this book has saved me on a number of occasions. when my mind goes blank, or i realize maybe i dont know any mongolian fiction... its way shorter than i would have liked, but it does well at filling in the gaps of my knowledge when im put on the spot. because i am good at what i do, but not perfect.(and, yes, i said it)

Some of the books here are part of those "must read" lists, but also there many that you might not have heard about. The books are organized by country and are selected because they either "conjure up a vivid sense of place or because they reflect a nation's sensibility." With up to 4 key titles for each plus additional "Read-On" titles and bonus "Read on a Theme" lists; if you can't travel physically, the books listed here will give you a great tour of the globe.

A great book to browse for discovery of something new. I love the way it's organised by country in such a way that makes it feel like travelling. Great selections from all corners of the world.
