This book was such a sweet, romantic, uplifting, inspirational read that kept me fully engaged and entertained throughout the entire book!!!

I could not put this book down and read it in just one sitting!!!

There were many times I found myself totally caught up in the story!!!

This book totally gave me all the warm and fuzzies and I loved every second of it!!!

I was very intrigued by the story line and found the concept to be clever, original, and well thought out.

I really liked Jack and Emily as they both had real problems, flaws, and baggage. The characters fit well together and just seemed to complement one another. These characters felt realistic, relatable, and genuine. And I absolutely loved the idea about the angels working behind the scenes!! This absolutely led to greater thinking and meaning beyond everyday life and perhaps there’s more at play than we are all aware of. Just the possibilities of the exciting unknown definitely led this reader thinking on a higher level and reflecting back on past decisions!!

I loved that the author snuck hidden messages throughout the book. It really raised more questions and allowed other viewpoints and helped me see things in different ways!!

There are some great lines and witty banter that will definitely make you laugh out loud!!

This book has a creative story line that evenly flows, superb writing style with meticulously well-described scenes, strongly-developed characters, is steady paced, and completely keeps you fully entertained!!

There are some predictable scenes. However, there are also some unexpected twists and turns and misdirection’s that you won’t see coming!

This book is not part of a book series at this time and therefore, can be read as a standalone.

For me, this book absolutely worked!!! It hit everything I look for and need when I am reading and reviewing a book!!!

All in all, I really enjoyed reading this book and would absolutely recommend it! I think all inspirational, metaphysical, visionary, and romantic comedy readers will like this book too! So, add it to your TBR List and get to reading - you won't be disappointed!

I received a free copy of this book through Goodreads First Reads. FTC guidelines: check!

This is the story of Jack and Emily: how their lives were going no where and then everything began to go very, very right as experienced and narrated through the eyes of their angels.

These angels exist in a realm where humanity can't see them or hear them directly (usually), but in extremely calm or dangerous moments, the veil seems to thin and communication is easier.

I liked that Crawford gave everybody three angels, sometimes more, who each had specific duties towards their human charge. One angel continually whispered love in their person's ear, one worked on the changing "statistics" of a person's life, and one, kind of, organized the whole thing. It was a charming view of spiritual guides and even though there were a lot of names of different beings, the story didn't really get too bogged down in the details.

This book uses spiritual principles to discuss major life issues like: why do bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people? Why do some people heal while others die? Why are we all here anyway? I felt that she shone some light on these issues but didn't present it as "my way or the highway". The author's narrative style was quirky and fun. It never felt preachy even though she was talking about spiritual/new age-y concepts the whole time. Even if you don't know much or have thought very much about these topics, Crawford would be a gentle and mildly humorous introduction.

I think that fans of Michael Bernard Beckwith and Rhonda Byrne would enjoy this book. Also, folks who like reading Sylvia Browne might connect with this message and artistic vision of angels.

I received this book for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Read an excerpt and follow the Goddess Fish book tour here.
I would describe this as inspirational. Inspirational is definitely not my usual stomping grounds, but I enjoyed this very much. The messages of self-worth are ones I strongly identify with. I was reminded of Anthony DeMello’s AWARENESS—a compiled lecture series about waking up and finding oneself. AWARENESS is one of those books that had a huge impact on me, and finding those lessons mirrored here was a wonderful reminder packaged in a sweet story.
I liked the mix of religion and technology. The image of angels using laptops was cool. I mean, why not? Whatever it takes to be productive in today’s multiverse. I wouldn’t call this humor, but it was amusing in ways. There’s one character who keeps misquoting common sayings, only to have another character correct them but then realize they like the new version better. It made me smile. Really, everything about this just worked.
The story itself moves at a metered pace. If you’re looking for action and thrills, this definitely isn’t the book for you. If you do want a slower, more introspective look at how we can change ourselves, read this. Something DeMello’s book taught me is that we are responsible for how we view the world—the world is not responsible for how we view ourselves. The changes need to come from within, from learning to appreciate who we are, flaws and all. This book captures that beautifully. No one is asking anyone to be perfect. The only request is to do better. Keep learning. Move forward. Start with you. I highly recommend this book.

What a spiritually uplifting & inspiring read with a life-altering metaphor!

I read this book a few years ago and the metaphor of angels conspiring for our highest good has forever changed my perception of life. I cannot recommend the book highly enough!

I enjoy spiritually uplifting fiction books like Way of the Peaceful Warrior, The Celestine Prophecy, The Davinci Code, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Sidhartha, etc. Angels on Overtime has earned a place in my personal top 10 favorite books of this little sub genre.

The story was such a pleasure to read! It's like an inspiring & uplifting romantic comedy. I laughed out loud every few pages. The parallel story lines were easy & fun to follow, and I enjoyed guessing how the characters, angels & humans alike, would ultimately collide.

I now walk through life, imagining my angels constantly arranging wonderful opportunities for me, and high-fiving each other every time I become aware of and grateful for their efforts. What a life-altering gift this little gem of a book turned out to be!

A fascinating romantic comedy idea full of entertainment and inspiration.
The opening line brings a little smile to your face and by the end of paragraph you are laughing. This is what you will experience throughout the book: positivity and smile.
Spiritually uplifting read makes you feel fresh and strongly believe in divine, and how angels work for the best of us in our daily life.
In addition to the uniqueness the concept holds Crawford's characters are charming and compelling, written perfectly for the theme and plot.
The author is master at delivering her message and this mesmerising story is proof. Through a romantic comedy she delivers spiritual and divine message.
Short, easy to read and full of fun, Angels on Overtime is feel good read for spiritual insights and is not the typical romantic comedy novel that you always DNF.
I would give this book 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a read to enjoy their time and read something meaningful at the sane time.
Looking forward to more works by Ann Crawford.

Definitely 6 Stars!

Ann Crawford is an amazing author who gently reminds us humans of our divinity and power, and most importantly of LOVE and JOY. This is the third book I have read of hers, and I am in awe of her insights, compassion, and diversity in writing. I thoroughly enjoyed the humor and the down-to-earth relationships between the angels and people. It is a light hearted read in some aspects, but it definitely gives profound explanations that do not need a religious degree or some high-ranking theologian to interpret it. You just know intuitively that what she is writing is simply correct. ... because she connects directly with our heart. Ann allows us to tap into our own divine essence very easily with a story that will capture you from the beginning. I highly recommend this book along with her other writings.

In my mind, she is an E.L.F ... an Enlightened Life Form ... and her heart song is contagious and is speaking to us. Thank you Ann.

While not something I might have picked off the shelf to read from its description, this was a really enjoyable and sweet read. I don’t want to sound like the bah-humbug person that I normally am but I’m not an “angels” person. Nor am I a paranormal nor romance type genre person. However, even though I may not be into angels, this is really a feel-good book worth anyone’s time. I think you have to keep an open mind because it isn’t the sort of thing everyone is into. But what book in which genre is it that you don’t have to keep an open mind?

I said “feel-good” and I meant it. There’s humor, a little back and forth between the angels and the “earthly” beings. A little romance for that matter too.

Good read. Ann Crawford has several other books published. All have very good reviews.

The writing sparkles in this story about hapless singles Jack and Kelly. So caught up in their own daily grinds, they don't have a clue that heaven and Earth is being moved to bring these two together. Their angels have to work overtime to bring them together in this delightful romantic comedy. A quick, fun read, I bought many copies for friends. The book also gets you to thinking about how the angels in our lives are working to get us to notice the beauty in our lives that is right in front of us.

This book is so thoroughly enjoyable that I can state that the only disappointment is that it ends! Walking a spiritual path can get a little, shall we say, serious. The author grabs the funny-bone tickler in her book, and wields it with delicious skill. Oh my gosh. I didn't realize how hungry I was on my own path for this kind of up-lifting, down-home, angelic humor. The lesson I take away is that laughter and joy are essential to peeling back more of the veil. I'm left with the most beautiful feelings of wonder at the mystery and sacredness of it all. Thank you Ann Crawford!

According to Ann Crawford, each of us has not one, not two, but three angels constantly reminding us that we are loved, we are worthy, and we are blessed. Some of us even have a fourth. Unfortunately, most of us can’t hear them, most of us can’t see them, either. They’re on our side, they want the very best for us, but they can’t just snap their fingers and make it happen. When the narrative began switching between Jack and Emily, I knew their angels would find a way to get them together. The fun was in seeing how they did it. And it turns out that wasn’t even the point.

Ann Crawford has written a fun and entertaining book in her Angels on Overtime. I enjoyed this story. It was delight to read. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the scenes. I loved the author’s humor. This was a well written, beautiful and quick tale.
I am giving Angels on Overtime four and a half stars. I would love to read more by this author in the future. This one is most definitely not one to be missed.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

Easy and fun to read, Ann brings a story of computer savvy angels to life with relatable, believable characters (makes you wonder!) With thought-provoking angel banter on true life secrets to manifest the things you want, this book conjures up positive feelings of inspiration without feeling preachy or overtly religious. A more spiritual theme with an unexpected and clever twist at the end. I would recommend this to anyone with an open mind who wants a feel-good read.

Not what I was expecting… NOT a rom com

This was described as a rom-com with angelic interference. I was expecting something well, romantic and funny, like Heaven Can Wait. I found it to be tedious and somewhat depressing. The first chapter was 18% of the book… and was largely repetitive. The only reason I stuck it out was I wanted to see what the hype was all about, and if it got better.

In a classic rom com, the two love interests generally meet in the first scene. It takes about 75% of the book before they meet. Well maybe the first 50%… depends on who you classify as the love interests.

If new age philosophy is your thing or you like dark humor this might be a great read for you. It is different. It describes itself as a divine romantic comedy. I looked up the Readers Favorite medal… looks like it was a bronze medal, and the category was described as Fiction - Visionary, so NOT a romantic comedy. Hence the disappointment.

If you are a traditional Christian, be prepared to be disappointed… and possibly offended by this view of God and the afterlife. There’s a fair amount of preaching… you can’t fail this life, it’s all good. You have all eternity to figure it out. There’s a rape scene where the angels are whispering, it’s all good. You’re going to be so much stronger for this experience.

Review :
The authors contagious, refreshing humour runs through the pages of this wonderfully appealing romcom. Her trademark thought provoking captions, (“we are created to love and to be love”), left a smile on my face long after finishing the book. I found myself routing for the humans Emily and Jack to come together, all the time their inexperienced angels hovering around, working overtime to align them simultaneously. I love the idea that we all have our own angels working on our behalf, and the idea of Brooke and David as my Angels filled me with warmth and a sense of fun, leaving a really good feeling that there is someone for everyone ! Ann has once again created an award winning enchanting story that fills the soul with love and light ! Thank you Ann for giving me another chance to discover more wonderful Words! 🐝🐝♥️

I wouldn't say this is an angel romance, but there is a bit of romance in it though our attention is on angels and what they do in our world. It's a breezy read full of informal teaching about various types of spiritual operations, with an emphasis on guardian angels.

When I got this I thought it might be one of those horrid books where a horny angel falls in love with a human, or where humans have to fight off evil angels. Every time I get one of those books I think that the author has zero idea of how the universe is structured. If they're religious, it seems to me that such concepts don't mesh well with any religion I'm familiar with.

But this isn't one of those. It's lighthearted, encouraging, and reminds us that (despite what the news might try to feed us) the world and its people are climbing upwards in their search for higher spirituality. Plus the angels in the book are all darlings.

Let me first say I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It was funny, insightful and inspirational. I like how the religious overtones weren't felt too much except its from the POV of angels. I've read a lot of Christian literature even though I am not Christian per se but I enjoy the uplift SOME books give you. This was one of those books. The humor was solely needed for me and quite refreshing. And it wasn't corny laughter. I genuinely laughed out loud. The story was relatable and the pacing was great. I don't want to spoil it for you but if you are feeling blue about your love life or blue over heartache buy this book. You won't regret it.

Seeing from an angel's point of view

I absolutely love this story. It is so uplifting as the author shows how much support humans have from the angelic Kingdom. There is the beautiful message of non-judgment and love. Whether you are a person who thinks that this is just a fantasy story or someone who believes that this is the way it really is, you will not want to put the book down until you get to the end. I highly recommend this to anyone who believes in angels and may feel a little bit discouraged or depressed. Reading this book will help you see things differently and could possibly change your life. (If you let it.)

An interesting read. At first, I felt overwhelmed by the situation, trying to understand all the information given. Once we got into the story, I found myself enjoying the journey for Emily and Jack, a human couple, and for Brooke and David, the rookie angels on Earth. I had moments where I cried because of the vignettes of random people's lives. I laughed at some of the witty banter between the angels. And I hope all would work out for both couples. Overall, this was a good story.

I received a copy of this story through Goddess Fish Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

Angels on Overtime is a hilarious journey through consciousness - as humorous as it is heartwarming. You will see yourself and everyone you'll ever meet in this book, and understand the interplay in a whole new way. Truly drives the message that the human experience, despite its occasional confusion, pain, and doubt, has purpose and supreme value beyond that which we seldom comprehend. This book will make you fall in love... with you! Thank you, Ms. Crawford, for this FABULOUS GEM!

This spirited story is a delightful glimpse into all things human, as seen through the eyes of angels. I laughed my way through every page of this hilarious adventure, thoroughly enjoying Ann Crawford's wry ad witty style. But the reason I recommended this book so highly is that it stayed with me long after my last chuckle. The simple and beautiful spiritual gems contained in these pages continue to whisper to my heart with the voice of truth.

What a delightful read! In a masterful style, Ann Crawford has created an endearing and entertaining perspective on the human condition from the view of the angels assigned to watch over us. I read it in one sitting and found myself laughing out loud at times, and at others, pausing to look inward. I highly recommend!

Imagine "It's a Wonderful Life" told from the perspective of Clarence the Angel and mix in wonderful wit and timeless spiritual principles. As the book notes, the Talmud says every blade of grass has an angel over it calling, "Grow! Grow!" The wonderful characters in this book have a team of angels always reminding them that they are loved. Highly recommended!
