William Stanley Rubin was an American art scholar and curator and director of the painting and sculpture department at the Museum of Modern Art, New York City.

This collection really helped me understand his progression up to the Saskatchewan series. I think SFMoMA has a few pieces from the Protractor series but I don't think I've seen them on display.
Now I'm curious about the rest of his work, the rest of his career...
