About the author

Gosho Aoyama (青山剛昌) is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known as the creator of the manga series Detective Conan (known in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom as Case Closed).

Aoyama made his debut as a manga artist with the work Chotto Matte which was published in the weekly magazine Shōnen Sunday on winter of 1987. Shortly after that, another work by Aoyama, Magic Kaito, was published on the same magazine.

Die Geschichten in diesem Band sind neuer und näher an Aoyamas aktuellem Zeichenstil. Die Rahmenhandlung um den Pandora-Stein wird weiter vorangetrieben. Außerdem werden Kaito Kid und Detektiv Conan weiter verzahnt. <3

Now we're talking! This is the Volume in which the actual story is getting started and the one where we get beautiful and fun moments. Still some small things bug me - but that's the case with most series. In general there were some really amazing and some basic chapters.

This cannot even be compared to the first 3. It is simply SO much better.
(and whilst i'm only half way through volume 5 I can already tell you that that one is EVEN better than this)

Quá trình hồi phục ngày #13.

Tập này ổn. Nét vẽ càng ngày càng gần với nét của Conan hiện tại. Cách kể chuyện cũng đôi chỗ chèn thêm suy luận theo đúng kiểu thám tử cấp 3. Chương đấu trí với Kudo đúng hay luôn.

Tập này cũng giới thiệu thêm nhiều nhân vật phụ ấn tượng như Chat Noir hay Nightmare. Câu chuyện cuối khá cảm động.

Chuyện tình của bé Ảo-ko với Kai-tồ tuy ít được tập trung nhưng vẫn có nhiều khoảnh khắc trụy tim xuyên suốt 4 tập của bộ truyện. Mình thích :>.

Ha sido muy entretenido y me ha gustado tanto como el tercero, sobre todo la historia en la que figura Shinichi como adversario de Kaito. También hay que mencionar la última historia de este tomo, que destaca por tener un final bastante triste.

Tähän ehti jo vähän kiintyä, mutta nyt tässä kirjassa selvisi, että edellisestä oli kulunut jo 13 vuotta, eikä seuraavasta ollut mitään tietoa. Eli tämä hupi taitaakin loppua lyhyeen.

wuaaa~ baru tahu saya kalau ada buku ke-4nya O_O sewaktu saya ke gramedia (dulu sih) cuma ada sampai nomor 3 & sampai sekarang nggak kedengaran kabarnya lagi gimana lanjutannya, apa ada nomor 4nya atau tidak. semoga saat saya ke gramedia nanti, kaito kid 4 ini benar-benar ada XD

ceritanya memuat kehidupan sehari-hari kaito kid (lupa siapa nama aslinya) menjadi tokoh utamanya. selama ini dia kerap muncul di beberapa kasus di detektif conan, menjadi lawan shinichi kudo.

Re-reading Magic Kaito is like revisiting old places, there's no excitement because everywhere you look all things are familiar. Not to say the manga isn't good but there's nothing new there. Though I have no one to blame.

I started reading Magic Kaito because of the great curiosity as to why fans love him as much as they love (or sometimes even more than) Shinichi Kudo. Also because this is Gosho Aoyama’s and this manga is easier to finish than Detective Conan. 😂 Though the drawing at the beginning is not as good as the drawing is in this chapter (which shows a great resemblance to Ran and Shinichi already), the main storyline is good. Though this has more ”impossible” events since ”magic” is one of the main themes. Kaito always tells people that magic is only an illusion, but there are many scenes that will make you question ”how did he do that?” or ”where did he get that?”

Overall, it is entertaining. Although, personally, I’d like more romantic subplots between him and Aoko. Hahahaha. The stories are, of course, always focused on Kaito Kid and the police. The main reason I see as to why people love Kaito is his cute personality. ❤️ He is just a happy-go-lucky guy outside, yet he is very smart, kind-hearted, goal-oriented, focused, and sometimes stubborn high school student/thief inside.

This specific volume has a crossover, with Inspector Megure’s and our favorite detective, Shinichi’s, appearance. In the previous chapter, a crossover of the Yaiba family also occured. I bet creating these chapters are so fun for G.A. He has made a little world through his writing.
