Much more in-depth behavior guide than your average field guide. Even if this book contained nothing but the sketches in the "Display Guide" of various behaviors, it would be worth a read -- but there is so much more. The Wood Thrush section helped us solve several little mysteries we have observed among our local population. And the Eastern Wood Peewee section helped us discover how to delineate our pair's territory.

If you someday decide to watch birds in your window, "A Guide To Birds Behavior: In The Wild and At Your Feeder, Volume II" by Donald W. Stokes and Lillian Q. Stokes is for you! I know it sounds boring because the whole book talks about birds, but I assure you it is not boring. Instead, it is a fun book that tells you about birds.

This book explains why birds flap their wings, sing, how they feed, and more. It's like the authors are having a conversation with me about their affiliation towards birds. This book talks about the different species of birds you might see around you or in the wild, and it is so interesting to learn about them.

You don't need to be a bird expert to enjoy and understand this book. It is easy to understand and surely a good guide about birds. After reading this book, you'll know why some of them fly around you and how they feed!
