Solid history of cinema through it's early days to the mid 90's.
Focusing on the interplay of elements within the filmic form, as a technology, business, cultural/national product and art.
Written by a British film producer who ran Columbia pictures in the late 80's.
Recommended to practicing film makers, especially young ones. Don't forget distro...
