Get inside the head of a serial killer, follow in his footsteps, and then help stop him before he kills again! Fast paced, exciting, and forcing you to turn the pages into the small hours of the night. You won’t be able to put this one down!

When Peter Nicolson, an investigative reporter with a leading Scottish newspaper, starts to see visions of unsolved killings committed by a murderer that no one has ever caught, he sets out to solve the murders, to track down the killer, and find out the truth behind his visions.

In Peter's vision, there are seven knives. So far, there have only been six murders. Can he solve the case before a seventh life is taken? If he can't, who will be last to die?

But as he uncovers a trail of death that stretches across the United Kingdom and Europe, the eyes of a powerful global company watch his actions from afar, anxious that he will uncover the incredible truth behind their new drug treatment, and they conspire to make sure he does not succeed in revealing it to the world.

Haunted From Within culminates in a surprise ending that few will predict.

Once you have finished the book, the author encourages you to go online, and find out the truth for yourself. And when you discover the truth, it will make you question the meaning of life itself…and want to tell all your friends!

"Brilliant Epic Novel! "As a seasoned reader I can only say this book is pure genius. The author makes Stephen King novels lightweight. I am simply amazed by this author's ability to tell a story so brilliantly. More please Mr Irvine."

"Amazing from start to finish!"

"A gripping ripping supernatural thriller that gets you thinking!"

"A stunning read! "

"I have to say it's the best book I have read in a very, very long time The story and characters jump off the pages and grab you by the throat, you need and want more, the idea behind the story is so compelling it's difficult NOT to find it believable!"

"A Cracking Good Yarn! As a freebie I wasn't expecting a lot but I was to be greatly surprised by Mr Irvine!"

"Fascinating! " I don't usually write reviews but, WOW! What a story!"

Please this book is based on a medical phenomena that few understand and most are unaware of. At first, it may seem hard to believe. This is after all, just a story, a fast-paced thriller written to entertain you...but it will leave you wondering and talking about the definition of 'life' itself. Enjoy!

About the author

Ian Irvine was brought up in Scotland, and studied Physics for far too many years, before travelling the world working for high-technology companies. Ian has spent a career helping build the internet and delivering its benefits to users throughout the world,...as well as helping to bring up a family. Ian enjoys writing, painting and composing in his spare time. His particular joy is found in taking scientific fact and creating a thrilling story around it in such a way that readers learn science whilst enjoying the thrill of the ride. It is Ian's hope that everyone who reads an I.C.P.Irvine novel will come away learning something interesting that they would never otherwise have found an interest in. Never Science fiction. Always science fact. With a twist.

The first of Ian's novels is a Genetic Conspiracy Thriller which explores the world of Stem Cell Research and encourages us all to ask some very searching questions about the advances that science is making, and how much we, or others, should let it affect society. A contemporary adventure, "The Orlando File" takes the reader around the world and back, and creates a unique moral dilemma that the reader cannot help but get embroiled in: at the end, the reader must ask themself, what would they do in that situation?

His second novel "The Crown of Thorns" explores the power of genetics, explores the questions that the potential to clone humans will raise, and asks the ultimate question...what would happen if a scientist found a way to clone Jesus Christ?

Ian's third novel "London 2012 : What If?" departs from the world of genetics and explores an interesting possibility that Quantum Physics raises:the possibility for parallel worlds to exist alongside each other...and what would happen if a man who wondered what other types of lives he could be living had he made other choices, where unexpectedly to step from one world into another parallel world. "What If" is also an interesting voyage through human emotions, and many readers will find themselves asking themselves similar questions that the lead character does as they read the book. As with both "The Crown of Thorns" and "The Orlando File", at the end of the book the reader is left thinking...and different readers may take away different views on how the novels did, or should have ended... It is hoped that in this way, the novels will make themselves ideal subjects for reading clubs or book clubs.

Ian hopes that if you honour him by spending the time reading one his novels, that you will find it a positive experience, and enjoy it. He also invites you to email him and let him know if you did or did not enjoy the novel. And if you did, what were your favourite parts?

Happy Reading!

So where do you believe the soul goes when a person passes? Ian C. P. Irvine puts a whole new spin on organ donation in book two of Haunted From Within. This is the story of a young man who undergoes a kidney transplant and his life afterwards. In this readers opinion book one and two should have been combined in to one novel. I must admit this is the first work that I have read of Ian C. P. Irvine and I am looking forward to more. If you enjoy medical thrillers with a touch of the paranormal then this should be a definite read.

Addictive

I really enjoyed book one, I was gripped. I loved how the story flowed, there were emotional bits, disturbing bits .... Just really enjoyed it. I love thrillers, suspense, moral issues, detective books and this had it all. There were a few errors regarding proof reading but it didn't distract from the overall enjoyment. An interesting subject matter. Give it a go!

Good finish

The book needs an editor but it was still a good thought provoking novel and will hold your interest throughout. It seems that we have come far, although it might not be for the best.

I really enjoyed this book too as it provided some theories and answers to the notion that souls can be transported during organ donation. I enjoy this writer's style of writing although it does mean that I get through his books at a great pace.

Excellent read

I have read and enjoyed many of Mr. Phone's books, and this does not disappoint. The medical premise upon which it is based is both interesting and frightening. Well thought out characters and a multi-layered plot keeps you in suspense until the last page. Tough to put down, even when you are done.

Interesting book, could have been longer

The story was interesting and kept moving. I enjoyed it a lot. I think there was too much story for the length of the book, so at times it felt rushed...

Overall a fun read. There were some grammatical errors but it didn't distract too much from the story and characters. Irvine built a nice little web where you can clearly see the workings and connections. Corny at times but I think most would enjoy this book

I read this immediately after finishing Book 1, and this continues directly on from where the first left off...but I was left feeling a touch disappointed when I'd finished this one.

The pacing was still good, but I felt that the story was padded out, and really the story could have been put into a longer, single volume without any detriment to the story. I was also a little frustrated with Peter's insistence on digging up crime scenes, despite promising he would do no such thing. And contaminating said scene with DNA while he was at it!

This wasn't as enjoyable as the first part of the story, and the ending seemed almost routine, but it was still worth a read.
