When most people make their romantic relationship official, they update their Facebook. When billionaire Jacob Whitmore announces to the world that Leila Montgomery is his girlfriend, all hell breaks loose.
Leila is thrown headfirst into Jacob's affluent, paparazzi-filled world. She has no doubt that she loves him, but can their relationship survive when everyone wants a piece of the billionaire's new girlfriend?
~Venice Nights is a prequel to The Billionaire's Girlfriend (Part Five of the His Submissive Series), chronicling Jacob and Leila's time in Italy before they return to the United States.~
Ava Claire is a sucker for Alpha males and happily ever afters. When not putting pen to paper or glued to her Kindle, Ava likes road tripping, karaoke, and vintage fashion.
Even though this isn't the conclusion of Leila and Jacob, I highly enjoyed catching up with them.
This latest novella was amazing. You were introduced to new people in their lives, Blanka and Isabella. I absolutely love Blanka, sweet sexy girl with a head on her shoulders! I would for sure read her story. Also it was interested to meet strong willed, Isabella. I would like to read a full story of her and Allegra post "Venice Nights".
I laughed, I cried, I got royally pissed and in parts I wished I was Leila. Especially in the darkened hall... lol
A steamy, sultry seductive story that will whisk you off to a world of intense passion and alluring glamour.
Venice Nights is an erotic novella {short story} prequel to ‘The Billionaire’s Girlfriend’ and is part 4 of His Submissive series. The extravagance and lavishness of billionaire Jacob’s affluent life is not envisaged with Leila at its centre, hence animosity and abhorrent opinions are instantly evoked in the press. Their relationship is put to the ultimate tests as the paparazzi and public grab hold of the billionaire’s new girlfriend, all wanting a piece of their most intimate and hidden secrets. Encapsulating the struggles, trials and tribulations of any wealthy, celebrity or other individual with a high status’ private life in the spotlight Ava Claire writes candidly with brash boldness. Realistic and credible this compelling tale is reminiscent of any story regarding the wealthy and/or celebrity whose lives are constantly watched and scrutinized under a camera lens.
“…Out of a string of guests, women that came and went out of Jacob’s life, I was the exception”
{Part of her letter to Jacob -}
“…As scary as the press and a life lived in the spotlight is to me, it doesn’t compare to how scary I know life without you would be. I don’t think saying yes to you was a mistake…I was made to love you”
Heartrending and full of such warmth and sincerity, I felt an instant liking for the main characters and an empathy with them. Not normally a novel of common choice, I did not know how pleasantly surprised I would be by this book that was an engaging and thoroughly enjoyable read. Upon observing the workings of the human heart; here the author captures the delicate balance between strong feelings and emotions versus those external elements that can have such a dramatic impact on our relationships in life. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that this was a story of exceptional originality or that it is anything {in my mind} out of the ordinary within its genre, but it was a well-written short read that was most satisfying.
I have given Venice Nights a mediocre rating and average rating purely due to the fact that I was not blown-away nor did the writing offer anything remarkably noticeable in the way of ‘dazzling’ delights or memorability. Character-driven and dynamic, my interest lead me to read on as curiosity as to what would happen between the main characters, domineered any other thoughts I may have had in not feeling compelled to finish reading this book.
2.5 stars
I won a copy of Venice Nights by Ava Claire through a Goodreads, first-read giveaway.
Este libro ha bajado el nivel con respecto a los anteriores. Me ha dado la sensación de que todo pasaba muy lentamente y que había varias escenas de relleno.
If you thought that what happen in Venice was all romance and roses for Leila and Jacob your sadly mistaken because deep secrets are revealed from the past and Leila is thrown first hand into the media after coming out as Jacob girlfriend.
This story is sexy sizzling hot and dramatic at the same time with more wits bantering between the character that you are left with wanting more with every chapter and wanting to let the book go till the end. Its like we do not remember or care that we know already how the story ends but Ava's masterfully written words transport you back in time where you fell in love with the characters again and again!!!!!
I previously read the His Submissive series in its entirety, minus Venice Nights. I just finished this story today and it made me fall in love with Jacob and Leila all over again. I loved catching up on the rest of their time in Venice. After reading this story, it really makes me want to read about them again in a future book of Ava's. While reading Before You Go, I thought it would be nice to see them after their marriage. I still think it would be great to see them again, possibly with a wedding for Meg and Cade. Another great read by Ava Claire!
If you enjoyed His Submissive series, then you will enjoy catching up with Leila and Jacob as Leila learns what it means to be Jacob's significant other.
She is learning not only how to deal with the intrusion of the Press, but she is also learning how to be a true submissive the way Jacob wants her to be.
She's no pushover though, she is still as feisty as ever and sometimes struggles with staying quiet!!
I absolutely love these two and although this is just a short book, it certainly is worth reading.
Awww I just freakin' LOVE Jacob and Leila! Thank you Ava for giving us Venice Nights! Wow it was such an emotional roller coaster ride! Leila was struggling big time with her insecurities in trying to deal with being Jacob's girlfriend. Omg and we find out even more about Jacob's history and discover even more skeleton's from his father's past. Ohhh and of course Jacob and Leila always make it a HAAAWWTTTT read for us!! *sswwoooon*
I really enjoyed reading this, it had it's ups and downs on the emotional scale, but that is what made it so enjoyable. There were some steamy moments that were fun to read. I also liked that their relationship seemed real, because it had ups and downs. This is a great novella for anyone that loves this series as there are some important things that happen in it. Thank you Ava for this wonderful quick read!!
Leila learning more about Jacob's past and learning more about what he expects from her as a submissive.
Leila finds out what it is like to be the girlfriend of Jacob Whitmore and faces running the gauntlet with the Press. Jacob is just as masterful as ever.
A nice little add to the story. I could read about these 2 all day long.
If you have read the Submissive or are reading the Submissive, this is a lovely little story that enhances the Leila and Jacob story.
I seriously am so happy to have Leila and Jacob back. It was sweet and short as always and I am so happy they are back for more! it was nice getting to see more in depth of stuff that goes on. I cannot wait for the next installment!
I found it more interesting to read the story of Isabella and Allegra than reading about Jacob and Leila. Their story just was too fast and didn't make sense to me. I have to finish this series as I have to finish what I start....but it's not getting any better for me as I go on.
