The century-old "Gentlewoman's Guide to Love and Courtship" is no ordinary book club choice. But for the little book club in Smitten, Vermont, it might be their best pick yet!
Molly may not be the Smitten Book Club's biggest reader, but her new friend Gage seems to read her like an open book.
Molly's really more of a romantic comedy movie fan than a reader, but being a member of the Smitten Book Club is so much fun that she reads the selections anyway. And the Book Club has seen her through some dark days.
When Gage Turner offers to help Molly with her failing business, her book club talks her into accepting his help, even though Molly wonders if his motives are pure. After all, his business could easily absorb her customer base. But in truth Gage has admired Molly for years and has been hoping for a way to connect with her. Will his efforts prove fruitful or will Molly's pride get in the way of her own happily ever after?

Denise Hunter is the award-winning author of more than 40 novels, three of which have been adapted into Hallmark movies.
Denise writes heartwarming, small-town romances, peopled with layered characters who have real-life issues. Her readers enjoy the vicarious thrill of falling in love and the promise of a happily-ever-after sigh as they savor the final pages of her books.
In 1996, Denise began her first novel, writing while her children napped. Two years later it was published, and she's been writing ever since. Her books contain a strong romantic element, and her husband says he provides all her romantic material, but Denise insists a good imagination helps too!
Denise and her husband live in Indiana, where they raised three sons, and are currently enjoying an empty nest and four beautiful grandchildren.

Setting: Smitten, Vermont This is the last novella in the 12 book Smitten series and the third one that I have read. (I read the 3 novellas that came in a bundle and were written by Denise Hunter. I really enjoyed all three of them.) The slow burn friendship to lovers between Molly and Gage was very sweet and at times humorous. It was a quick enjoyable read. I plan to read more books by this author !!
A novella that is a sweet love story with good characterizations. When Molly tries to keep here late husband's adventure business afloat she learns secrets he had kept from her that are life altering. When a competitor offers help she is suspicious.
This was my favorite from the Smitten Book Club stories, and probably my favorite of all the Smitten novellas. Felt it was a complete story and the characters were believable. Good job.
I've been enjoying working my way through the Smitten Novellas over the last couple of years, and several reasons had me especially looking forward to reading the final title. First, since Denise Hunter is one of my favorites, I always enjoy her contributions. Second, after the horrific circumstances that come Molly's way at the start of Smitten Book Club, I was rooting for her to get her own happily ever after. And finally, I was interested to see how the mystery was going to be resolved that's been hinted at through the last few titles.
Denise Hunter definitely did not disappoint, and I thought this was such a sweet, swoon worthy contemporary. It's a bit longer than most of the other titles, and I think that contributed to it feeling more like an actual well developed story. I enjoyed how Molly and Gage have to overcome the bad blood that existed between him and Molly's late husband to find their way to a future together, and I thought their romance was both sweet and realistic at the same time.
I loved how the mystery wrapped up, and while I don't want to spoil anything for anyone else, it was definitely a satisfying ending to the series, and one that did not disappoint.
Overall, this ended up being my favorite of the titles from the series, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet contemporary romance.
After reading a bit about Molly in the previous novellas, I was pleased to finally read her story. I had such empathy for her as she faced one struggle after another. And I loved Gage—a true hero! The final story in this collection is the longest and has the feel of a complete book, though I would have been happy to read about Molly and Gage for much longer than the 120 pages that Denise gave me! [5 stars]
I received a free copy of this book from Thomas Nelson through Litfuse Publicity in exchange for my fair and honest review.
Happily Ever After by Denise Hunter This part of the book concentrates on Molly and her son Noah and she knows the business is failing. She does get an offer for help from a competitor and she learns to accept his help. She needs to learn the business of giving tours from Gage Turner. Love all the talk of getting ready, right equipment, etc. The girls give the book to her in hopes she can find more clues to solve the mystery of where the gold mine is, that could save her life. God will get her through the hard times. Won this book along with 9 other copies in a Facebook contest. I have read the other Smitten books and liked them.
Molly is devastated to learn that her late husband lied and was deceptive. He forged papers for a loan to start his adventure business with their home as the collateral. Now Curtis has been gone for almost a year and she's about to lose it all. Until his rival, Gage, turns up and offers to help. He helps Molly learn all she needs to know about the business and falls for her while he's at it. And she's falling for him too until she finds that he can't be trusted any more than Curtis could.
Most stories about gold treasure end up with no gold but plenty of life lessons learned in the process of hunting for it. You'll have to read the book to find out if Pearl Chambers had any gold or not!
Enjoyed Molly and Gage's story. Molly loses her husband and finds in trying to keep her husband's expedition business afloat that she's way in over her head. Plus she's raising her son on her own. Enter Gage. Business competitor or good neighbor? Molly must humble herself and trust him if she is to keep her business going. Did I mention that her book-loving friends have her searching for gold and love? Another nice novella by Denise Hunter. I've enjoyed this entire series.
