A tragic story of evil craftiness triumphing over straight forward goodness through exercise of the law. I appreciated the imagery. The moral seems to be how being tied to tradition can lead to our undoing.

Pretty poorly written. Yet I finished it because it conveys a lot about the religious/cultural beliefs and practices of the natives who lived in the Niagara region. However I'm pretty sure I could have gotten that information less painfully.
