The book could’ve been at least 40 pgs shorter if they ditched the miscommunication troupe. Also the fact he pretended to be dating someone else so she’d get jealous enough to sleep with him. 🙄

Lucy is jilted by her fiancee who has been running around and now has a new woman on his arm. To get their revenge on him, her sisters use Jack their step sibling to play act as Lucy's new fiancee.

Lucy is not so interested, but Jack is completely on board with the plan. The legend comes into play when Lucy's sister Helen from the previous book, goes into labour and Jack and Lucy spend the night in the legendary mansion.

They finally get together and it's such a saccharine sweet romance that works quite well for a lazy afternoon.
