THE #1 KINDLE BESTSELLER IN "Dark Comedy", "Satire" & "Political Fiction" In this dark comedy series you'll meet the Charons. They’re your typical dysfunctional family of four of the world’s best assassins. Father Michael is the former head of a covert arm of the CIA that did so many “wet” jobs it was code named “Water Works.” Mother Valerie is a legendary femme fatale whose steamy sexuality has been luring men to their demise for nearly three decades. Then there are the twins, Seth and Olivia. While barely into their twenties, they have already delivered on several high-profile contracts. Seth is very much his father’s son and is calm and calculating. Olivia, on the other hand, has been out of control since she reached puberty. With a smart mouth, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit body and the face of an angel, combined with lethal martial arts skills, she is a force to be reckoned with. In this episode, Olivia is asked by the Assistant Director of the CIA to infiltrate The Company and smoke out a rogue element. But when you’re six feet tall and arguable the most easily recognized and well-known female assassin in the world, it won’t be easy.
Rod Pennington writes a mixed bag of suspense stories filled with quirky characters, rapid-fire dialogue and whiplash inducing plot shifts. With his off-beat sense of humor and original storylines that do not fit comfortably into any established genre, he has developed a hard-core group of fans.

Stand Alone Books Indweller "It is not often you stumble across a new and original character that immediately grabs your attention. This is the case with Gabriel Indweller. A Black ops veteran inadvertently forced into a state of total enlightenment by a botch government experiment, he is now like an Old Testament Archangel with a James Bond style license to kill."

Exciting finish to this fun series. Quick read with all the characters involved including the minor ones throughout the different books. Lots of changes coming for everyone in the family. Enjoyable wrap up.
To read this book without having read the ones before it, leaves the reader puzzled and perhaps even a little discouraged with the plot. However, it would behoove you to go to my review of “Family Bundle” on Amazon, which is actually three books, and it lays the foundation for the following books and this one. I did this myself in order to catch up.
I was bored with this story because of several chapters of innocuous, inane conversations centered on sex, which did not move the drama and excitement of the story forward. But then suddenly there is action, drama and sensation, which saves this book into become an interesting read. I am only giving this book four stars because it lacks what Family Bundle had.
If you are a fan of the other Charon Family books, you will devour this one too. This is as good as it gets with the witty dialogue, the crazy bombs, assassins, fight scenes and family dysfunction at a whole new hilarious level. Another fast read that I could not put down, this one hooked me from the first page and did not slow down. The characters and their interaction is what keeps me coming back for more. As long as Rod Pennington keeps writing these, I will keep reading them. I am anxiously awaiting the next in the series.
