An Impossible Kind of Man

Rate this book
Slade might still only see her as his best friend's little sister in need of protection - but Bronwen Evans knew differently. Eight years before, she had been horrified by his callous actions, so she wasn't about to be impressed by his devastating good looks now . And, what was more, it was obvious he hadn't changed a bit. Bronwen knew that animosity would be - could be - the only thing she ever felt for him. But Slade had other ideas.

Ms Gregory has a delightful sense of humour that she uses cleverly in the creation of her wonderfully fallible characters. Slade and Bronwen are prefect for each other, they just need to get over a few misconceptions and some hefty pride. Theirs is a fun and emotional journey to HEA.

The h and H went out of their way to make problems but they made sense in context of their characters. Minor characters, especially Mrs Bickersley, are delightful.

I enjoyed this novel simply because it was different. The heroine was certainly not a doormat! It starts when Slade sees Bronwen in the hospital and feels utterly shocked because she was actually alive after an accident. He is her brother's best friend and she has known him for a long time but didn't see much of him the recent years. To her utter dismay, he decides to protect her from herself and her furry temper which frustrates her to no ends because her temper seems her only protection against her attraction to him. LOL
