I bought L carnitine and the heart, The CoQ10 phenomenon and The Sinatra Solution by Dr Stephen T. Sinatra all at once.

I was very impressed by Sinatra's ideas and the way his books are put together. They are very easy to read for laypeople, but also contain very complex and detailed information for those that would like it. There is also a lot of useful information given on dosages and types of supplements and how they differ and which are best and the information is all well referenced.

As it turned out, my buying of the first 2 books was unnecessary, as 'The Sinatra Solution' book is a summary of both of them and also slightly more up to date.

The information in this book is ESSENTIAL for anyone that has M.E., or any other mitochondrial or cardiac or neurological disorder. (As is explained in the HFME paper 'CoQ10 (ubiquinol), L carnitine, D ribose and M.E.'). I can't recommend L carnitine, magnesium and ubiquinol more. I hope patients will look into them and read the facts rather than just rejecting them because they are not yet totally 'mainstream.' This has far more to do with substances like carnitine being unpatentable than any lack of scientific support for these supplements!

'The Sinatra Solution' is an ideal book for patients and also for patients to give to their doctors. I highly recommend it.

I read this book to learn how to help a friend who was having heart problems. Dr. Sinatra goes into much detail about exactly what every compound does in the body and I found this read very informative and interesting. As I was reading about l-carnitine fumarate I learned that it chelates to iron in the body and is excreted through the urine. My husband was diagnosed with genetic hemochromatosis in November 2013 and his ferritin levels were in the 7000 ng/mL range. He immediately started weekly phlebotomy sessions removing one pint of blood each time. By January of 2015 his levels were in the 4000 range. I got him to start taking l-carnitine three times a day in early January. His levels were 2700 ng/mL in February 2015. This is amazing progress. You don't need to have a heart condition to get something valuable from this book. I highly recommend it for anyone.

Holding on to your biochemistry books, Batman this one is going to take you in deep. If you wanted to understand the details of the cell of the human body, this book will take you there. You will learn in great detail why he suggests each and every supplement that he suggests for each chronic and serious medical condition you can have. This has led me to do independent research and start adding several supplements to my routine. It took me a couple of years, trying to digest this book a few pages at a time.

Began reading @HMDI_Sinatra with plans to educate myself for my dad's impending heart surgery this week. I am so glad I picked up the Sinatra Solution and Earthing. The paradigm of how I see and experience my health is shifting!

This book goes into the biochemistry of heart cell function to come up with a plan for supplementation which is helpful for people with heart disease, fibromyalgia and ME/CFS. He is an expert and has spent years helping patients, often with amazing success.

It wasn’t a bad book. But the key points of what to do to help your heart could have been written up in a couple-page essay. This book is the medical and scientific evidence and information that he is using to prove his theory. Most of the book is professional/scientific jargon and reasoning. Would be good if you wanted the explanation especially if you are the doctor wondering about it. But all I really needed to know was that coq10 and other minerals in higher doses and supplementations could help out heart conditions. Go for it if you want the medical jargon.

Great book if you have ever suffered from heart issues, or even as preventative education. If you suffer from unexplained premature ventricular contractions (PVC), heart arrhythmias, unexplained skipping of beats or flip-flopping feeling to name a few, this is a must read.

The information in this book is invaluable and might save your life. I have made changes because of it and after just two weeks am feeling much stronger, much better. And I would have given the book a solid 5 stars were it not for redundancy.

Takes the whole book to recommend 4-5 supplements. He also is into earthing which causes me to question his other recommendations (although I might also revisit earthing due to his recommendation, but it looked pretty sketchy the last time I checked).
