with the reader through vulnerability, by taking them through her story, while creating context with real life examples to provide validity to her system. If this book was in a different order, it wouldn’t work as well.

Some people believe in magic… I’ve replaced this word with synchronicity ever since I met Esther. I bought the book from her in person in November 2023 when we met at the conference in New Orleans. And, oh boy, little did I know that I was up for a wild ride called “rearranging and realigning my life”. Last year I felt like I was at the crossroads, trying to figure out my Next Step as I got tired living in the same chapter of my life for many years. The book made me think about my Purpose and what kind of Legacy I want to leave after I’m gone. We all came to this World for a reason, we all have unique talents able to change the lives around us for the better. And after I realized what my Purpose and Legacy should be - I started aligning my Life according to it. All of my relationships and work became intentional, I cut out many unnecessary distractions and connections that no longer were serving their purpose. And, all of a sudden(not really) meetings with people and events started to happen in my life that would help me fulfill my Purpose. Again, you can call it magic, me and Esther would call it synchronicity! I’m forever grateful for this book, a guidance for lost souls like me!

This book talks about the American Dream, and how the pursuit of it can sometimes feel exhausting and overwhelming. Instead of blindly chasing an idealized life that’s defined by how much money you make or what possessions you have, instead, you can learn to pursue what makes you happy. That might not necessarily equate to what you have been taught to want, and that’s precisely the point. Instead of striving for an ideal that might not even satisfy you if you attain it, there are other ways you can measure your success.
That’s not an easy lesson to learn, but it’s a crucial one. This book can show you how to change your definitions of wealth and satisfaction, if you’re willing to ask yourself some pointed questions and answer yourself honestly.

I stumbled upon this book at the exact moment I needed it most. I had done all the things that should have made me feel happy but here I was world traveled, well-educated, and back at my parent's house at the age of 30. In the woe is me phase of the journey to self-freedom.
I got recommended this book by a dear friend, and my goodness, it has truly changed my life.
Dr. Esther's story is very similar to mine, I felt so seen as I read it. Especially about her family dynamic and wanting so much more from life.
After crying my eyes during the first exercise I knew this book was going to get me to remember my why.
So to any person who feels lost, any person who feels lonely about their incredibly big goals, or any person who knows they can do bigger things in the world but aren't so sure how because they spent the last 10 years trying at it and it feels further away from when they started... Creating Your Limitless Life is an absolutely exceptional read. It's not like your typical self-help motivational book. This is genuine and actionable with several exercises that will layout your entire purpose. I didn't just come out with a new sense of motivation, but a thorough understanding of everything I want to accomplish.
I won't say much as I don't want to spoil her inspiring stories, but the story of her Great Grandfather Dr. Benjamin Zeledon alone is worthing purchasing this wonderful book for. Brave, heroic, inspirational, courageous and for the people. Although in different times and circumstances, we now see the author Esther demonstrate the very same traits, and using that to help others.

There are many reasons I enjoyed this book, but the main one is that the premise of the book fits right into my own life. I normally tend to set the bar low, and I end up achieving my goals, but not using the potential I know I have in me.
Over the pages, Dr. Esther Zeledón helps the reader to achieve their goal of living life at its fullest. Living limitless is a serious and very demanding task, and I think that reading about it helped me exit my comfort zone and unleash my potential (at least more than before, the road is harder than it looks).
Overall, it's a great choice for the reader who wants to break free from overthinking and start right into action!

Living limitless is a serious and very demanding task, and I think that reading about it helped me exit my comfort zone and unleash my potential (at least more than before, the road is harder than it looks).
Overall, it's a great choice for the reader who wants to break free from overthinking and start right into action!

A book with a cover that doesn’t go unnoticed. CREATING YOUR LIMITLESS LIFE: ...On Your Terms by Dr. Esther Zeledón is a very attractive book with amazing aesthetics. I consider it to be a long book due to its length but I really didn’t feel it heavy while reading, on the contrary, I think I was captivated from beginning to end, which made the reading light.
This is the book everyone who wants to achieve their goals needs to read. It’s thought provoking and also inspiring and that’s what I liked the most. I think that reading it twice means getting more insights and learnings so this is why I certainly recommend reading it.

The book has been a great read and a surprise for me.
I have to admit that self development books are not my favorite ones (I read more than 50 books per year, mostly history, politics or international affairs). I usually found these kind of books repetitive, and offering a one size fits all solution or recommendation. In the best of the scenarios; they express a personal perspective but without offering too many details or being too personal.
This book is very different from this approach. Is written in a more personal style which makes the reader feel that we’re having a conversation. In my opinion, this category is full of cold distant books, this one feels closer, personal and an interesting book to read.

Good
Creating Your Limitless Life is a good book about becoming successful and making your own way in this world. The first half of the book is the author's life story. Some readers may find it helpful or interesting to read all about the author's childhood and family life and their eventual path to success. The second half of the book gets more into actual advice and tips and concepts to know about (growth v. fixed mindset, imposter syndrome, etc, as well as habits and thought patterns that hold us back. I don't think I learned anything new in this book, but it might be informative for someone just starting out. It's a very easy and quick read, worth checking out.

I think it is a good book to read nowadays; it offers an encouraging message about the value and power of focusing on what each one wants.
It is a self-help book written by Dr. Esther Zeledón in which she brings together all her experiences and knowledge to create an inspiring guide.
What distinguishes this book from many others in the self-help genre is that it encourages the reader to define success, goals and objectives in their own terms. It has some general basic tips but it focuses on self-empowerment, and it doesn't try to set a strict path.
I recommend it for people who are looking to give a new and better direction to their life!

"You don't owe anyone anything."
This book is empowering and inspiring, as the author motivates us to become a better version of who we are; we have so much potential lurking around. All we have to do is start the journey and keep moving forward. The chapters are so easy to read and understand. I enjoyed reading this book; the way the author used colors and text sizes to emphasize a message was subtle but impactful. The author's stories are so captivating that I sometimes thought I was sharing the experience with her. Building your community is just as vital as motivating yourself; we should surround ourselves with the people we want to become, champions of life.

I got to define what success actually means to me
This guide is the kind of text that actually makes you change in your life. We only live once so we might as well make the best out of it right? This book helped me personally quite a bit on the journey I was on. I was trying to give my life more of a meaning and actually do with it whatever I want to do.
Success means something different to everyone. While reading this guide, I got to define what success actually means to me. I reduced my overthinking and changed a lot of the people I surround myself with.
That’s the thing I appreciate the most. This guide is straight to the point and gave me a clear plan of what to do.

Inspiring and entertaining from beginning to end, Dr. Esther Zeledon's "Creating Your Limitless Life" is one of those rare books that makes you want to change your life there and then. Her story is relatable whether you are chasing the American Dream or not, and speaks to you about how to live a life of happiness through alignment. It encourages you to be true to yourself no matter what society tries to tell you, and makes you believe in limitless possibilities.

This is an amazing book, Esther balances her personal story, reflections and professional insights to create an engaging and practical books (including the work book).
Tackling some difficult topics with vulnerability and authenticity that makes this book really stand out for me.
I love the frameworks and models she use like POP, that are easy to understand and implement. Definitely recommending to my community of people.

Reading Creating Your Limitless Life is like having a coach directing you through the ultimate transformation towards your purpose and dream life. Intensely motivational stories, and life changing exercises. Can’t recommend this enough!
