Crystal Healing & The Human Energy Field A Beginners Guide
This book is about energy and vibrations and is ideal for those who are beginning to learn about the human energy field. There is a chapter on the aura, a description of the layers of the aura, as well as how to heal the aura with crystals if it is damaged. The section on crystals details how to select, cleanse and care for your crystals. For those who are reiki practitioners, there is information on how to programme crystals using reiki. There is a step by step guide on how to heal with crystals using the chakra system. To get you started the author has included information on several crystals which may be used for healing each chakra. There is also a section on vogel wands, and when and how to use them.

For all my friends reading this review: yes, this is the road I'm going down now. It's getting weird and I like it!
This book had a lot of interesting information about MANY energy work topics for a 64 page book, but it could have easily been twice or three times that length for all the questions I now have and the depth I now hope to understand about each of them, as a beginner I mean.
So what kind of beginner are we talking about? The author has opened her own reiki school in the U.K. and thus approaches the text as one of a teacher of energy-work professionals, whereas I am just a sick lady who is just really open to trying anything at this point. Some of these healing rituals are pretty complex and seem more appropriate for people who already have a reiki practice with clients. For example, I am OPEN to feeling/intuiting the differences in energy/auric fields with my hands (and do believe it's a real thing), but I have no idea how to begin to develop that sense or what that experience might look like. It is not explained in the slightest in this book, just that it's part of the ritual. I could definitely have used some diagrams or drawings or, since it's an ebook, maybe a nice YouTube video? Are there even other people like me reading this book? Let's assume it's possible! And to that point, there was pretty detailed info about cleansing methods for crystals that even I, a total newb, already had some understanding of, so maybe not that helpful if you're already an experienced practitioner.
All this said, I did get some good information in broad strokes about selecting crystals and how to care for them and the author did invite all readers to email her, as well as meditate on the right type of healing/energy work for you- so I don't feel like I'm at a dead end. Just got more books to read and meditating to do! I do feel like I will refer to this frequently as I begin energy work on myself though!

If the energy becomes blocked the chakra will slow down and eventually stop spinning if left untreated.... If the Chakra was spinning too slowly you may be a person who holds back and is unable to speak their mind and express their feelings. If the Chakra is in balance you will find that it was spinning at an even and steady pace. This indicates that you are a good communicator. The colour of the Chakra should be a bring blue. If the Chakra is spinning too slowly it may be a murky blue in colour.
This book is a quick, readable intro to auras, chakras, and reiki healing. It's nice to have a visual way to describe how stress affects the body and what intention can do to help!

There was some okay information in this book, but I just figure that if you cannot get grammar, sentence structure, and spelling correct in a published book, you get 2 stars max. An editor would have helped, I think, with those issues.

This book was very easy to read. Not many scientific words (surprise) or any complex sentenses, but when learning about a new topic and being a complete beginner, that way of writing was exactly what I was looking for. It's easy to understand and easy to quickly go back and re-read a couple of phrases if I need to refresh something. It's not a huge overview over crystals and their meanings and does not go into every detail about chakras, but a delicate selection of basic and important knowledge - perfect for a beginner in the crystal healing world.
I recommend this book for those of you, who are wanting to get into crystal healing and this would be your first book on the subject. It's great for opening up the crystal and healing world and helps to make you understand the fundamentals in healing and the energy fields of the human.

I only bought this because
1) I wanted free shipping on Amazon
2) someone on twitter said it was a good “beginners” book.
As you can see, I didn’t start off on such a high note, but I was still optimistic. Keeping an open mind.
Anyway, this book began covering some interesting topics....but that’s it. The author never continued to expand on the topics (which is a shame, a lot of it seemed worthwhile).
I believe this book is useful for people who have a new found interest in crystals and have NEVER done previous research before & want to learn how to cleanse, charge, etc. This book would also be useful for people who already practice reiki, or some other form of energy healing, since it doesn’t cover the basics of that & just jumps starlight into it which left me a little confused. Overall, this read more like an “alright” article post, instead of an actual book

I’ve always had a love for crystals even at a young age so now I’m finally beginning to read up on them and figure out the healing powers and meaning behind it all and this was a good start :)

Good information
This is a book with great explanations of the different healing practices and what you need and how to preform them. However, it made me feel like I needed to be a master of each method. Pictures would have been nice. I recommend this book.
