I have a pretty stupid sense of humour at the best of times, but I found most of this "book" falling flat. I say "book" because it was it was all screenshots and not even many that were particularly original or funny. Plus, there wasn't that many of them. Surely if you were going to compile a collection of screenshots though, you would take the best ones which are high quality and not just mostly sex-based? Maybe my standards for text fails are just too high (?) I borrowed this through Kindle Unlimited, which was a positive and if other users are interested then I would not advise them against borrowing it. Overall, some people will enjoy this, but there is nothing in this book you couldn't find online already. I just wanted this to be as good as I expected and actually make me laugh, but unfortunately that didn't happen...
It's not often I come down hard on a book like this, but here goes:
First off, this isn't a book - it's a collection of screenshots of text conversations. Which is fine, alright. But, well, they're mostly not that funny. The jokes are awkward, often look faked, and usually just fall flat without getting me to crack a smile - and come on, I look at silly youtube videos and cat gifs all day, it's not hard!
What really struck me was the complete lack of effort, like this author didn't even try. There wasn't even so much as an attempt to format these conversations, they look like images just slapped together from numerous sources - and in fact, they are. Websites making fun of autocorrect mistakes have been around since it became a commonplace feature, and they steal from each other all the time, sure. But I have never seen someone steal the images of someone else, crop out that site's watermark and logo, and then try to SELL it. Admittedly, it's not quite illegal - it's just a con. If it's "epic text fails" you want, just Google it. I promise you'll find funnier stuff, and for free.
Incidentally, if you're still set on this purchase, note that it contains some material not appropriate for children.
I loved this book it made me lol multiple times i would suggest it for anyone who's having a bad day. I would be able to count on this book to make me feel better and smile.
They're probably something you could find on the Internet for free, but this was available on the Kindle Unlimited program and it was a bit different than I expected. Funny, but waiting for more!
