Lord Dahken Cor Pelson looks to rebuild his race and Aquis in the wake of the Loszian invasion. However, there is little time to rest as he soon discovers that he is beset by enemies on two sides. Somehow, he must defend his family and his country and end the Loszian threat forever.
Wow what an ending, I can't say it is the best or worst. The 2nd and 3rd book hinted at the history of this world that this book tore wide open. I read some comments that people were outraged at the way this series ended but I have to laugh! Some readers forget we are only along for the ride of what the author is/has created. The author is the power and owner no reason to get worked up over what they chose to do with their creation. I have to thank the author for the several philosophical questions that he brings up. The one that really sprang out to me was sadly with the thought of war with Islam/Muslims and everyone else. We non-Muslims can only hope that Sunni and Shiites continue to hate each other and fight. Otherwise if they ever unite then we non-Muslims really will have a reason to worry!! Just one of several philosophical questions in the book I thought. Worth the money and time to read! Enjoyable reading experience if it can take you beyond just what you have read! Definitely did that for me. Look forward to more of your books.
I had really enjoyed the series up until this volume. I just did not like the direction that the story took. That being said...i really hope that the author does revisit this universe again.
