Super practical, down to earth. Just what one looks for when preparing to garden in a new area and is ready to go but first needs to read a book on it.

This is a must-have for anyone moving from a different climate to NC. It is not a book that attempts to be everything, but a book that gives monthly advice on all aspects of gardening. It is concise, thoughtful, and thorough, without being overwhelming. I'm so glad I own it and can't wait to grow my family's produce next year. Thank you for the gift, Dad and Saundie.

This book, divided into 10 plant catagories, is a great resource! For each catagories, such as roses, it tells you what you should be doing each month of the year in the Carolinas. I Love It!
