1. WINTERS HEAT - 5 STARS
My goodness how I enjoyed this story.
Story is filled with suspense, violence, amazing main and secondary characters, twists, romance and some steam.
Heat level 4 out of 5. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and HEA. Lord's name used in vain and crude words. It's what you'd expect in a military story.
2, GARRISON'S CREED - 5 STARS
I purchased this as a box set called THE TITAN SERIES: Set 1, loved the first book and this one too. This one had more suspense, twists and surprises that I didn't expect.
The story has crossover characters and could be a standalone. But I think you would enjoy getting to see how the team interacts.
Lovemaking outside of marriage, heat level 4 out of 5. Crude words and Lord's name used in vain. But I don't think I've read a military story that doesn't have that.
What I enjoyed about both these stories, is the teamwork. They actually go out and work missions. This isn't a story where they've retired and what they did was over. It made you feel you were part of the mission, with all his hills and valleys.
No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, romantic, sadness, joy, steam and a fantastic story. These are two people who have been apart for 10 years. Of course, they are going to have history with other people. I didn't feel they threw it in each other's faces, as some have felt. They went on with their lives.
I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you extra tidbits to decide whether to purchase.
3. WESTIN'S CHASE - 4 STARS
3.5 STARS -ROUNDED UP
Books 1 & 2 are my favorites so far. One reason this one didn't click with me is the h-Sugar. From not liking her name or her. I didn't care that she slept with one of the guys on the team (book 2), and this didn't bother the H at all?
I never felt a connection to them so when they have sex - it's just that sex, which is plenty of times. Heat level 4+ out of 5. The Lord's name used in vain and crude words many times. This had a sadness to it because of what someone on the team does. Why he didn't talk it over with the H was ridiculous.
Story has a lot of suspense, twists, intrigue, violence, nasty villains, HEA, little on romance and steam. My rating is higher due to the intricates of the story.
I can't improve on the blurb. just giving you extra tidbits to decide whether to purchase. Story can be a standalone, with crossover characters.
4. GAMBLED - 3 STARS
I would suggest you read book 3 first, Westin's Chase, first. This is a continuing story of what happened to Brock after he betrayed his team, and his marriage.
This should have been a longer story, with the H/h having more reciliation. Their time apart to figure things out is very short and forgiveness happens a little too quickly.
Lovemaking, within marriage, heat level 4 out of 5.
Some violence and suspense, little romance, story on second chances, HEA and steam. Lord's name used in vain and crude words.
I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you extra tidbits to decide whether to purchase.
5. CHASED - 3 STARS
I enjoyed the first three in this set. The scene sets up that the MC were neighbors for years and the h has loved him forever. Then we find out he liked her too, but his career took off and the h wasn't thought of. I just didn't feel a connection to this couple. Everything just seemed to be on the surface.
Lovemaking, outside of marriage - heat level 5 out of 5. We go from zero to 50 in seconds with their connection.
No cheating, no cliffhanger for our MC, but one of the Titan men is left hanging, some drama, little on romance, mostly lust, HEA, small part with the Titan Group. Lord's name and crude words used. Not as much in the other books. (ljb)
