Have had this book around for three months as I planned my garden for 2019. More information than I needed as I was searching for and verifying plants for my own garden. You'll be able to identify the caterpillar for different butterfly families. The life stages, colors and migration patterns is also included. Very informative, detailed and easy to read.
This beautiful, comprehensive book about the life cycles of butterflies is an absolute treasure. In addition to general information about the feeding, habitats, and mating of the gorgeous insects, there are additional sections containing information about individual families. The photographs in the book are outstanding.
One of my favorite reference books, this oversize paperback is packed with information. The full-color photos of both butterflies and larvae make identifying a new visitor to my gardens so much easier. The photos are so lovely that sometimes I just browse the book, soaking up the beauty.
