Plain Love is the third book of a trilogy that seems to me should have been published in one volume. Good books but each was too short and I read the last two today. By no means the only things I did today either! Two hours in church and an hour phone call from a daughter and I still read Plain Trouble and Plain Love in one day.4 stars to the whole three books.
I read this book before going to bed every night. Yes I am married with grown children who are also married but I don’t care about my age. These books encourage more love in my own marriage. I think it’s a reader for all ages not just teenagers.
This is the last of a trilogy. One of the key elements of this book and the one before, Plain Trouble is how hate can consume a life.
Unlike most of the shorter Amish books (most a novellas or short stories), this set works. BECAUSE the author actually wrote a book. A real book with a beginning, middle, and end on all three books.
The end of this book was predictable yet the seething hatred Ruth showed to Sadie was so intense, one wondered if the writer could resolve it in a believable way. I believe she did.
RECOMMENDATION: Obtain all three books before you read any of them. However, you can read the first book with a break. I was able to read Bk 2 & 3 one after the other. I think it made them more enjoyable.
All three books were free at the time of download from Amazon.com.
If you enjoy reading Christian books this is a good one. It shows how we must wait for God to work in our lives. And to have faith that He has our best interest in mind.
Rachel again does an excellent job with the last book in the trilogy. It beautifully combines all 3 books. I'm not going to tell you what happens because you need to read it for yourself. Just take my word for it !!!!!!!
