I think I liked Destined better than I liked Trusted. Just overall, there was more depth to the characters and the writing was better and stuff. It had me reading late into the night (oops..? I do this way too often *blush*) and was definitely a page turner...or a kindle/computer turner...is it still a page turner? I don't know...

This book picks up right after Trusted left off...it's after the kidnapping and everything is running amuck. Like, seriously, how much weirder can it get? The only person who remembers Damien is Tegan, and she's all alone. You know one of the things I adored in this book? The 'OH FUCK' moments, of which they were many. Those moments when you came to an epiphany before the character and you were like: 'HOLY CRAP EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE NOW!' Those moments...just....*sigh* I don't know if I could've...just...they were just amazing.

The characters built up and brought new ideas to life. This book was slightly more...paranormal...and definitely up there with my faves. But, honestly, TAYLOR IS SUCH A TEASE WITH HER PROLOGUES AND EPILOGUES !!!! If you've read the first book you'll know what I mean...and if you haven't read the first book then I don't know why you're here!

This book did, however, clear up some stuff for me. Like how I feel about Rake and Damien. And although I'm still partway torn, I'm nowhere near as torn as I was at the end of the last book. BUT TAYLOR YOU BETTER HURRY UP WITH THE NEXT BOOK!!!! pleeeaaasssee *pouty face*

Overall, great book that you should definitely read, but go and get Trusted first. I think this is a much better book than Trusted, but let me know what you think!! :D

*Disclaimer: The author did send me a free arc ebook copy because of my love for the first novel. Which I am so thankful for but it does not make this review any less honest.*

Well, Taylor, you've left me again just waiting for more. I just adore this series. And I am stoked that there is going to be four installments. More for me to devour! Literally both of these books took me less than two full days for me to read. That rarely happens. But this series has managed it. Twice.

Now, I must admit that this book was even better than the first. WHAT? I know, I know. It's crazy. But true. I loved how while reading this one, I felt like I got to know the characters much better and I loved the twists that were put on them. And the pacing was phenomenal. No scene was dragged on to the point of long sighs and boredom. Which I am beyond thankful for. I also appreciate how relatable this world is. It is relatable with a flare of paranormal jazz. Its a nice mix.

Urks:
1. Tegan. Tegan, Tegan, Tegan. She drove me crazy by forgiving Rake so many times. But then I thought, who hasn't forgave someone over and over again even though they didn't deserve it. Everyone shamefully has. Whether they admit to the crime or not. Or when you have a breakup and can only remember all of the good memories. You'll remember the bad ones after a while but when it's a fresh wound, you can only think of the smiles and laughs. It's terrible. But human.
2. The next one seems too far away. :( But I guess since that one doesn't count haha

And I will end this review familiarly.
DAMIEN. I believe that says it all. :)

"I'm not crazy."

After Tegan is kidnapped and Damien vanishes in the end of book one, we move into how Tegan moves on from an earth shattering life moment.

She confesses to everyone what happens and no one seems to be on her side. Therapy, trying to get back to normal, family and Rake all walking on eggshells around her starts to become a little much for a sixteen year old.

Then the dreams start happening, and just a little bite of information.

"I'm Damien Sanders. I killed myself when I was eighteen. My life pretty much sucked. But that was before I knew about you. Before I knew that you were going to be my everything."

"You make me alive."

But can Tegan take all this happening while she is trying to get back to normal? Can she handle what is about to happen in her relationship with Rake?

"Sometimes life isn't about getting what you deserve, it's about getting better."

I don't know about everyone else, but I feel in love with this story line in book one and I was beyond frantic wanting to know what was going to happen next. This book is very emotional for young Tegan, she goes through a lot, the people around her go through hard spots. You get to meet another side of Tegan. I loved this book just as much as the first one. Yes, I was so upset I didn't get more answers, but after reaching the end I found out there would be more to come. Don't know how I'm going to manage, but for Tegan and Damien I will.

Taylor thank you for an amazing second book, I will be on the edge of my seat till book 3!!!!!!!!

****** this book was sent to me by the author in exchange for my honest review********

Stimac has an amazing talent. Tegan's struggles with her love of Rake even the bad sides, her faith being tested many times, and her sanity being questioned when Damien keeps popping up. Her writing is so easy to feel and believe. Adding many common life elements of our times with Sara's mothers arrest, a suicide, and abusive relationships, that most young adult authors tend to avoid and ignore. Stimac takes you through these emotions in a world wind of pain and realization of how one lie leads to another, as you try to protect someone you love. This is not your typical knight in shining armor love story. This book has more truth and value to it than any I have read in years. I applaud her for bringing these issues to light and staying true to her faith when it comes to the language used by both the teens and parents.
I love that this series isn't repetitive. Destined picks up right were trusted left off. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Towards the end of the book there are a few inverted or missing words but nothing that hampers the storyline.
I was happy to see we find out more about Damien and why he's there. I can't wait to see where Broken part three in the Trusted series will take us, but if it is anything like Destined and Trusted I know it will be another sleepless night for me.

Merpity Merp Merp.
This was a great continuation of the first book. There was none of that boring "remember what happened?" stuff that normally goes on and it just went straight into the story. It also still did a really awesome job of playing with my emotions. I still had no idea who I wanted Teagan to be with at first because Damien still kinda creeped me out in the beginning, but then as the book went on Rake started to make me want to call the police on him, even though he doesn't exist and pull Damien out of heaven and hand Teagan to him. The guys are literally opposite people int this book: Damien is sweet and caring, and Rake becomes things that should not be typed. And Teagan is awesome in this book too, especially at the very end. She is the definition of a strong character. Oh! I want to mention Rick to because he's like turning into an older brother for Teagan and I just think its adorable.
It all flowed together really nicely and it clarified A LOT with Damien.
I have decided to shelf these with my angel stuff because I am almost positive that's what Damien is now.....
And I love how it flashed forward a year all of a sudden... tehe :)
I can't wait to read the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Destined picks up right where Trusted left off. Tegan was kidnapped, she was found.... was it all a hoax on her part to get attention? That's what everyone seems to believe because nothing she says seems to add up....but she chose Rake and Damien had to leave. I was hoping to get more Damien in this story... but it was really all Tegan...and we got to see the real Rake.

I have gone back and forth between trying to decide if I liked this book better than the first or less than the first.... I'm still on the fence about it. I know that a lot of things that happened in this book were alluded to in the first, but maybe I was in denial? I wanted Rake to win? I don't know.

All I can say is that I liked this book and will be getting book three when it comes out to find out how this all ends. I'm not patient when it comes to waiting on the next book... so I am hoping there are no surprises and book three answers all my questions...LOL

This is a quick read (I actually read both book one and two in two days) once you get into the story. If you enjoyed the first book you will definitely enjoy this one!

If you like Trusted, you will LOVE Destined! I know I did!

Much deeper and grittier than its prequel, Destined will push the boundries of comfort!

As with Trusted, Destined is full of mystery and suspense, but now we also start getting some answers, with more and more pieces of the puzzle coming together!

Reading Trusted, I couldn't ever chose between Rake or Damien! The same can be said for the majority of Destined, too... However, by the end of the book I was definitely Team Damien!
I won't give anything away, but Rake was NOT the same boy from Trusted!!

Destined spreads across a large time frame (roughly two years?) but I never got lost, everything was so well laid out and fitted together, it was always easy to follow!

I LOVED reading Destined! It envoked a lot of powerful emotions and really kept me hooked and enthralled, from start to finish!

Book Three just can't come soon enough!!

I wasn't really sure where Tegan was going next when Trusted ended but I couldn't wait to find out!
I love following Tegan grow up with so many of the same issues teens of today face but with a twist! And that would be Damien. And Rake, what about Rake! I knew he was too perfect. I did get frustrated with Tegan for taking up for him but you know what that is reality!
Loved the twist and turns of Destined, and loved how easy it was to read. I too read it in a day and a half, (although nothing else got done, but I was at the lake so it was ok!) Loved getting to see more of Sara (maybe a spin-off at some point Taylor?)
At the end I was like:NOOOOOOOO, but I guess we will have to wait and see what the next chapter of Tegan's life holds and what Damien has up his sleeve.
Highly recommend this book, Great job Taylor Stimac!

I really enjoyed the first book in this series and Destined did not disappoint. In fact, I may have enjoyed this second book more than the first, which is saying a lot. Like the title says, I am now hooked on this series and will be looking out for the other two books. I don't want to give too much away, but Tegan deals with some very dark and gritty real situations in this story. I think that Tegan's character and inexperience in the dating department makes her reactions to these intense moments very understandable. I think that readers can easily pick up on her unwise choices, but at the same time, understand why she makes the choices she makes. I liked getting to know Sara a little more and I love her character even more for it. I would recommend this book to young adults and adults who don't mind reading books with younger characters.
