A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

This is the second book of this series and is a standalone read, but the secondary characters do play a big part of these stories. This is Kyle and Addison's story.

Kyle Baron is a successful racecar driver and lives life to the fullest every day. He loves adventure and the adrenaline rush not only from his job, but from any seemingly dangerous activity he can do. Now injured, he is forced to rest and recover. His sister recommends he goes to the family ranch while he takes his leave. Never did he expect to meet the woman who may very well change his life.

Addison Raymond is a mechanical engineer who recently finds herself laid off from a corporate job she liked very much. She tends to live her life safe and controlled, so when she decides to take a break and regroup, she goes to visit her mother. Her plan is to lay low, relax and figure out where she is going to go next. Only problem, she unexpectedly meets a very handsome man on her way and starts to rethink her boring and controlled ways.

Kyle is drawn to Addison immediately and the circumstances in which they meet allows him to get to spend time with her instantly. He is not used to feeling this way about a woman, so he navigates carefully, but quickly. Addison doesn't do adventure, so on her quest to rethink her life, she takes the opportunity to give Kyle a chance. These two have instant chemistry and I really liked them individually and as a couple. They seem to bring out the best in each other.

Although I enjoyed the overall story, I felt like it was missing something. Kyle's story was well developed, but Addison's was missing something. Her relationship with her Mom was never really discussed and no friends were mentioned for her. I felt that the pace at which she and Kyle progressed, her only family member or a friend would have been there to support her. Kyle's family immediately accepted her and that was wonderful.

As in book one the Baron family is very prominent in these stories. I love the Governor and his wife so much, and she got a larger part in this book vs the first one. The siblings are great and we got glimpses of Chase and CJ from book one in this story. These stories are also clean romance which is nice for a change. I don't mind that when a story and characters are well developed. I am apparently in the minority with my review, but I just wanted a little more character development in this story. Also, the epilogue has what I dislike the most, a preamble to the next book. I like my epilogue to showcase the main characters of the book and give me the happily ever after closure I need. Overall ⭐⭐⭐

Second book in series describes Kyle Baron, race car driver, skydiver, boat enthusiast, over achiever, Texan and adrenalin junkie. Enter stage right Addison Raymond, mechanical engineer, between jobs, always plays it safe, animal lover. How do these two get near the same quadrant of the planet?
Kyle is nursing a casted broken wrist and cant race, so he is on his way to lay low at the Baron homestead. Addison is on her way to visit her Mom who lives in rural northen Texas town. A detour puts her on a 2 lane black top. Kyle sees the car ahead, signals to go around, Addison slows down. The big truck coming at them over the hill makes this almost an accident. Kyle squeezes by, while Addison wedges next to a tree in a cloud of dust and smoke! Needless to say Addison is quite stern, mad & frustrated when Kyle comes to see how she is. Thus begins Just One Spark!
As usual the Barons rally around Kyle en masse at the ranch. They set about making things right for Addison, fixing her car. Addison has no idea how she is on her way to lunch with a handsome good looking cowboy when she’s still fuming over being run off the road and what happened to her car! How can he be so nice! They get to know one another over lunch. Her love of animals is brought up. Over time Kyle makes friends with Addison, sparks fly. She impresses him with her wiliness to try new things. He impresses her by giving his grandparents 2 cute rescued puppies. He takes her go-karting, put putting and even racing the Baron sailboat. How did he get under her skin so fast? Life without her is missing something! The attraction gets stronger, could this be love? In order to find out you must get a copy of Just One Spark!

Chris Keniston is the queen of incredibly sweet, heartwarming novels and this series promises to be one of her best!

When the axe falls and engineer ADDISON Ray finds herself out of a job she heads home to spend some time with her mom while she looks for another job. She just didn't expect to be run off the road by a professional race car driver. She also didnt expect to be sitting at a dinner table, with one of the country’s most prominent and recognizable families with that same guy.

KYLE Baron doesn't have much time for relationships, so after practically running a woman off the road, he takes her to lunch while getting her car repaired, then sends her on her way. Then a threat from his grandfather has him doing the unthinkable. He finds the woman and asks her out on a date. And then another. And before he knows it Kyle realizes the unbelievable. He's falling for Addison Ray! But Kyle is terrified that Addison won't be able to accept the danger of his racing, and equally shocked what he'd be willing to do if she didn't.

Just One Spark by Chris Keniston is the second book in a new series called Billionaire Barons of Texas. The premise of all the books follows a group of men - brothers (?) who have money, power and influence. This novel focuses on Kyle Baron.

Kyle Baron’s life is focused on speed. He is a race car driver who has been hurt and is on the sidelines. While speeding to visit the grandparents, he inadvertently causes an accident with Addison. Addison's journey to visit her mom between jobs is sidelined by the accident and the whole Baron family! She is literally swept off her feet by Kyle and falls for his sweet nature. Addison and the adrenaline junkie seem like opposites but have found ways to bond, maybe forever?

This is another great book in the series. Again for me the “Governor” is a riot! I loved the premise on how they met. Just One Spark gets the story going! Great book.

I loved how Addison met Kyle and no idea who he was. Kyle was a Baron who was royalty in Texas. I am sure it was refreshing for Kyle to meet a woman who didn’t know who he was. They had such a good time getting to know each other. It was fun watching Kyle show Addison how to let go and enjoy life. Since Addison was an engineer, she was normally working too hard and not having fun. It was funny when Addison realized who Kyle and his family were. It was refreshing seeing a rich family be down to earth like most people. This is a sweet book that I encourage you to read. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Der Rennfahrer Kyle Baron muss wegen einem Unfall aussetzen. Auf dem Weg nach Hause drängt er Addison beim überholen von der Fahrbahn um einem Laster auszuweichen.
Um sich bei ihr zu entschuldigen lässt er nicht nur ihr Auto reparieren sondern lädt sie auch zum Essen ein. Das gefällt ihm so gut das er sie zu weiteren Verabredungen einlädt.
Der zweite Teil dieser Reihe zeigt uns auch wieder wie liebevoll es in dieser Großfamilie zugeht.
Kaum ist ein Buch fertig gelesen möchte man direkt mit dem nächsten weiter lesen.

I love this family!!

This second book was just as great as the first one of this new series! I love the way Chris brings soulmates together & shows the tight bonds of family! I was welcomed right into the family from the minute I met them just 3 & 1/2 years ago. It's just magical to be loved & accepted so unconditionally by people that don't share your blood! Thank you for showing the world that that still exists in this world!

Just One Spark, the second book in the Billionaire Barons of Texas is a well written story with very good characters in Kyle Baron and Addison Raymond. I enjoyed seeing this story come together, I was not putting it down until I had finished reading. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A wonderful new series with a new family, the Barons and the matchmaking grandparents. Kyle is a risk-taker and Addison is the opposite. She is searching for stability and another job. This pairing looks like it will not work on the surface, but Kyle finds himself falling for Addison.

Kyle is a risk taker while Addison is not. These two meet in one very spark filled way. Even though their lives are quite different where they are in their careers imo is quite similar. Of course his grandparents are playing cupid again. There is a time toward the end of the book that had me holding my breath and wondering if these two would give their love a real chance.

In " Kyle: Du bist mein Hauptgewinn (Texas-Milliardäre Reihe 2) " ist Addisons Leben in festen Bahnen eingefahren und sie erlebt nur wenig aufregendes.
Doch als Addison nach einer betriebsbedingten Kündigung auf dem Weg zu ihrer Mutter ist und von einem vermeintlich rücksichtslosen Fahrer von der Straße gedrängt wird, wendet sich ihr Leben um. Denn der Unfallverursacher Kyle ist doch pflichtbewusst sowie hilfsbereit, dazu entwickelt sich zunächst eine lose Freundschaft zwischen ihnen.
Adrenalinjunkie Kyle muss verletzungsbedingt auf seinen geliebten Rennsport verzichten, denn mit einem gebrochenen Handgelenk kann er schlecht sein Rennauto über die Pisten jagen.
So nutzt Kyle die Zeit, um seine Großeltern auf deren Ranch zu besuchen und seine gezwungene Auszeit zu genießen.
Das Kyle dabei auf Allison trifft und er sich mehr zu der Ingenieurin hingezogen fühlt, als er jemals bei einer Frau erlebte, ändert sich seine Einstellung zum Thema Liebe und Beziehungen. Sehr zur Freude seines Großvaters, dem ehemaligen Gouverneurs, der all seine Enkelkinder verheiratet sehen möchte und auf viele Urenkel hofft.
Allison ist von Kyles Adrenalinkick zuerst leicht überfordert, merkt jedoch schnell, was ihr in der Vergangenheit alles gefehlt hatte und kann sich kaum vor dem Nervenkitzel und der Anziehung zu Kyle erwehren.
Auch dann nicht, als Allison bewusst wird, aus welcher einflussreicher und vermögender Familie Kyle abstammt.
Doch kommt Allison auch mit Kyles Leben als Rennfahrer und der damit eingehenden Gefahr zurecht? Und ist Kyle bereit, der Liebe einen festen Platz in seinem Leben einzuräumen, so das es für beide eine gemeinsame Zukunft geben kann?
Die Story hat mich gleich wieder mit nach Texas und zur Familie Baron genommen, dabei bleibt sie spannungsgeladen sowie abwechslungsreich. Man darf mit Allison und Kyle mitfiebern und die verschiedesten Emotionen erleben. Es gibt einiges zum schmunzeln bis herzhaft zu lachen, so manche mitfühlende, tragische wie auch brisante Momente und die ein oder andere Träne zu vergießen.
Ich konnte das Buch nicht mehr aus der Hand legen, da ich wissen wollte, ob es für beide ein Happy End gab.
Das Buch bekommt von mir eine Lese / Kaufempfehlung und 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sterne.

Kyle ist Rennfahrer und liebt es wenn sein Adrenalin auf Hochtouren ist. Er hat sich bei einem seiner doch waghalsigen Trips verletzt, er kann deshalb auch nicht Trainieren für die kommenden Rennen. Was soll er da machen, ein Trip zu seinen Großeltern auf die Ranch ist genau das was er braucht. Früher hat er dort auch viel Zeit verbracht, wie all seine Geschwister. Er tauscht mit seiner Schwester das Auto und begibt sich auf die Reise dorthin.

Addison ist Ingenieurin, sie hat ihre Stelle verloren und auf den Weg zu ihrer Mutter, sie nimmt nicht den üblichen Weg, sie will in keinen Stau kommen. Womit sie allerdings nicht rechnet, ist das sie einen Unfall auf genau dieser Strecke haben wird. Kyle der immer gern im Rausch der Geschwindigkeit unterwegs ist, kann es nicht leiden, das ausgerechnet ein Auto vor ihm fährt, was für seine Begriffe langsam ist. Er überholt und hat nicht damit gerechnet, dass ihm ein LKW entgegenkommt. Im Rückspiegel sieht er, dass der Wagen nicht mehr zu sehen ist, sein Gewissen führt dazu, dass er umdreht und nachschaut.

Was dann alles passiert ist unglaublich, beide verbringen viel Zeit miteinander und lernen sich kennen, was Addison aber irgendwie nicht weiß, wer Kyle tatsächlich ist. Die beiden miteinander zu erleben ist unglaublich, obwohl sie doch sehr unterschiedlich sind, sind sie doch auch wieder perfekt für den anderen. Was die beiden miteinander erleben, muss man selber herausfinden.

Ich bin schon sehr gespannt auf den nächsten Teil.

Just One Spark, the second book in the Billionaire Barons of Texas, is a fun and beautiful romance with lots of steam. Chris Keniston puts adventure and life into every book she writes, but her newest heroine isn't looking for adventure; Addison likes her life just as it is, until it isn't. She has no idea that the white knight who comes to her rescue is not only obviously very wealthy, he is well-known race car driver, one of the last occupations she would have an interest in being around. Her whole focus in life is seeking security; his on the other hand is reaching out for adventure and danger. While she tries to sort out her topsy-turvy world, she finds his sweet attention hard to resist even though he keeps taking her out of her comfort zone.
Readers are sure to fall in love with Addison and Kyle, and all of the Barons as the new series unfolds. The series can be read as standalone, but like most series, the fun is getting to know the characters as the series rolls out.

Once again, Chris does not disappoint! From the 1st page, I was hooked. Being an F1 fan, I love how the sport was the backdrop of this romance. I cheered the Kyle and Addison on as their journey took them from strangers to friends to being a couple in love.
Gram and the Governor's continuing love story, intertwined through the books, is also a lovely side story.
Chris had me rolling in tears until my tummy hurt so much from laughing at some of the antics and dialogue.

When he meets Addison Raymond they are so different, but there’s something between them he can’t explain. A romance and sparks between them is so very heartwarming.
