Entertaining story about rockstar fed up with his way of life. You've got a hot bad boy guitarist from a famous band, a beautiful independant tatoo artist and a devious evil best friend's ex-wife determined to avenge herself. Link, member of Becket and heavy partygoer is nearly thirty. No longer interested in easy sex and drugs he wonders who he has become. All is friends are settled, happily married and he longs for the girl who will see the "real" Link. He meets Madison at a funeral. She is beautiful, strong willed and the baby sister of his friend's wife. But that he doesn't know yet. Madison has always had a crush on Link but she doesn't want to be a soon forgotten one night stand. She is just beginning her career at "All About Ink" as a tatoo artist for the stars and is determined to stand on her own. In spite of it all, they give in their attraction but soon after, Madison leaves in a hurry. She is afraid to love, to be vulnerable to heatbreak and rely on a man like her mom did. Link is determined to find the mysterious girl who has rocked his world and try to woo her. Sasha is the evil ex-wife of Link's friend and will stop at nothing to have her revenge. She sets a trap and a sex tape involving Link and Madison goes viral on the net. What will happen of Link and Madison? I enjoyed the book because it was refreshing to see the rockstar chasing his unwilling girl! And Sasha is so evil, plays such diry tricks on men it was gleeful to see a real "bad" character. She was so cliché! I also liked the "stories within the stories": the pregnancy of Isabelle, Sasha's manipulations, etc. it all helped to keep me reading. If you enjoy rockstar romances entertwined with intrigues, go for it!
Honest review: I loved this book. Madison loved Link forever but knew the Rock Star side, not the real side. Link did not even like being the Rock Star any longer, but to keep his manager and his father happy, he would have his photo taken with women or never dispute stories about him. That is until he met Madison, again after she grew up. They meet after one of his sets when his other band mates ex-wife was going to set him up for a scandal. But it had caught Link with Madison instead. The drama heats up because Links band mate is also Madison's half brother in law who calls her a wee moppett. So Link is surprised when he learns this but he is already feeling things he hasn't felt before. Madison knew she should not let him get close to her heart but it is too late. I never read the first story but I plan to go back and read it and I hope there will be another for this to be a third. As the story line has already been set up between Darling and Zack and they are so far from two different worlds than Madison and Link were. That would be a funny love story altogether. I love stories with humor. Thank you.
I received it in exchange of an honest review.. And i LOVED it!!!! Madison and Link fight to keep love despite the dirty side of showbiz and the scars of being raised by a mother with crazy ways! Sexy, sweet and hot their story will be tattooed on your mind !!! I want more!!!!!
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Loving Link is the second book in the series but the first for me. It was fine as a standalone but I do think I will go back and read Isabel and Thomas's story. I read this pretty quick, there is never a dull moment!
Madison is just back to New York after a year in London studying art. She has just recently ended a relationship with a history professor and is looking for a fresh start and some independence. Using her skills as an artist she has become a tattoo artist and is apprenticing with the most famous tattoo artist in New York.
Link Jacks is the lead guitarist of the super group Becket and a well known bad boy. Used to jumping from groupie to groupie he is starting to tire of the lifestyle and is finding his rock star ways less appealing then they used to be.
Madison has had a major crush on Link ever since they met at her sisters wedding to lead singer of Becket Thomas. But that was almost 5 years ago and she is no longer the same skinny 17 year old! Madison keeps her family ties a secret when she first reintroduces herself to Link and the sparks start to fly! These two encounter many obstacles and lots of drama on there way to happiness. Demons from the past as well as brand new issues! I loved how Link referenced a lot of classical music to express his feelings and Madison did the same with art. I definitely think I need to go back and read the first book, especially to find out some more about Sasha! ( This chick is f**ked up!!!).
Thanks to T.D. Hassett for the opportunity to read this book!
First I wanna thank the author for the copy I was given. For me this book is 3.5 stars. The plot is very good, this is the story about a rock star, Link, who feels in love with Madison, a young woman, tattoo artist, who is the sister of his best friend's wife . The relationship starts with a strong attraction, but Madison is affraid of having anything with Link, because he is known to be a serious womanizer and parties all the time, she also fears the reaction of her sister and Thomas, her brother in law. Beside all this the ex-wife of Thomas , Sasha, has some kind of plan of revenge against Link, she think he is the responsable the ending of her marriage with Thomas. Now she is broken, with no one to take care of her. Madison and Link find themselves in many situations trying to destroy their growing relationship. Will their love be enough to support all these things?
The things that made me not giving more stars , is that the passage of time in the history is not very clear, sometimes seems to be slowly and suddenly is too fast. At a point, Link's father is out of the history, and didn't show he meeting Madison after all. And Sasha is a really pain in the ass, and in the end... You just have to read it! But this is my toughts... Overall I recomend this book, I enjoyed reading it!
I loved this story! Link, a guitarist with the band Becket, is getting tied of having his manager arranging him to be seen out and about with different models or actresses. He is ready for a change, not quite sure if it is married life like his bandmates. Link is now on a break from the band and is working on lots of new projects and enjoying it all. When his best friend and band member's wife Isabel's father dies he attends the funeral and meets Madison, Isabel's little sister. She has just returned to NY after studying art in London and is now a tattoo artist. Madison has had a crush on Link forever, believing he is the rock star that she reads about, she's afraid of getting hurt. Link can't seem to forget Madison and when she shows up to his show one night things get carried away backstage. Link, unaware that his band member's ex-wife wants revenge on him for what she believes was his part in her marriage falling apart has set out to get it. As Madison fights her feelings, Link is fighting for her in a different way until the revenge hits the news. Madison's life is changed overnight, but can Link and Madison make it through it all.
This is the second book, but can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed these characters so much that I will definitely be reading the first and looking forward to more from this author.
I was given this book and in return ask to write a review for it, so let me first say I'm giving 3.5 stars because there were lots of errors, I know those happen a lot in the e readers world but its still frustrating when u are reading a story and u have to reread the line because a small word is missing. As for the story its self, when I first heard about it I was all excited because "rock star" and "tattoo artist" was all I needed to hear. the story to me was a little slow getting started but once it did I was hooked, the one thing about it I did not like was the added third person, It was almost like the book was about 3 people instead of the main 2 characters and the third person's story didn't even end with the rest of the story, maybe she will be in another book and it will all be tied up but it left me a little confused. again over all I liked the story line with Link and Madison although sometimes Madison did get on my nerves but for the most part I enjoyed the book and would recommend it and will read more of this authors work:)
The author provided the ARC for a review. I enjoyed this easy-to-read rocker romance by T.D. Hassett and read it in one sitting.
The protagonists, rocker Link and art student graduate Madison, were fun to get to know. They were introduced quickly and the author did a great job of developing their characters. The chemistry between the protagonists was steamy and Link was a terrific lover. The secondary characters were a good supporting cast and did not take over the story.
I would recommend this to any romance reader. It is a light read without a lot of angst and has an HEA.
I was given a copy if this book for an honest review. I give this book a solid 3.5 stars. I did like the story and the main characters were entertaining but it wasn't one of those stories that I continued to think about after reading it. I do recommend it as a light easy read.
