Thomas MacKenzie knows Cat is keeping secrets, but getting her to trust him with them is a slow and steady process. But time isn’t on his side. Convincing Cat to stay in Surrender, Montana is harder than he could have imagined. He just has to make sure that their lovemaking is more addictive than the adrenaline rush she craves.

Liliana Hart spent five years teaching music in the public education system. She molded America’s youth, busted kids for smoking pot in the restrooms, and broke up illicit affairs behind the stage on a regular basis. (Liliana’s Addison Holmes Mystery Series, about a small town teacher who gets into a whole lot of trouble, is somewhat autobiographical, but she won’t confess to which parts).

Liliana began reading romance novels with all her new found free time, and when she ran out of things to read, she decided to write her own novels. The result was a 150,000 word thriller—a dazzling adventure—where the heroine was a thirty-year-old virgin assassin (Yes, you read that right). She couldn’t imagine why people weren’t knocking down her door to read it, but she persevered and began writing a second book. She finally got the hang of things, and eventually learned that losing one’s virginity wasn’t all that romantic after all. All of her books involve some kind of suspense (she just can't help herself), laughter, and a lot of steamy sex.

Since the failure of her first attempt, Liliana’s books have won awards such as: The Daphne Du Maurier, The Suzannah, The Linda Howard Award of Excellence, The Maggie, and many others. Her affiliations include Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America.

Liliana loves to cook, and is addicted to reading, Internet Boggle, kickboxing, and Bones. She lives in a big, rambling house in Texas with a couple of cats to keep her company. She loves to get emails from readers.

Enjoy the Adventures!

***3 Stars***

This was a really enjoyable, quick read (less than an hour). I liked that the heroine was the "bad girl" in this story. The MacKenzie brothers are a tight group and that comes across easily in such a few number of pages....same goes for the small town feel (which I love).

I was easily drawn into the story and interested in both Cat and Thomas, but holy speed of light with the insta-love! We're talking love and forever in less than 48 hours. I don't mind insta if it's done right...but this was a bit jarring.

Определено по-интригуващ начин на запознанство и по-интересен замисъл, но ако беше развит в по-голям обем страници! Сега си остава на ниво две звезди, но малко по-добра от първа част.

Two brothers down two more to go. Can not figure out who is going to be my favorite...

This is another short story. Great erotic sex and nice plot for being so short. Ready for the next one.

First of all, why do authors think it’s cool to have all male characters especially in a series to always be chasing after women? I decided to mention it here because I’m really tired of reading about characters like these. This is similar to what Cat says in the story about one of Thomas’s brothers, not towards Thomas. Similar also to another one of Thomas’s, Dane, who sleeps around with a ton of women for ten years leaving behind his love while the woman he left behind raises his son while not being intimate with anyone. I don’t know why people find it hard to believe that there are people out there that choose not to be intimate for years. Nonetheless, there was a whole different problem with Thomas’s story regarding relationships. Thomas and Cat become intimate WAY too quickly considering he’s a doctor. I was actually shocked at what took place between Cat and Thomas. There is one thing to come close to intimacy and stopping in time and a whole different issue when you’re in the middle of “CHECKING A PATIENT” and all of a sudden you’re “CHECKING OUT A PATIENT.” The romance in this was not believable at all. I skipped over a lot of it.

This series reminds me of some of my favorite series by Lori Foster but in those books the characters are more likeable and perhaps more honorable than these characters.

I really liked the more recent two and since I read in backwards order, perhaps the stories just got better as each one was written. However, after this one and knowing what takes place in the first one in the series, Dane, I cannot read the earlier ones that I have not read yet. This story ruined my mood for the other stories. I will definitely try to read the upcoming release but I’m not sure about the older ones. Very disappointed.

An interesting story in the MacKenzie Family Series. Each brother has their own book titled after their name. This is Thomas's love story.

Cat Randolph quite simply is a cat burglar. But when the current job goes wrong, she is shot getting away. All she has to do is make it the Canadian border for the drop, but swerves into the MacKenzie fence, Thomas is there to rescue her. Lucky Cat, Thomas is Surrender, Montana's only doctor. Unlucky Cat, Thomas's brother is the sheriff of Surrender and instantly suspicious.

Thomas is patient, but he has already fallen for the sexy Cat and won't be letting her go. He protects her from his brother while drawing her deeper into his life, hoping she will mend her ways and stay. But Cat has a secret and a desire not to end the only life she has ever known.

These books are two short. That is my biggest complaint. I want more! But the story heats up so fast your Kindle might implode! The one thing I do love is how the author is finding women who don't fit a typical mode for these brothers. Charlie is a mechanic (woman mechanic) and now Cat is a cat burglar. I can't wait to find out who gets Riley or Cooper!

A quick but sexy read. Quite the book for a quiet Saturday! Check it out!

Another short read

..and it drives me crazeeh! Why, because there's not enough details and I can't dwelled on its characters but I can't seem to stop reading this series. Geez.

Thomas is the second son (I guess) and he's a doctor. Yum. I liked the storyline, but I wish he could get a better girl than Cat because she's practically a thief. She even admits that she enjoys being one. Awkwaaaard.

Definitely going to read the third one. *grrrr*

overall i liked this book but for the type of situation that Cat and Thomas were thrown into there should have been more!
I think I liked this book more for the interaction of the brothers than the main characters.

Sexy and hot

Sexy, hot, romantic, and exciting!!! This is Car(yes she's a cat burglar) meets Thomas MacKenzie when a cow runs out on road in front of her car and she crashes the family's fence. Thomas is a doctor as luck and lust would have it.

Another hot MacKenzie! Thomas is a sweet, sexy, and confident man. I liked that he accepted Cat for who she is. The sex was so good, I found myself in need of a doctor.

Cat and Thomas seemed to be totally different. He was the small town doctor and she could put the Ocean's Eleven team to shame. In the end they found their way to each other in an unconventional way.

This one was ok...I liked Thomas but Cat really didn't do much for me. I just didn't feel the connection between the two. But it was cute, short and to the point kind of book.

While I liked Thomas, there was a bit of a creep factor to him. I don’t know you, you’re now my patient, but I’m just going to fuck you, isn’t a good look on any doctor. Other than that, I liked Cat and Thomas.

SEXY

I got it because I just needed a break and it was cheap. I like most of her writing and her being a cat burgler sounded interesting, but I didn't realize it was an erotic book.

Искам да знам как става така с един поглед да знаеш, че това е човекът за теб. Трябва да е вълшебно. Но в книга ми изглежда наивно.

Surrender...to Dr McDreamy!

What's a little Cat to do against the charms of a small town doctor? Who could blame her for her insta-lust for a man with both good looks and brain? Certainly not this reader.

Cat Randolph is a professional thief that circumstances of a job gone awry have led her to the small Montana town of Surrender injured and at the hands of its über charming and sweet (and damn hot) doctor, Thomas MacKenzie. Sparks fly in the air as soon as she opens her eyes and Dr Thomas makes every female fantasy of being treated by McDreamy (or McSteamy, I have always been more of a Sloan girl) a dream come true!

Certainly, the second novella of the series is more intriguing than the first, this too with its smoking hot sex scenes, insta-attraction and chemistry between the protagonists.

"I knew I wanted you forever the first moment I laid eyes on you. I wasn't planning on telling you that right away, but it seemed like a good time. I know we don't know a lot about each other, but I very much believe in fate. And even though our minds don't know each other, I think our bodies recognize each other very well."

"I think our hearts recognize each other as well," she said softly. "And if you're willing to take a chance on someone like me, then I have no choice but to trust you with everything I am.

Again, though fate would have it as mentioned above, I have my reservations about the too fast progression of the romance (he saw, he wanted, he took, he was ruined for any other woman, he loved her in less than 24 hours since meeting her, he was ready to give her the MacKenzie name, not to mention my doubts whether the ethics and boundaries of the doctor to patient relationship were respected as they ought to in real life or the safe sex that a doctor should have been expected to practice with a woman he didn't know), but I choose here not to let realism rear its head and overthink about it and simple stay on the fact that it was a pleasant short read that entices me to continue reading this series. And yes, this time the motive has a name: Cooper!
