In this book, Bastien Bricout covers 58 forms of manipulation that people used at work, with strangers or relatives, on purpose or unconsciously.
For each manipulative method, he describes how and why it works on human beings, how to recognize it and how to defend yourself against it. Overall, I find a lot of strategies so tactless that I would not dare try them. However, I find it interesting the parts where he explains how to recognize when these strategies are used against oneself and how to fight back.
I read it in French and I find the writing style very much like spoken language, as if Bastien Bricout were giving you advice in a pub. It is also funny that several times he uses one of the form of manipulation (number 36 : proof by authoirity) to convince the readers that some strategies are widely used or why they work.
I would only recommend it to people who want to avoid being manipulated too often.
