Folks this story is a lot of fun. It's well written and edited. I haven't yet seen any of book three up on Royalroad yet. You might ask, if the book is so fun why did you give it three stars? It's because of the changing points of view. There are a bunch and I'm not a fan of all the characters. This caused me to just skim those points of view. Maybe in book three some of those points of view will get removed by good old fashioned combat.
The story had a nice concert but it has way too much going on as well as too much item and spell description it acts like filler and is very distracting. I wanted to like the story but honestly I skipped chapters at a time, I wanted to focus on the real main character.
part 2 of the three book set I picked up still about a solid three and a half approaching four stars
we get a lot more of other characters and viewpoints in this book and actually get some of their motivations, yes some of them still feel a little flat but for the most part it's a good time. we also get to see more into how the integrated universe and other trainers function. for a lit RPG I would recommend as it is a fun romp (they're the main character still doesn't feel much more than generic protagonist with questionable past). Even if the protagonist makes excellent fastengers
A quick read. The pace stays high, with plenty of questions left unanswered or partially discovered.
The *FULL* character sheet appears a bit more than necessary, and the information in it could stand to be pared down. Seeing the read out for every level of a skill isn’t really that important if the higher levels are simple expansions.
I will continue to follow the series, but this isn’t amazingly strong.
This is a good read all around. The MC and his associates are all interesting and likable. The only complaint is that there was a little too much time spent on other characters. Also, there was too little time spent on Ragu and what he was up to. I would recommend this book.
I am very very much enjoying this series. The best thing is the characterisation, each individual has strong attributes and is extremely memorable. Lots of humour and the mechanics are clear and easily understood. But it! You will be glad you did!
The story is good but not really what I like, I feel like Sabrina betrayed the mc, after everything he's done for her too just killed it for me I probably won't be reading anymore
Another solid continuation in Jeremiah’s story. No one seems too OP and the leveling up process continues to occur at a decent rate. Looking forward to the next!
This book simultaneously has too much and not enough detail. I understand the author wants us to know about the other elites and their progression, but half of it is just mindless fighting. Making the side characters' chapters shorter and more to the point would keep the story going and meet the author's objective.
I don't care about crime in a city the MC controls in name only. Speaking of, why is a king maker competition focusing so much on hard power when soft power is what creates nations? I don't understand why these mayors are not revolting. Then again, we've not been told how territories are conquered.
It is really annoying to introduce a seemingly overpowered item and not give us more information in the same book. I don't consider this a spoiler because there is nothing to spoil. I will have forgotten all about this item when I get to book three in 12 to 18 months from now.
For a LitRPG, the author is doing well. Starting to slip a little but still readable.
