Perhaps you have a vague sense of personal purpose and have secretly thought, "I was born to do something significant in life" -- if you could just define it. Or, you may have all kinds of ideas of what you would like to do in life, but you rarely achieve them. In either case, you end up drained rather than completed, frustrated rather than fulfilled. You feel trapped, underemployed, and underutilized. You were not meant for a mundane or mediocre life. You do not exist just to earn a paycheck. The only thing that will satisfy you is what you were born to do. You were meant to accomplish something that no one else in the world can do. Here is a book of hope and challenge that you will read and re-read, one that is destined to become a classic, treasured by future generations. In The Principles and Power of Vision, Dr. Myles Munroe will inspire, motivate, and encourage you to start living the life you were created for as he reveals secrets to fulfillment that will greatly enrich your life.
Brilliant boo. It helped shaped the God-given vision for my life.Nearly after 3 years of searching, I have finally found it - Publishing God's word. In many ways, the book helped me build the confidence for what I wanted to do.
I must say that I love this book! The rating I gave it is over personal reasons that should not be used for you to determine to read this book; read it!
I was challenged all throughout this book! It is practical and uses biblical principles to promote establishing the vision God has given you!
I will read this book again and have already told my son to read it!
I could not have started the year with any other book than this one, authored by my favorite Christian preacher Dr Myles Munroe. It started off like any other good book, the definition of Vision with reference to scriptures. He went further, elaborating the 12 principles for fulfilling personal vision. There were correlations to some of the views I held on the subject nevertheless there is so much more I learned and intend to apply.
With awesome lucidity Dr. Myles Munroe uses illustrations from every day life to explain the significance of Vision for both individuals and organizations.
Great book. Probably my Favorite by Dr Myles Munroe. What stood out for me is his teaching on the involvement of people in your fulfilling your vision, as well as the role of the influence people have on you that is subtle but powerful Furthermore the questions asked at the end of the book help one to take action immediately and not just have the information in one's mind.
If you desire or crave so much for your live vision, and to establish God's purpose for your life. This is the right book for you. Dr. Myles Munroe elucidates succinctly the steps in actualizing your personal, concrete life vision!!

"Of the over six billion people on planet earth today I estimate that about four billion are struggling with the reality of a visionless, dreamless life. For most, history has robbed them of the capacity to dream and to live with hope for a better future. Millions live in nations, societies, and communities that are products of years of oppression and suppression. Hundreds of years of colonialism, dictatorships, and slavery to survive. They live for immediate gratification and plan only for each day. Many have no sense of purpose, hope vision, or a future, and they struggle daily to make life work." ~Dr. Myles Munroe
This doesn't only apply to third-world nations. Pursuing your vision takes faith and courage, continuing "through hell or high water," persevering against obstacles and forces against you. It means you are doing something right. Find your vision and pursue it relentlessly.
"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" ~Romans 8:31. "Where there is no vision, the people will perish." ~Proverbs 29:18.
This book is your first building block to actively seek your vision and inspire you to pursue it.
This is the greatest book that I have ever read....It has changed my life. Not knowing that you don't know your lack of passion is dangerous!Knowing you don't have it is much better.Knowing that his or her passion is a dying is a good step, now the next step is for him or her is to soul-search away from all manner of distraction till the mind is absolutely clear, he or she doesn't need to look anywhere else apart from deep within himself or herself. Many are the times we look to others to give us all the answers to our lives, and they fail to give in a satisfactory way because only one person on this earth knows who you are and what you are made of....That person is YOU!! You don't need to look further......#KnowThyself That's the first step to knowing your purpose, your mission, your values, your vision.....I highly recommend it to everyone out there who is clueless about what they were born to do on this earth
I've read this book three times through and consitenly use it as resource some of the philosphies really stand out to me and ring home he still leaves something to be desired in the area of practicality.
This book helped me to align myself with my personal vision...I have NEVER been the same and I have an unspeakable joy knowing that I'm living in purpose!
The book was interesting as I read it when I was finding my purpose, though I am not there as yet but it stirred me in a positive direction. the first step I did was ask God of my purpose and I am open to where he is leading me but what I know is that I enjoy helping people, it brings fulfilment to my soul and that is more than enough to me. That I can help people with the gifts/ skills I have. What I have discovered is that we find our purpose not for ourselves but to be a blessing. Serving others in essence. I would recommend this book to anyone trying to find their purpose, those that found their purpose to check whether they are not self centred but it benefits others as well. Mostly those that have found something similar but needs a change in their lives to find their real purpose in life. When I read the book it felt as if I was waking up from a deep sleep, I was sleeping on my dreams BASICALLY. Things started falling into place and I started having a vision when I had told myself I am never going to dream again because of lifes dissapointments. The book also tells us that we are going to get setbacks in life it is in the how of how we deal with them that dertermines our success in life. It is part of the journey and we should embrace the process.
What I will take out from the book mostly is the principles, the disciple that comes with vision is that even others do not believe in what you are seeing. It is ohk they dont have to because it is not imprinted in them. they must never talk you out. You must protect it at all times and only show people the results and not endless talks. Its good to have potential must implemention is much more effective because you can tell ehere you are failing and measure your progress. if only you start with where you are and with what you have.
Clear and concise. This book gives you concrete action steps to make your vision into a reality!
If you don’t like reading the whole book, it even offers a summarized version of the topics on its last pages.
The principles listed here are helpful for everything that we will do in life... They cover topics such as purpose, passion, faith, prosperity and patience.
This was especially helpful for me, since I’m more of a dreamer than a realist — so I tend to DREAM more than I DO. But with the help of this book, I’ve been empowered (with the help of God’s grace) to: - write down my vision and share it - read books / learn new things everyday - be conscious of what I invest my time in - stay focused on my vision whatever happens - give more freely & build good relationships - see the “gold” in other people
I’m putting this book on my “first books to recommend for living” list!
The Principles and Power of Vision is one of those books that doesn’t just inform you — it ignites you. Dr. Myles Munroe has a way of writing that makes you stop and reflect on the difference between existing and truly living with purpose.
What struck me the most was how he connects vision to identity and destiny. He shows that without vision, even talent and resources are wasted, but with vision, even limitations can become stepping stones. This book reminded me that clarity is the fuel of destiny.
When I read it, I felt both convicted and inspired — convicted about areas where I was just moving without direction, and inspired to realign with God’s original intention for my life.
It’s not just a motivational book; it’s a manual for anyone serious about discovering, refining, and pursuing their God-given vision. I highly recommend it to leaders, dreamers, and anyone who refuses to settle for survival when they were made for impact.
If you desire to exist an individual of Impact.this book is just for you.you need to turnup your devices by think -say and act.the thinking part of your lifestyle should be traceable to finding a place to managed yourself and others by alignment to reading of book that have an evidential proof to transforming life.one of such book is this kind.what you read will lead you to your destination in life.
This book lays out a clear concise pathway to not only understand vision and it’s distinct elements, but also gives practical application so that anyone looking to both develop and implement vision can do so with full steam ahead. This will definitely be a permanent part of my yearly library.
This is an in-depth book on Vision, a detailed guideline that engages the reader in answering searching questions along the lines of vision, purpose and action steps to take towards its materialization of vision.
The author made it clear that it is not enough to only have the principles but one must be endowed with power to carry out a vision. Men of vision go far.
